Hii!! 🤭 I literaly love your writing and congrats on 100 followers!! 💕 I hope this event is still going on but I was wondering if you could do…

☆-MATCHUPS… tell me about yourself, and i’ll give you a match made in heaven (fashion style, personality, and lifestyle required, but appearance, star signs, and fun facts optional <3)!

Fashion style: So I mostly wear like shabby chic and I feel like I’m always dressed up. 😭 I don’t really like to dress down because I always feel more confident knowing I have a cute outfit on! I always have my hair done too, this girl always needs her hair styled 🤭!

Personality: I’m very outgoing and loud..? I love to make people feel like they’ve known me for years even if I just met them 2 secs ago. I’m not the quiet or shy type I’m mostly the person who’ll start conversations or be the first one talking in a group project 🙄 (I’m the one who does all the work). I’m also very confrontational and I don’t let anyone walk on me. Like excuse me? I also speak what’s on my mind and don’t have a filter..which can be a blessing and a curse 😬.

Appearance: I have blonde hair (that I get done 😋). I have dark blue eyes that have a little gold near the middle also a bit of green. I have heavy eyelids that make me look all sleepy, they’re called bedroom eyes, but my mom called them Marilyn Monroe eyes 😭. I have that short and curvy body type and I learned to love my body! I also have chubby cheeks and when I eat my friends call me chipmunk 🙄.

Lifestyle: So I’m pretty busy during the week and get no time off! I do competitive dancing so I’m always at the dance studio practicing! I’m also doing kickline so I stay a few hours after school then go straight to dance 🥲! But when I finally have a day off I’m either drawing, reading, doing homework or going outside! You’ll always find me dancing or drawing! (I wanna get into art school 😭)

“Used to steal your parents liquor and climb to the roof”

“Talk about our future like we had a clue”

You perched yourself up on the top of your roof with that crippling anxiety of falling off in the back of your mind. Dallas was already sitting up there with a bottle of whiskey, that he stole from your parent’s stash in the basement, with that careless grin plastered on his face. You moved a bit closer to him as your eyes scanned the whole neighborhood.

“The west side.”

Dallas murmured under his breath with disgust but it left when his eyes met you.

“Never thought I’d be sitting on some Socs roof without spray paint or a sledge hammer.”

You rolled your eyes and turned your gaze back to him then down to the whiskey bottle.

“Well you are. Plus, you stole my parent’s whiskey out of their basement!”

“Pfft- whatever, man. I would’ve just stolen it at a store anyway. Don’t matter if it’s your daddy’s liquor.”

With that he took a swig out of the whiskey bottle. You grimaced at him, how disgusting you thought. He smirked when he pulled the bottle back from his lips before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.

“Take a swig, Doll. Ain’t gonna kill ya.”

You looked at the whiskey bottle that he was shaking in his hand like it was a piece of candy. You hesitated as he told you to drink it. You didn’t want but you took it from his hand, anyway.

“You only live once.”

He smirked and nodded before turning his head to look at that rich neighborhood that he’ll despise til the day he dies.

“Atta girl! Next thing you know you’re gonna be wearing leather jackets and carrying a blade wit’ ya.”

You shook your head and your face looked like you just ate a fresh lemon after you took a swig. You wiped your mouth with the back of your hand before passing the bottle back to Dallas.

“Here, I don’t think I can drink anymore.”

He shrugged his shoulders before snatching the bottle out of your hand and giving the bottle another quick swig. You pulled your knees into your chest as you stared out into the neighbor hood. The clean streets, the polished mustangs, the rich houses, it doesn’t mean anything to you but to people like Dallas..that just means you’re a stuck up baby. You cleared your throat.

“I hope my parents don’t find out about this. You know, sitting up on the roof with a bottle of their whiskey..with a hoodlum.”

He stared at you as you spoke before snorting like this whole thing was a huge joke.

“God, who gives a shit if they find out? What’re they gonna do, huh? Call the fuzz? Ban me from seeing my girl? Pfft- no way.”

You shrugged your shoulders hesitantly.

“Yea but..it was just a ‘what if’. Like..what if they do?”

“Well ain’t nothing gonna stop me from seeing my girl. If they try I ain’t gonna give two shits! No way, man.”

You smiled as you turned your head to look at him and just as expected he was looking right back at you.

“You mean it?”

“You know damn well I meant every word. And so what if they don’t accept us? Shit, I got a brain, I know people and I know places where we can go.”

Dallas isn’t good at expressing his feelings and I guess this was his way of saying “I love you”? But you don’t think he’d ever say that to you, not now or til the day he dies. He’s got a reputation to keep up, remember?

“Never planned that one day I’d be losing you”

“Dallas you can’t be going, you’re already injured your gonna get hurt-”

He was pacing back and forth in your living room before snapping his head back to you.

“Hey! I’m goin’, man, and you can’t tell me shit, you hear? I’m gonna’ fight for Johnny, those boys need me. I don’t care if you like it or not.”

His words stung as he starred daggers into your eyes. This doesn’t feel right, not at all. But before you could respond to his coldness he rushed out of your house..not even with a goodbye.

That’s why now you’re running down your perfect paved streets barefoot, with your breathing frantic. You had gotten a frantic call from Darrel Curtis saying that Dallas is doing something stupid and you need to head to the vacant lot. You tried to be quick as you ran, but you kept stumbling over your own feet. You hurriedly tried to run to the lot as you saw a group of boys running infront of you. You ran past them as you panted trying to get some air in your aching body but what you saw made your breathing stop. Cops…guns..Dallas. Dallas holding a heater at the cops?

Crack

The gun shot rang through the silent night.

Dal’s body tumbled down the hill and fell on the cold, cracked road. The yells and screams from the gang surrounded you. The feeling of the cold air made you feel like you were frozen in place. You were too late, everyone was.

“In another life”

“I’d be your girl”

“We’d keep all our promises”

“Be us against the world”

The crisp new autumn air tugged on your hair as you headed to a place you never thought would. Dally’s grave. You sat down next to him as you looked up at the setting sky. Normally it would never be this quiet between the two of you, but now it’s just one left. All you’re left with are your thoughts or ‘what if’s’. But you knew Dallas would have ended up this way no matter what you did right or wrong. You just wish it didn’t happen so soon.
