this has been said a million times but I will literally never get tired of the way announcements/promos for good omens always have to hype it up and make it sound like some high stakes fantasy spectacular as though we don't know full well the actual plot is gonna be like. aziraphale and crowley do a little dance. aziraphale and crowley put on silly outfits. aziraphale and crowley drive around in a car.
On the origins of stabby day
(which was yesterday, but still)
The funniest thing about Supernatural gotta be that Cas was this clueless nerdy dude who couldn't flirt if his life depended on it. and yet he somehow ended up with two wives and a husband.
hi mr.gaiman,
i have a particularly important question.
some parts of the fandom explicitly don't like aziraphale. most are cool with him now, but people still end up unconsciously prioritizing crowley. even if crowley might be their favorite character, it still hurts me deeply to see one half of the two being pushed away for whatever reason. both characters are important to me equally.
so, not a sadie or dottie answer, but seriously - can you confirm both of them will be given equal amounts of love in the story of season 3? basically that one won't be given more power in the story or one won't be heavily prioritized over the other.
i have an assumption you won't do this, but with the internet and all, i just wanted to know if both the idiots will be equal to some extents in the story of season 3.
I'm afraid neither Crowley not Aziraphale will be in Season 3 at all now, but I'm sure you'll love the new cast, a wild young rock and roll band on the run from the law. They rob banks! They fall in love! They raise llamas!
Also featuring Morris the Edumacated Pig as himself.
Something about Sam, especially in the later seasons, is that he is the first one to forgive, the first one to sympathise and the first one to understand.
After everything he's been through, being a pawn jerked around the chess board his entire childhood by heaven and hell, being tainted with demon blood, The Cage - it only makes him further believe in the persevering goodness that exists in people. Even when proved wrong, even when it comes back to bite him in the ass, still he sympathises.
After Castiel went haywire in s6/7 and broke his wall merely as a way to hold Dean back, still Sam prays to him and says that he forgives him, that he still thinks of him as family.
After Mary reveals she is working with the BMOL behind the brother's backs, the same people who kidnapped and tortured Sam for days, Sam is the first one who responds to her and meets with her to try and understand her perspective, even when he is still angry and hurt.
Once Jack is born, without Castiel and Kelly, Sam is the first one to believe in his goodness. To fight for him, even against his own brother, even though this is the son of his tormentor.
Even when they catch Ketch again in s13 and Ketch spews some crazy shit about being his twin brother, even though it's stupid and it comes back to bite him in the ass, Sam gives him the benefit of the doubt. He lets him out of the dungeon and gives him a sandwich.
He is the first to forgive Castiel again and again and the first to make an effort to understand his perspective.
I just... I love sam so much... he just believes so much in other people and their capacity for goodness and change. He knows from experience how messed up the world is and how being put in certain situations can make you do bad things, so he always gives people the benefit of the doubt.
there are 3 types of people after the good omens season three announcement:
-makes cute fluffy content because WHAT DO YOU MEAN, EVERYTHING IS FINE, I AM THE GIRL (gender neutral) WHO LIVES IN DELUSION
-makes such incredibly angsty content you have to put your phone/computer/whatever down and stare at the wall for a few hours
-they’re not talking ;)
other shows: break the fourth wall maybe once when a character stares into the camera
supernatural: all the walls are broken and the entire house is crumbling down (was it caused by a ceiling fire? no one knows)
Do you guys ever think about how canonically the vessels that angels occupy aren’t supposed to age (s12e10 when Cas is impressed his buddies kept their same vessels for well over a century. Also apparently Cas tells Jimmy when he first was requesting permission to inhabit his body, that Jimmy would not age while he was doing so.)
…but Castiel definitely ages. Obviously I get that this is simply because Misha himself is aging, but *my* in-universe headcanon is that he’s choosing it, (whether consciously or unconsciously) because he wants to grow old with Dean.
Gutted because I am once again reminded that DEAN LOVED CAS SO FUCKING MUCH had there been no deal with the Empty and they landed in the exact same situation DEAN WOULD HAVE CONFESSED FIRST he would have said he wanted something he knew he couldn't have but at least he got to go out with a bang THAT'S what Pamela stood for during the Michael dream and if that dream, that narrative, was all about Dean's deepest desires being used against him to make him stay then what the fuck was all that subtext about IF DEAN DIDN'T LOVE CAS WHY DID HE PARALLEL JOHN AFTER MARY DIED THE FIRST TIME literally there is no fucking way.
Dean would have confessed first istg y'all, he loved Cas so fucking much it hurts and extenuating circumstances aside, he's always been chasing Cas when Cas left or—like in Rupture—let go when Cas deserved space to rethink his decisions and actions. From Leviathans to Purgatory to the Angel Tablets to the Mark of fucking Cain to Amara and all the crap with Chuck. There were many mistakes made but the fact stands that Dean loved Cas so fucking much.
Mr Fell does a partner reveal (finally!)
