I'm so bad at keeping things to myself, but since I won't be dropping the first chapters of Marauders: The untold story for, at least, one more week, I'll tell you what ships will be appearing:

Blackinnon, of course, and although they are the main couple that keeps the story moving, since it's told in an interview format, I would say that the other pairings aren't exactly just in the background 'cause, in a way, even Blackinnon its part of the background.

This story it told through remembrance, so... everyone gets to tell their story.

So the other and equally important pairings are: Jily, Gilderat, Emmary and... I would like to say Remus x Dorcas but it's not exactly just the two of them, you can let your imagination run wild with that one cause, after all, it's set on a rockstar kinda scene, lots of things going on at the same time.

So yeah, that's it.

day 1 - "why are you here" “came to make sure you’re okay” - blackinnon - @blackinnonfest

“What are you doing here, McKinnon?” asked Sirius, sitting on the front porch.

“Making sure you’re alright, I guess” replied Marlene.

“Funny, coming from the girl who just hexed me a few minutes ago” replied Sirius, bitterly.

“You were being a jerk back there.”

Marlene was starting to regret coming after him, there was a reason she had been keeping her distance, after all.

“According to most people I’m always a jerk.”

He was being difficult, Marlene knew. Though probably it was her presence that was making things worse, she couldn’t be sure. A lot had happened lately, not only between the two, but with the war as well.

“I’m not most people, though, am I?” she tried, finally dropping down to sit next to him on the stairs.

Marlene looked up, trying to avoid Sirius’ stare.

It was a clear night and she could almost see the faint outline of the galaxy behind the stars.

“No” he answered, keeping his eyes fixed on her. “You most certainly are not”.

i like the idea of knights watch/wilding but i fear i would make marlene too much like ygritte and no, we already knows how that one ends (🥲)

so… this is during the time where the starks are the kings of the north. orion is the hand of the king. he and his family don’t approve of the idea of bending the knee to the targaryen. i don’t know if there are direwolfs in this era, but even if there aren’t and they have zero defenses against dragons, the blacks are set to keep the north an independent kingdom.

sirius as the oldest son is meant to be lord of his house but, until he comes of age, he’s the squire of the king or whatever they call the position where he’s supposed to learn from under the wing of an important person 😂 haven’t read the books in a while and i even forget the right words in spanish so, anyway…

james is possibly the older son to the king (i can’t picture sirius without him). sirius is obviously living in the castle along side his dad and the stark/potter family.

marlene however… is the daughter of the inn keeper. the inn where all the major lords and people from the south come and stay when they can’t be in the castle.

she has always wanted to learn how to ride like a boy and duel and fight with swords, very much like arya. but she can’t exactly ride the few horses his father has because they’re not train for that or they are too old.

marlene is often working in the tavern and that’s how she meet sirius.

maybe he catches her trying to “steal” a sword or playing pretend, something like that when they are young and sirius would never admit it, but she’s the reason he keeps coming back even though he has full warm meals in the castle. he brings james from time to time.

now that’s all i have so far.

obviously whatever they have could never become something because of their situation, but in this scenario neither of them are content with their respective situation and most likely will take matters into their own hands.

Canon sirius wins the idgf game every time omg. Bro does not care. His best friend is in love with someone? "U re not getting the girl with ur personality, James." Peter admiring James. "Peter, u will wet yourself." His other best friend is a werewolf who suffers every full moon. "Damn, I wish it was a full moon." A student starts to ask questions about their secret. "I'm just killing him, whatever."

I just know he made everyone he knows at least cry once, and it wasn’t even on purpose. He's just made like that, and he doesn't even care if u don't tolerate him.

i don’t trust ai because arthur weasley told me to never trust anything that can think for itself if you can’t see where it keeps its brain

it hits me right in the angst cause i know he couldn’t save her and they never made it.

this whole song it’s giving me so much vibes of what i envision for marlene and sirius in my marauders band au i’m dying.

just imagine marlene being discovered as a model at age fifteen, having lived all over the world on her own at such a young age, sharing places with other models as young as her while the older ones teach them all about alcohol and drugs and other vices of the industry.

her meeting/reconnecting (not quite sure yet) with sirius black, a year older than him, who has a band that is fairly known in his town.

marlene having all the right connections.

falling harder and harder with this boy. this boy who’s life might just happened to align with hers.

them working hard so they could one day reach a happy ending that never came.

just rambling at this point but ughhh this song it’s doing it for me.

i think walburga and orion were more than content leaving cygnuss up to the task of carrying on the family name, but then he started to have only daughters and they went “oh shit”
