My bosses sometimes will schedule minors for 47 hours a week, with 13+ hour days but they throw in a fifteen minute break just before we hit eight hours so the don’t have to pay us overtime. And we are life guards, we work outside all day every day. We can be out side in 115 degree heat for two hours with a 20 minute break before we’re outside again. And most of the staff isn’t even 18 yet.
There is no part of this diatribe that is not amazing or 100% true.

Saw a post where someone says Thomas Sanders “is almost 30 and actively encourages minors to send nsfw art.”
Found out that what actually happened was that a kid who purposefully took their age out of their bio before submitting the art because they were afraid Thomas might get in trouble later forgot about it and re added their age and then people went digging through Thomas’ blog after he made an ace positive post and found it. Dog pile ensues. Thomas apologizes for mistake and says he should have found out the person’s age before publishing.
Y'all have GOT to stop acting like a fucking gaggle of church gossips about this stuff. There is a universe of difference between accidentally accepting something from a minor and ACTIVELY ENCOURAGING it. But someone uses that phrasing and it just gets repeated and twisted even after the minor in question explains what happened.
People already act suspicious of gay men that are just “too” nice and I’m so tired of people constantly looking to prove someone is actually the worst kind of person ever just because they don’t agree with them.

Well I know most suburban American homes often have a small room( normally near the garage) that is just for the washer and dryer. Or they could be put in the garage or basement, or we just say fuck it and do all our laundry at the laundry mat at the strip mall.
As a cops daughter I know full well the dangers and risks cops face every day, and I understand that they have to always be on guard when the enter a scene. But this is completely insane. They were unarmed, they weren’t resisting arrest, and they weren’t threatening in any way. The woman was pregnant, she was holding a baby, they were pointing the gun at that baby and demanding that she simultaneously exit her vehicle with, and keep her hands up. There was no reason for their guns to be drawn in the first place, shoplifting is not a dangerous crime, and very rarely does shoplifting turn violent. They had no excuse and it is terrifying that they weren’t immediately fired for this brutal behavior.
$10m each I hope. There is never a reason to point a gun at a woman who is holding her child. This video makes me sick. Everything about this is wrong. They don’t deserve that uniform

Even people who aren’t against homosexuality think that being gay means that all you think about is sex. I talked to a girl one day who was complaining about her homophobic mom who thinks that gay means gross sex, and the girl said “It’s not gross, it’s hawt!!!1!” I was honestly stunned, to think that someone could say they aren’t homophobic and still think that fetishizing gay couples was ok.
even my homophobic dad made a good point about homophobic people. he said that when you mention a gay couple to homophobes they always get disgusted and the first image that pops in their head is fucking in the ass, lesbian porn etc, etc and when you mention straight couples to them they think about two people holding hands and romantic shit like that. i hate this so much because homophobes consider gay people to be something disgusting and impure which is infuriating because they consider gay people to be these objects that only think about dick or pussy and that being gay is the only thing that ecompasses a gay person, like we don’t have personality or something
Also back to potlucks, I know that all the church potlucks I’ve been to ( at several different churches) they will always try to send leftovers home with big or struggling families. Family took a pay cut, take home the last half of that casserole. Family of 8 takes home the second in opened enchilada tray. They also always label who made the food because you never take home your own dish ( unless it was picked clean) some one else will have your dish, and they need to know who to return it to. Some communities also have programs where people can make home cooked meals and they will be delivered to struggling families, I know when my dad lost his job our local program sent us at least one batch of home made cookies a month.
Note to vacationing non-Americans: while it’s true that America doesn’t always have the best food culture, the food in our restaurants is really not representative of what most of us eat at home. The portions at Cheesecake Factory or IHOP are meant to be indulgent, not just “what Americans are used to.”
If you eat at a regular American household, during a regular meal where they’re not going out of their way to impress guests, you probably will not be served twelve pounds of chocolate-covered cream cheese. Please bear this in mind before writing yet another “omg I can’t believe American food” post.
Hi!! Important announcement regarding people dating trans boys and trans boys in general!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having an intimate or even sexual relationship(as long as it is consenting), but please remember that binders are NOT supposed to be worn during physical activity or anything physically straining! So while dysphoria is something to factor into your relationship, so is safety! Safety during sex or anything intimate in nature(i.e. even making out) does NOT just mean dental dams or condoms and consent, it also means being safe with your body. So please, please, wear a shirt or sports bra if you don’t want your chest involved, but DO NOT wear your binder! You can ask your partner their limits on their chest and if you are the trans boy, tell your partner your limits, but don’t wear your binder, please!! Stay safe my lovelies!! Side note: if your binder is a size up than your usual size, and you have done your research and know that it is safe to wear during exercise, then go forth! Be safe!
