Love of Rose

Will you take this rose

Holding it in your heart very close

In hopes that love forever grows

Wishing the memory of it never goes

May you forever hold it in your heart

Even when we have to be far apart

As long as we grasp onto its symbolic art

The love of rose will never depart

Will you accept this rose

Regardless of all our woes

Despite all the sharp thorns and foes

Hold onto our love no matter who oppose

No matter all who want us to depart

A symbol of love I’ll forever impart

For the loss of love is quite bitter and tart

May this rose sow the seeds of a loving start

To breathe

Was an effort

That heaves heavy

The incision on my breast

To breathe

Was all the easier with you

Tenderly tending my bandages

With your caduceus spirit shining so

And to breathe in

And out was all the easier thanks to your

Healing heart and hands wishing you

Could take the weight and pain away
