Nothing ever comes of it other than rumors about it for Edgeworth, at least in the fact as he didn't have any issues continuing being a prosecutor other then his own moral issues and choosing "death". But he didn’t lose his badge over it. Hell he does lose his badge willingly because he wanted the truth diring the course of Prosecutor's Gambit, but that wasn’t because of falsified evidence but more because he wouldn't go with the flow of corruption.

Mirror that with Phoenix, who also used falsified evidence that he thought was real. He immediately loses his badge and can't prove his innocence for seven years.

That was definitely done to show the level of corruption inuniverse. As Rise from the Ashes was the latest case done before Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney came out. Yeah, the rest of the main series got re-released before Apollo Justice came out, but only Rise from the Ashes was added to the first three games.

Also, in my mind, it's Edgeworth who is helping behind the scenes in Apollo Justice with Phoenix getting to do what he does, especially with the Mason System. And for sure, helped Phoenix get his badge back. Especially because both of them did the same thing, but they for sure didn't get the same punishment.

Why does TSP have so much subtle anticapitalism in it. Like. Stanley's office job is literally mind control. All the scrawls in the meeting room are about getting more money. Stanley's job is the epitome of David Graeber's theory of Bullshit Jobs. 432 too had a Bullshit Job, and because he literally couldn't do it and everyone fucking hated him, he lost his mind (and fused to the fabric of the universe about it). The Parable is an infinite loop where the Narrator wants you to go back into the loop to do the exact same thing again. When Stanley gets to the Mind Control Facility, the Narrator says Stanley wonders the only reason he ever liked his boring job was because of the mind control. Literally the office is only functional and people are only employed there because of fucking mind control. TSPUD pretty much looks directly into the camera and says "Making more sequels for the sake of sequels, for the sake of the franchise, for the sake of money, instead of because you had genuine reasons for the art to continue, for the art to say more, is a bad thing actually" and pretty much completely dissected why so many sequels and remakes suck- because they're not made for art, they're made for money (or in the narrator's case bc he's a fuckin people pleaser dnjkfksjdnfkjds). Pair this with Kevan Brighting's one tweet abt Stanley telling a cop to fuck off and die and holy shit man TSP is based as fuck

(Info about Metanoia: It's an Oc project idea I've had for 3 years now since 2022. But, due to the Fundamental Paper Education gaining popularity, I've decided and got inspired to work on Metanoia again. I plan to actually make a coherent lore for it and when I do I might make an Animated series on YouTube for it, or a web-comic. This is something I'm really passionate about and, it's something I want to try doing because I want to challenge my creativity! So, I hope by the time I'm 18 or 21 I'll have a coherent lore for everything!! DreamScape Skating Rink & Arcade is one of the many places in Metanoia! When I get done drawing all the characters for DreamScape, I'll draw the rest of the characters.)
