☻ A drabble of our muses on their wedding day

Mike promised to never make fun of his sister-in-law again after this was all over.

It had been a hassle since day three, when he and Sarah tried to do everything, from catering to registering, picking out everything and figuring out seating. It was a lot to go through for something that might last twelve hours tops. He couldn’t get anyone to pay attention to him and they kept having arguments over what to use and who to invite.

Once Mary had stepped in, settling the arguments and bringing her own experience and business connections into the mix, everything started coming together like syrup. Sticky, sticky maple syrup that’s good but gets everywhere.

Staring down at the aisle, watching Sarah come up in the dress she had picked out weeks before, he felt better than anything else he had ever done in his life. Even in the stuffy suit, he had never felt as peaceful and whole as he did then.

I feel like i should make this post, because not a lot of people seem to realize that Emerald City only has ten episodes this season. We’re almost already halfway through.

“Awesome! Season 2!” you might be thinking.

WRONG.

As of yet, they haven’t started filming a second season, and we don’t know if they ever will. The ratings are actually quite low, and unless Tarsem decides to say “fuck it” and make another season anyway, we’ll never get to see how the story continues.

We won’t have any more Dorothy and Lucas.

We won’t have Tip or Jack or West.

We won’t see any possible new character like maybe The Patchwork Girl or Shaggy Man. And unless they wrap everything up in the final episode–which I have no idea if they will or not–we may be left with some cliffhangers.

I don’t want to be left with possible cliffhangers. I want to see Dorothy and Lucas and Tip and Jack and West’s stories continue.

Because of the shitty ratings, our only choices are to GET MORE PEOPLE TO WATCH THE SHOW. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your local bookseller. We NEED more people to tune in so the network will consider keeping it.

Another option is to campaign on Twitter. We should be starting a #SaveEmeraldCity or similar hashtag to get the attention of the writers, actors, and director.

Guys, I know it still feels premature–the show’s only been on for four episodes–but it’s already almost over, possibly for good. Don’t fall asleep on the wheel. If you’re already as connected to the characters as I am, help me save them.

Alright guys, things are not looking great for Emerald City’s renewal. And before I knew that they would likely be setting up a cliffhanger ending, I wouldn’t have minded just one season of this wonderfulness, I’ll take anything I can get. But, if there is more to tell in this amazingly beautiful world then I think it’s worth a shot to try to save this show! Who’s with me?! my god, I am terrible with these sorts of things, forgive me

No, things aren’t looking great. TV Grimm Reaper expects it to be canceled:

Emerald City is likely to be canceled. Its ratings weren’t terrible for a Friday premiere, but they haven’t stopped declining. Last week’s 0.6 puts it into the likely canceled range, even for a Friday show. As you read the nonsense from the #PRJedi in the TV media about Emerald City being an “event series” remember what that means: If it had good ratings, it would be renewed. Since the ratings are bad, one season was always the plan! (x) (Can that mean that there isn’t actually a cliffhanger? lol) 

But! Tv By the Numbers says it’s still a toss up (same goes for Timeless, guys check that shit out too, it’s so awesome!).

Here are some things we can do:

Watch it live! (WHY CAN’T I HAVE A NIESLEN BOX, WHY? I WATCH GOOD SHOWS, DAMN IT) If you can’t watch live, watch it legally through streaming sites like Hulu or nbc.com if you can. (I understand if you are outside the US it doesn’t count (WHY))

Tweet!! LIVE TWEET! During the show and before and after it airs (I think it’s 20 minutes before and after that it counts, I think?)! Use #EmeraldCity as a priority tag and then, hey, maybe we can get that and/or #SaveEmeraldCity to trend! And fans outside the US, this is where you can really help! It airs twice, once at 9 PM EST and 9 PM PST on Fridays (use google to find out what time that is for you and Tweet away! :D)

Follow Emerald City on all social media platforms and engage! Even if it’s a like! Sharing is great and promotes it. 

Spread the word! Maybe you can get some other people into it too! (Especially if they have a Nielsen box… bribe them them….)

There’s a time travel fan fic where somehow Emma gets sucked through Henry’s book and ends up in the past with lieutenant jones and captain jones. She gets in trouble because she steals from them and she asks them to help her get back. She erases Killian’s memories until she gets back to him in the present and gives them back to to him.
