Interestingly this post reminded me of that octoling in Yoko and the Gold Bazookas, who looks notably different from others we have seen.

They are named Tao Blu apparently, and they're based on the blue ring octopus. But their larger hair looks similarly styled to the rival octolings, making me wonder if they were one before? Perhaps there are more variants of rival octolings than the cloned models in the games would have us believe?
