I Also Have No Idea What's Going On There, But Yes My Top Three Genshin Husbands.

if there’s one small event in genshin that i find myself “getting sweaty” it has to be the short photo event. here are some of my okay pictures, and i’m saying okay because i actually had a difficult time getting the photo i want, in the composition that my head has already formed (but my hands failed to execute). that said, i still like them enough to post the ones i really like here. and can i just say that wriothesley looked immaculate in all three frames in the weeping willow area. zhongli, too, but that’s nothing new.

the requirements needed for each photos limited my attempt to make this photo event an exclusive photo shoot for all of my favourite genshin husbands. and someday, i’ll have the energy to crop out genshin’s logo on the side of each photos, but for now it will stay.

some of kemeroot’s outdoor baths by the beach featuring different kinds of baths and a couple showers, too! i kind of want to make another outdoor baths area in kemeroot that’s inspired by the visuals of watatsumi island (mermaid set is one of the prettiest furniture sets we have in acnh), but i’ll finish working on cleaning up my island from the influx of flowers last few days because it’s been raining nonstop (almost) in the game.

in the middle of running around kemeroot, i spotted these two chilling at the plaza, and it’s just so precious (TvT )

i was hoping to save a lot for arlecchino’s banner knowing how botched my luck has been in genshin gacha since fontaine opened but my mind just couldn’t stop thinking about chiori and how much i really saved up for her (before knowing that arle will arrive at 4.5 okay!!) and how much i want to have her because of her dolls so i decided to check my limited banner history and pulled a 10-pull on a whim and oH MY GOD??!!!!?

BBG ACTUALLY CAME HOME WHEN I LEAST EXPECTED TO WIN MY 50/50 ₊*ˈ˚·(๑˃̶̡̢̥ ॣಐ ॣ˂̶̡̢̥๑)·˚ˈ*₊

i didn’t expect i’ll actually have it that easy (?) since i got nahida from the last banner (nahida was guaranteed because i lost my 50/50 pulling for navia) BUT SHE’S FINALLY HOME!! ₊*ˈ˚·(๑˃̶̡̢̥ ॣಐ ॣ˂̶̡̢̥๑)·˚ˈ*₊ the last time i was this lucky with my pulls was on ayato’s, yelan’s, cyno’s, and alhaitham’s first banners. after that everything just went downhill, i guess (except the guaranteed ones ofc).

her team animation is also so cool, too! (๑ↀᆺↀ๑)✧ so sleek!

now that i have chiori, my art department is complete (freminet is their youngest member). no elemental reactions, only art ¡¡¡( •̀ ᴗ •́ )و!!! i also realized that all of them are sword users (claymores are swords, after all?) so exploration-wise, this team’s also bad, but i can always work around that for the love of my weird team comps (4ggravate is probably the least weirdest of them all).

i’ve yet to level her up more and build her more because i need some fodder to feed the artifacts i have for her and more adventure books, too, as i’ve spent them a lot recently on nahida and layla (for my shatterbloom team, ofc. anything for kaveh, my love and my light) before i send her to battle, ofc. her split scaling still confuses me, but i’ll learn it well eventually, ofc. it’s too bad that the only weapon i have suitable for her because of it’s defense substat is the traveler’s handy sword. it’s also somehwat fashion impact (i credit jeikage for that one) on her, thankfully.

oh, and besides getting chiori in her banner, i also managed to pull my favourite husband in a single pull while trying to get her (TvT \)

my kaveh is now C1, and though it’s not impressive for all, it’s alright because all i want as a casual genshin enjoyer is to complete my favourite husbands’ constellations (for the four stars ofc, like kaveh and thoma) unless they’re five stars because that’s too pricey already (T^T \)

now i can proceed with the character story quests i’ve left since the highly emotional 4.2 archon quest! wuw.

there's a sudden urge in me to rewrite my kaveh x sort of self-insert fanfic at this ungodly hour. what is this behaviour.

sumeru will forever be my favourite region (even if the desert exploration was painful), but fontaine has been feeding us well in terms of life truths.

i really like how chevreuse acknowledged people’s opinions on what justice is and should be, then proceeded to put into perspective how justice isn’t always black and white as most people (myself included) thought it to be. this is exchange between veronique and her is probably one of my favourite dialogues in this game so far.

the characters selected in this event event still seemed random to me, but i don’t mind. i still enjoyed the story (and the ayato-chiori banter i didn’t see coming).

sometimes being a rareshipper can be pretty lonely, but also motivational just so u can scratch that rarepair itch for yourself and in the hopes of finding a fellow rarepair shipper.

anyway, here's a wip of said rareship with the photo reference of the pose. i realized while i may have been drawing for so long now, i need a lot of practice when it comes to drawing people interacting with each other.

once again i changed the tumblr names of my main tumblr and my sideblog, and i have come to accept that i may have username commitment issues.

writing this under a cut because i might spoil it for those who haven’t finished the genshin summer event main story.

this whole limited story quest was a riot, and i find it so endearing (nerdy kind of endearing) that kaveh annotates when he reads even if it’s only for leisure (and i say i’m endeared because i do that sometimes, too, when something in the story or the page resonated with me greatly).

of course i like this quest a lot because once again, my best husband is the highlight of the story hihihi (ृ ´͈ ᵕ `͈ ृ )ु kaveh was my favourite in the quest, but my favourite scene in the entire side event is this:

oh, in spite of how i've been feeling and thinking recently, i am actually grateful for may.

last month, i made my resignation at wok official and this month will be my last month with them. my reasons include both personal and career-related ones, though the personal ones weigh so much more. it feels freeing, though quite emotional having to leave people i've made friends with at work, and my students, too. i don't think i'll ever be "good with goodbyes". ( • ᴖ • ｡ )

i'm also grateful for getting the chance to watch one of my favourite japanese bands perform live at the start of the month! radwimps just left the country a few days ago, and i'm still on a high thinking about the concert, rewatching the short clips i managed to record while immersing myself to their songs, and playing their asia setlist on repeat in spotify. i remember writing it on my original bucket list that i wanted to see one of my favourite japanese bands in a concert so for it to actually happen feels awesome! ＼＼\(۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶//／／
