Hannibal, S2E11 "Ko-No-Mono"

In the “Hannibal” novel, the teacup metaphor is used to describe Hannibal’s desire to invert time and reality and bring Mischa back.

That’s the heavy analogy going on in this scene, Mischa and Abigail as shattered teacups and Will mirroring Hannibal’s grief for his sister. "I wish I could give it back”: in a way, Hannibal is trying to create a reality in which he, as a more merciful God, gives Will his beloved girl back - in which the teacup, at least for Will, is able to "gather itself up again".

Imagine how Hannibal must have felt during Mizumono: forcing Will to re-experience Abigail's death and reliving his own trauma through Will, just when he thought he could have a chance to give Will what he himself would never be able to have back.

maybe having Will wake up (after the Verger farm) to Hannibal playing the piano, and realizing why it was tuned..

Also Hannibal lovess the piano and i'm sure he would play something beautiful for Will

I think we as a society need to talk more about the fact that Will owned a piano. We were robbed. We could have had a piano scene.

i keep seeing ppl talk about a fic like this, and i think it's a sign for how my fanfic should go

Hannigram fic idea: post fall, they don't fight each other over forgiveness, past events, Abigail or uncertainty over their feelings for each other.

They'll have to prove fate that they are going to stick together and never let go, though, even if their hands are bleeding.

(apart from the year differences) it would make sense cause both Hannibal and House studied at John's Hopkins medical school and could have known each other.

But i imagine they didn't go to a hospital more like Hannibal called House and House got interested on what happened so he went with Wilson to help them

What if I was insane and said Hannibal x House m.d crossover.

Wilson: They're serial killers House! And not to mention CANNIBALS!?

Meanwhile hannigram are vibing as if they're not fresh out of the sea and Will is glaring at anyone and everyone while Hannibal complains about hospital food.

i also like to thing that when Hannibal told Will "i gave you a child" he also meant "i gave you a family" in the way that Hannibal had also been Will's wife

There's something so awfully sinister about the fact that Hannibal was locked up, and content to be so, and didn't try to stir up anything in his time in prison ... until he found out about Molly and Walter. And then he immediately sent someone to kill them. To get rid of them. To destroy this life Will made for himself that did not include Hannibal.

Molly being Will's wife was unacceptable. In fact, Hannibal quite literally couldn't accept it. Whenever he referred to her he always said "the wife". Not "your wife". The wife. Not only is it impersonal and dismissive, it also sounds an awful lot like "the woman you're married to but doesn't hold your heart" sounds an awful lot like "the woman you're married to that can't satisfy you like I can". And Walter... Walter was just a kid but Hannibal didn't care. Hannibal isn't above killing children, especially this one who dared to fulfil Will's fantasies of being a father that Hannibal felt he had full control and power over. Abigail was conditional on Will behaving (and got taken from Will for his betrayal). Margot's baby had to be gotten rid of because Hannibal hadn't given it to him. Hannibal hadn't given Walter to Will either. He had to be dealt with, just like Margot's baby.

Hannibal is genuinely so awful when he's jealous. We don't see it often - it's usually Will's jealousy that we see (with Alana, Bedelia, Randall etc.) but when Hannibal gets jealous it's terrifying.

i love seeing these posts cause majority of them are from teen boys that never watched the show and think Hannibal is just an edgy character (like Homelander style)

and i would LOVE to see these dudes realizing this show is incredibly gay and that Hannibal is just pathetically inlove with Will :))

Might be a little mean but god I am so fed up with that "nothing here is vegetarian" scene ALL over Instagram people thinking it's peak.

Like okay it IS, but where's my "I let you know me, see me"?? Where's "we could disappear now"??? "Isn't that how you found me"????, "think about me"?????

I just verified my Ao3 account (haven't even published anything) and i've been hit with a fever

I feel the Ao3 curse has hit me prematurely

"Post-fall Hannibal would kill Chilton" No he wouldn't.

Hannibal wants Chilton alive, surviving more than living, cause that's the lesson Chilton needed to learn.

Chilton always believed he was in charge of people, that he had power over them. When he truly didn't.

He felt like he had power over the fake Chesapeake ripper, and for that he got his organs removed while awake. He thought he had power over Will, and the fact that Hannibal was the real Chesapeake ripper, and that got him framed and shot by Miriam. Lastly, he thought he had power over the Great Red Dragon, and that got him burnt alive.

He has suffered time and time again, every time because he went against Hannibal, and believed he has power over the situation. But he never truly did.

So he would keep him alive, as a cruel reminder that he is powerless, and that he would be dead if Hannibal wanted to.
