It’s been almost ten years since I joined Tumblr. I honestly can’t remember the last time I wasn’t using this platform. My love for GIFs, edits, and commentary led me to dedicate this blog to the GIFs, photos, and tropes I loOove.

Every now and then — though rarely — I post my own GIFs. So I want to make this clear to anyone who might come across this blog :

I have no intention of claiming these tropes as my own — I simply reblog GIFs and posts that I find inspiring for my writing. All credit goes to the original creators.

Here are some of the tropes that have inspired me lately :

✔️ A character driven to obsession by their craft

✔️ Someone losing everything (love, health, stability) for the sake of their art

✔️ The struggle between creating for passion vs creating for recognition.

🍬 The girly girl

✔️ A girl or woman who adores dresses, perfume, and jewelry

✔️ Loving pink but being underestimated because of it

✔️ Using femininity as a strength (think charm, wit, or softness).

💎 The Queen Bee

✔️ The girl everyone wants to be — or be with

✔️ Ruling the social hierarchy with a glamorous yet intimidating presence

✔️ Vulnerability hidden beneath the perfect facade.

🌹 The Mad Woman

✔️ A woman labeled "mad" for refusing to conform to societal norms

✔️ A descent into madness, fueled by betrayal, loss, or isolation

✔️ The eerie calm of someone who has embraced their madness.

🧸Motherhood

✔️ A mom who gives up everything (her dreams, safety, even life) for her child.

✔️ Her absence shapes the protagonist’s journey.

✔️ A morally grey or “bad” character finds purpose or redemption through motherhood.

🛠️ Fatherhood

✔️ Often emotionally reserved or absent, struggling to express love or vulnerability.

✔️ Motivated by duty, legacy, or protection — even if it comes at the cost of closeness.

✔️ Usually shaped by generational expectations, personal failure, or trauma.

🐞The Girl Next Door

✔️ She’s kind, emotionally open, and easy to talk to.

✔️ She can endure pain or betrayal but still assert boundaries.

✔️ She doesn’t dominate the room, but holds power in quiet resolve.

🫀 Enemies to Lovers

✔️ They start off disliking, distrusting, or competing with each other.

✔️ Circumstances (work, missions, being neighbors, etc.) force them to spend time together.

✔️ They assume the worst of each other — until proven wrong. The hatred never comes from true malice — it’s pride, fear, hurt, or misunderstanding

✔️ They fall not in spite of the challenge, but because they see strength and worth in each other.

It is interesting how the ML only wears dark blue and white hanbok. The only time he wears black (or bright blue) is when he's acting as a spy and needs to hide so no one recognizes him (his true self).

I don't know, it just feels peotic to me.
