Cursed cats!
TMAGP 10 SPOILERS
Nigel Dickerson's SOS?? Comedy dungeon??? MR SIX??? Staticky voice with an ominous rumbling.
"No guests were hurt" and "you've got buried"?? Berried, I think. Ominous.
Mr Bonzo - no one remembers who came up with the name. No one had seen the suit move... Someone's arm was broken while wearing the suit...the audience loved it. "It became a ritual", there were injuries...
The kids actually did like Mr Bonzo
"We all know what happened" with the music
A serial killer was caught dressed as Bonzo - with the colors backward. 11 bodies, same number of weeks "Mr Bonzo's on his way" was top song.
SOS got cancelled
Edgy fans, Bonzo meme, merchandise still on sale
People think of Nigel Dickerson and Mr Bonzo is never far behind
He's a prisoner of Bonzo???
The serial killer is still going, and Bonzo costumes were found at the scenes.
Celia and Colin
Colin wants to talk to Alice, therapy didn't work. He's back to figure it out. The other's absence will make things earlier and he doesn't want them to know he's been here (including Lena).
SAM IN THE MAGNUS INSTITUTE WITH ALICE IN THE RAIN
Digging through mulch and Sam finds a key
Alice is desperate to leave, and she seems to have no connection to this place, so I'm convinced she doesn't remember the Institute if she was indeed in the program there.
Gwen is trying to deliver an envelope to Dickerson, but he says "It's not for me"
FUCK IT'S MR BONZO
TRY NOT TO STARE. IT DOESN'T LIKE IT WHEN PEOPLE STARE.
"It looks like they got another one for you" so the OIAR is getting Bonzo to assassinate people?
"Now, get out of his house." Gwen lives.
I HEAR A TAPE RECORDER BUTTON. SAM AND ALICE ARE ON TAPE. They're getting closer...
They're in someone's office... who's Archie? Archive?
Ominous chair. Pattern of worm tracks on floor?
Sam dropped the key, there's a pit in the office.
Sam has memories of stuff happening here and wonders why they didn't choose him. He wants to find "where everything started to go wrong."
Something scuttling in the background. A spider? It stinks in here.
Sam and Alice leave for the pub. A huge door slams. Another door creaks open and closed. Footsteps... breathing... whispering of many voices.
AGHHHH HOW DO I SURVIVE FOUR WEEKS
I think that the kids were becoming the archivist, perhaps, and someone is still living in the institute.
No idea who Mr Bonzo was sent after.
That maple-flavored american makes great rage noises
Initial malevolent impressions:
šAmericanšØš¦: "I'm inside you and I don't want to be"
āBritishš¬š§: "Lost my sight to disembodied book mind. Ah well, whoopsie."
as much as elias coming back as a weird stoner uncle is a funny idea, letās not forget elias took over the institute in 1996. if tmagp is following the same timeline as tma up until that point, that would mean jonah would have already taken control of eliasā body before the institute burned down in 1999. there were also no survivors, so itās very possible this universeās elias/jonah died at that point
Does your stomach ever reject life
So much here
I imagine those article pics in the voice of 70s Geraldo Rivera
I bet Ms. Anita here eats lesbians for breakfast...haw, haw
Why are they suggesting a gay orange juice spokesperson if they think the majority of oj drinkers are 1) heterosexual and 2) homophobic? Seems like a non sequitur but obviously I've not read the full thing.
This woman also said āhomosexuals cannot reproduce, so they must recruit. And to freshen their ranks, they must recruit the youth of America.ā But here she is "freshening" her own ranks of the orange juice cult! Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
She also did interviews with Playboy to promote her Christian campaign against homosexuals. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Also her book, The Anita Bryant Story: The Survival of Our Nationās Families and the Threat of Militant Homosexuality.
This is a pretty good article: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna24215
But really all that matters is that she lost her orange juice pusher job in the end. Time for a nice tall glass of refreshing revenge!
Riley running from his bad choices to go play hero, then blaming it on Buffy and using it as an ultimatum to punish her for her lack of emotional vulnerability, is just such a wild fucking twist. That's leaving out the gory vamp bordello and the mom cancer details.
And then the narrative is like "they're willing victims. They don't deserve Buffy's help. Buffy the vampire slayer wants to slay those vampires for selfish reasons!"
And then the torturing? With a plastic stake? Bruh
Masterpiece of character assassination. At this point, after so many rewatches, I can only pity Riley for being the narrative's dumb tool.
"Hey I just cheated on you. Decide you still want me or I disappear."
Migraines make me feel like that prophetic rabbit from Watership Down. Fiver. Like the terrible whole body shivering and burning skull and teeth must presage awful events, each symptom an omen of terror to come.
I'm a little obsessed with seers and thinking about that is my coping mechanism for this cluster. Also, tracking migraines, I figured out they come in clusters. Beautiful brilliant great. I love it. I can predict the future! And the future is painful.
At least I know it ends. That's a pretty good thing to know.
TMAGP's liminal spaces so far (EP 7 spoilers):
1. The Graveyard, the Magnus Institute
2. In5oul's studio
3. The Garden
4. N/A? Perhaps where the protagonist met the merchant
5. The Theater
6. N/A? Does an alley count? Does a call station count?
7. Hill Top
I'm calling them liminal bc they're described only at certain times of day (middle of the night for the graveyard) or in terms that make their entrances and exits, as well as the passage of time within them, unclear (like the tattoo studio and the garden). The theater preserved from childhood memories, yet staffed with only one employee, the Magnus Institute where doors are all open while it lies abandoned, etc., feel solidly liminal to me.
Hill Top is mainly there because of, y'know, but I do think the events of 7 make it a space with unclear limits and volume. It would be ironic if it has nothing to do with Hill Top Road.
I feel like the OIAR office is liminal (between sunset and sunrise, for one thing). The sheer vibes off that place!
