Taylor does not approve of this blog and propaganda
You wish, anon ...
Do you think that bothers taylor that people speculate about her sexuality?
no.
listen to episode 3 of the podcast.
in summation: celebs who do not want their sexualities speculated on do not signal the way taylor does. they do not make themselves the center of an lgbtq trailer park in a music video. they do not release a song called me! on lesbian visibility day with the phrase âme! out now!â they do not deck themselves in rainbows and sing âi want her midnightsâ on national television. and they definitely would not allow a documentary to air that they produced in which they list âgay prideâ as part of a list including âeverything that makes me, meâ
i am confident that taylor is signaling to her lgbt fans and wants us to know that sheâs one of us. if i were not extremely certain of this i wouldnât even have this blog or podcast. speculating on someoneâs sexuality that signals as much and as loudly as she does is fine from a respectful distance. (click here to see blog rules on keeping a respectful distance.)
YâallâŠ. Iâm speechless. This is a comment Karlie left on her new YouTube video todayâŠ. Not straight⊠I-
Also, I remember Taylor saying that This Love started as a poem that she had written about somethimg that happened in her life a year before 1989 dropped.
I can't imagine what happened! đđ„ș
Of course it was a poem lâand yes... my emisue heart melts with this video. I'm crying with you friend.
Yeah, according to the lover diaries she wrote This Love in October of 2012. These lyrics hit a certain nerve for meâŠ
so you know how the main Lame Guy from the ME! mv is clearly supposed to be a caricature of skint poor cheater⊠well now iâm thinkin about how you can read almost all of that song as a fuck you to him
e.g. âI know I never think before I jump / And youâre the kind of guy the ladies wantâ as a direct throwback to the final chorus of fifteen when she says âCause when youâre fifteen and somebody tells you they love you / Youâre gonna believe them. / And when youâre fifteen, donât forget to look before you fallâ â just in general iâve been listening to fifteen a lot lately and reading it through the lens of her signing her contract with sc*tt and bmr at 15. so we have this idea of being a young girl with big dreams of making it as a singer (âwhen all you wanted was to be wantedâ), and because all the ladies want for a producer or music executive or whatever to notice them, when he says youâre gonna be a star, kid, youâll trust him enough to not think before you jump / look before you fall. and like⊠âI never think before I jumpâ has always been kind of weird for her to say about herself now because 30-year-old taylor is the queen of meticulously planning everything, but if you consider her thinking about 15-year-old taylor + âwish you could go back and tell yourself what you know nowâ ⊠itâs a reflection on the naivete of her youth, and itâs a warning [cut to her vogue 73 questions interview where her advice to young artists was âget a good lawyerâ]
and then of course we have âBut one of these things is not like the others / Like a rainbow with all of the colors / Baby doll, when it comes to a LâĄVER / I promise that youâll never find another like ME!â
when you think about the fact that big machine records IS taylor swift, and that Lover is her first album that is not with bmr and that they wonât be able to profit off of, and the fact that theyâve obviously been searching for The Next Taylor Swiftâą for years but havenât been able to find one because there is no one else like her⊠it just makes so much sense??? honestly i like it so much more now reading it this way bc tbh thinking about these lines in the context of a romantic relationship is Not The Healthiest Outlook. but her saying fuck you sc*tt, youâll never get another one of my albums, youâll never find another taylor swift⊠OKAY MISS SWIFT!!!!!! GO OFF!!!
AND add on top of that, all of this is because âone of these things is not like the others / like a rainbow with all of the colorsâ i.e. sheâs gay and all you misogynistic homophobic assholes kept her closeted for literally half her life in order to make more money off her, so letâs make it CLEAR that THIS is why you fucking lost her, and why when it comes to a songwriting juggernaut who cranks out record-breaking albums like she was fucking born for it, youâll never find another like her.
also sidenote, calling a man who has objectified and belittled and controlled you for years âbabydollâ as a dig at his clearly very fragile masculinity? POWERFUL.
i mean i should probably mention the apparently necessary disclaimer that songs can be about many things at the same time and ME! is still overall a lighthearted gay bop thatâs mainly meant to be about positivity, and taylor singing âbabydollâ is still very gay and cute when you take the sc*tt angle out of it, but there is absolutely an undercurrent throughout it of this being a direct response to the whole bmr debacle.
Even in the way she talked about it in interviews, saying itâs a song âthat reinforces the fact that weâre different, and obviously there are a lot of songs about âIâm special,â but I hadnât heard one recently that was about âIâm special because of who I amââ ⊠this distinction of Iâm special because of who I am really resonates if you think about her losing her masters, i.e. the thing that made her special and Valuable to all the lame guys out there, (and if you think about this alongside her speech at the Time 100 Gala where she talks about how specifically writers have the power to turn their lessons into their legacy), sheâs reiterating the idea that itâs not the recordings sheâs created in the past or all her awards or success or whatever that made her special, itâs not the fact that some man ~discovered~ her 15 years ago that made her specialâshe is special because of who she is, because of her goddamn mind and this ability to write that she has inside her, and that is something that no one can ever take away from her.
tl;dr iâm a ME! stan now thanks for coming to my tay talk
Wait for the signal, and Iâll meet you after dark Show me the places where others gave you scars
Taylor Swift â Willow (2020)
This is the text Taylor sent to me on Monday, November 19th at 8:57am:
Scott,
I hope this finds you well. Since communication ran dry on our negotiations, Iâve done what I told you I would do and gone out exploring other options. Owning my masters was very important to me, but Iâve since realized that there are things that mean even more to me in the bigger picture. I had a choice whether to bet on my past or to bet on the future and I think knowing me, you can guess which one I chose. I also saw a rare opportunity to effect positive change for a lot of other artists with the leverage I have right now. I know you believe in the same things I do and Iâd like to think you would be proud of what Iâve negotiated for in my deal. I wanted to tell you first that Iâll be signing with Lucian. I honestly truly cherish everything you and I have built together and I plan on saying so in my announcement of the new deal. What we accomplished together will be a lasting legacy and a case study on excellent partnerships, and may it continue. I still view you as a partner and friend and I hope you feel the same. Sending you a hug and my most sincere gratitude.
And SO much love,
Taylor
Gosh, Grey November for sure. My gosh. November 19th is haunted for real.

Fitting for her to release Red TV on that date.
remember when karlie kloss couldnât walk by her girlfriend like a normal model and had to execute two spin moves on the down-and-back to blow her kisses and maximize eye contact to record that moment in her brain. incredible balance and focus.Â
and how they had this moment on a bed of hearts in front of everyone.
