the founder of Sirius XM radio is a sapphic trans woman and is currently trying to preserve her wife’s consciousness in a digital file so her wife can be immortal in the body of a robot.

Hi, Tumblr: this is LICHES & LYE, a shop for handmade resin dice, fannish scented candles, and more!
Some of the items above include:
a line of 6 candles based on the clans of The Untamed (brown kraft labels)
9 fan fiction trope candles (with labels cheekily inspired by AO3)
the polyhedral dice sets "arcubus", "distant skies", and "well of stars", which are WIPs/testers for my upcoming dice release!
I am an independent queer and trans crafter working out of my basement (seriously), and I make and design these products myself, including unique scent blends for my candles that you will literally not find anywhere else.
I'm so thrilled to be on Tumblr, finally, and to share my work with y'all. I've got a new candle line in the works based on the classic alignment chart, in addition to gorgeous 35mm chonky d20s and standard 7-dice sets.
I'll be posting info about my next restock here on July 15th. In the meantime, I hope you'll check out what's in stock, or head over to my insta for more dice pics!!

TW: Some angst and spoilers for ITSV, Lil' Sister is a menace.
Rio dotes on you. The age gap is about ten years. In a way, you helped her practice being a mom. You were always imitating her. "Borrowing" her clothes and body sprays too. You also liked following her and her friends around the neighborhood on your bike like you were one of them. Most older sisters would be bothered, but Rio was happy to have you tag along. Usually.
Sure, you two have had your arguments. Sometimes she was in the right, sometimes you were. These fights could be over small things or big things. A fight over you wearing her favorite earrings and losing one at a school dance. Or a fight about her telling your parents about the school report cards you had been hiding. Regardless of the intensity, you two always forgave each other. And when things got rough you two got closer.
You moved with Rio to New York, she was twenty-eight and you were eighteen. Rio went up for school and you went up for adventure. What followed was you getting arrested by some corny young cop named Jefferson Davis and your big sister having to bail you out. She went from being frothing mad to all giggly as she started chatting the cop up. You had the audacity to think your sister was buttering him up to help you out. No, that was your future brother-in-law and you were still in deep trouble.
When Rio first started dating Jefferson, you weren’t sure what to think. Talk about a stereotype. A nurse dating a cop. And he was so stiff! The guy was barely thirty and he acted like an old man already. You would talk to Rio exclusively in Spanish when she first started bringing him around. She had some bad boyfriends in the past so you weren’t about to show your good side to another loser. But then Jefferson proved you wrong. And it made you happy to be wrong, because he was so good to Rio.
Jefferson would drive Rio everywhere, always holding doors open and was never late for anything. He never gave her any sort of attitude or disrespect. It was nice to see someone take care of Rio for once.
You still liked messing with Jeff though. As they got more serious, you would put on your best glare and compliment Jeff in Spanish. All with a tone of voice like you were angry, but really, you weren’t. You would square up your shoulders to him and growl out “¡Gracias por venir, me encanta cuando me visitas!”
Jefferson was convinced for a solid month that you didn’t speak English and that you hated him. Really, you were just a shitty teenager that like playing pranks. The fun was over once Rio started translating everything you were saying. You started laying off him with the pranks as Rio told you more about his family. Sure, you were having fun, but he didn’t deserve the teasing. Though you still do it every now and again and he knows enough Spanish now to understand you.
The moment Jefferson married Rio, you became his baby sister as well. Nevermind all the pranks you pulled in the beginning. You are now his little sister and he is going to protect you with his life. He is just as protective as Rio and will hate all of your exes. Jefferson will not remember names, only weird nicknames based on his first impression like “Moocher,” “Slim Shady," or "Goth-Boy."
Aaron was your buddy. If you went through a bad breakup, expect Aaron and Jefferson to have your back. They will roll up to your exe's place to help you get back whatever you need that you left at their house. Jefferson is like the angel on your shoulder, and Aaron was the devil. Not that he was evil or anything. You two just feed off each other and tend to get into trouble. Sure, he wasn't always a great influence but he always looked out for you. And as he got older and started to get into heavier stuff, he distanced himself from you.
Sometimes you feel like you only really grew up because Miles was born. He was the first baby you had ever held. It was a great feeling, to see his little face light up when you would drop by for a visit. One of his first words was "Titi," or in English "Auntie." You liked to tease Aaron that you were Miles' favorite. He let you have that. Miles was such a cute kid. Very well-behaved and rarely if ever threw a tantrum that lasted more than a few minutes.
As Miles grew up, he started to see Aaron as the Cool Uncle and you as his Fun Aunt. Too much fun, sometimes. You live to tease your nephew. You’re always joking with him, calling him “Millas,” instead of “Miles,” as your own inside joke. Not to mention you swarming him with hugs and kisses just like his mom does.
Miles loves you, he really does. But he loathes the way you make his mom turn up by playing those “old,” songs that you two life so much. All the pop songs from the 2000’s that he pretends to not like but you know he’s humming them the rest of the day. When you and Rio get on the dance floor for birthdays or weddings, Miles is hiding. Especially if you managed to get your sister to have a few drinks first. Rio is putting that braid into a bun and is asking the DJ to put "that good music." And Jefferson is left holding her high heels. What teenaged boy can stand to see his mom and auntie obliterating the dance circle without covering his face?
Miles loathes it when you drop by his school. There is not a single teacher that doesn’t start stumbling over their words when you come by to drop off his lunch. His classmates grin at him and pester him about his young Auntie. Still, he does love you. You try to back off the teasing after Rio told you about his classmates.
After Miles got bit, you wound up walking in on him talking to some girl with a section of her head shaved and some man dressed like a homeless Spider-Man. You started swinging, immediately. Not on the girl though. You ended up getting two good hits on him before Miles explained things to you. Yeah, you're one of the few people in Miles' life that knows he's Spider-Man. After swearing not to tell a single soul, you threaten Peter B. to keep your nephew safe.
Everything happened so fast after that. Aaron dying. That explosion that left a crater behind. Those strangers disappearing. Your nephew becoming a career crimefighter. You met Aunt May and took up her role as the tech person for Spider-Man. Yes, you made Miles' new suit and you will fight someone if they say they think he's "bleeding from his armpits." Millas looks fresh as hell and you support his vision.
Losing Aaron was hard. He was a friend. And you still have guilt over it all. How you had no idea that he was risking his life and doing all these illegal, violent things for money. What kind of friend were you?
A year after that, things get tense between you and Rio. She knows you're covering for Miles when he's late for things or leaves unexpectedly. You want to tell her, but you want Miles to have the chance to tell them himself. If only Miles would get a move on with that. He's so young to have all this pressure on him. And you know there are things he's not telling you either. Like how he's lonely.
Any suggestions you try to make about him taking time off get brushed off. The more you try to push him to relax, the less he tells you. When Gwanda/Gwen came back around, you were happy. You even defend her to Jefferson and Rio. She's the girl your nephew likes and you know she's a good kid. It's just that you can't exactly say why.
After talking her up to them, you soften up Rio. Mainly by comparing Gwen to yourself saying "Not every girl with bad behavior is a bad person. And Miles is a good kid. He doesn't make friends out of people that aren't worth it." And Rio "un-grounds," Miles. You are patting yourself on the back all night. Go Titi. Who says you're a bad judge of character? You got this wise mentor shit on lock.
And then Miles goes missing. Well, fuck.
Things only get weirder when there's suddenly three more adult Spider-People creeping through your neighborhood. One of whom is a very tall man with Resting Catholic Guilt Face and a very tight suit. Oh crap.
