this is so ronks coded. what if I throw up.
A quiet moment alone.
They are entirely too hot and too rich for me.
No new work :) catch old drawings
propaganda i AM falling for:
multishipping
james potter (lead guitarist and vocals): if i had to pinpoint the moment it all started to get derailed, i would say it was the moment regulus died.
remus lupin (bassist): she [marlene] flew all the way to where we were just to tell him. his brother had been dead for a week. no one in his family had reached out.
peter pettigrew (drummer): lost a major gig for her agency. she didnât care. it was her way.
james: it was all so fucked up. that same night after our concert we got introduced to the prewet brothers who then got us our first record deal a week later.
remus: he was in flames. iâve never seen him perform like that.
james: something change that night.
peter: it worked though. got us where we wanted.
okay, hear me outâŚ
a story written in interview format where famous rock band âmaraudersâ explain once and for all why they broke up back in 1981 following the dead of, according to the media at the time, a random groupie.
james, remus and peter have all lost contact with lead singer sirius black.
where is he now?
is he still alive?
and who was the groupie and why did it matter so much as to mark the end of such a promising band?
marlene mckinnonâs name will haunt the narrative much as she did when she was alive.
(i blame daisy jones and the six for this and damiano david cover of âella baila solaâ cause donât tell that isnât sirius singing about marlene)

just imagining durmstrang!sirius and slytherin!marlene dueling after he finds out sheâs responsible for his brotherâs death and marlene thinking he is a fully turned death eather uffâŚ
them thinking they dueling but actually they taking their grief out on each other? đŽâđ¨
Remus: I understand when people called James arrogant. It wasnât really his fault being conceited. Only child, loving parents, a comfortable economic situation, who wouldnât come out into the world thinking they deserve everything good in life? But as egotistical as he could be, he was also caring and kind-hearted. Yes, Iâm aware of how he and Sirius treated other people, especially when they were younger, but itâs not like they were mistreating someone vulnerable, they were messing with a bunch of other self-important, full of themselves, snooty kids. And they did change their ways in the end. Well, somewhat. You couldnât be expected to make it into the music industry, especially during the seventies, and not be a little ruthless. So yeah, James approached my concerns tactfully. He didn't want me to feel different, though we were, and by the end I didnât even realize I was accepting his help. When we finally ended playing at their dance, I was wearing one of Jamesâ old suits. James: From that moment on, we became insufferable. In mine and Sirius' case, even more so than usual. But seeing Remus and Peter starting to believe in the band too, was amazing. We couldnât shut up about it. Every weekend from then on we fought over whoâs idea to give a try first, we were all so inspired. At some point Hope lent us her record player. We took turns picking songs from Siriusâ collection and then tried them out on our instruments. Remus: We started changing the lyrics to the covers we played, then slowly one of us would change a chord or a beat, and then suddenly we were writing our first songs, not just obscene tunes anymore (stops, then laughs). A few of our songs turned out to be quite obscene, but you know what I meant, we didnât feel like kids doing it anymore.Â

padfoot, sirius
some blackinnon headcanons
- they donât use terms of endearment on each other. i believe sirius use them in a sardonic way, like if he calls you âdarlingâ you are in trouble for sure. for marls, sheâs the type to call little kids âsweetheartâ when they come up to her with their troubles.
- sirius call her mckinnon most of the time in front of others o public situations and marlene/marls in private o delicate situations. for marlene is sirius most of the time, unless sheâs trying to make a point, then she calls him black.
- marlene is not as confident as sirius but knows how to play at her strengths. quidditch itâs a big thing for her during school, but later on itâs also incantations so she is very good at certain types of magic. sheâs particularly good at conjuring shielding charms. i like to think of it as a projection of her own heart.
- that last one also plays a part when sirius thinks of her after finding out she died. he canât help but think if it were any other curse but the killing one, she mightâve survived.
- in general, marls has a bit of trouble with defense magic. she can protect and deflect easily, but attacks are more difficult for her. itâs not until sheâs confronted with DE attacking people in front of her that she gets better at it. sheâs better at doing things for others than herself in that sense (then again, marlene mightâve died protecting her parents or brothers).
- sirius is good at everything as we know, heâs annoying like that.
- marlene is really tall for a girl, almost the same height as most boys which is annoying cause she likes taller guys. enters: sirius black, annoyingly tall for everyone except for marlene.
- marlene doesnât looks like it, but sirius is often times amaze at how strong she is. she doesnât hold back either, how else could she be a good beater otherwise? also, has impecable aim.
- marlene gets better at healing charms, potentially even considering becoming a healer. not because she wants to, but because someone has to. it also has to do with the fact that sirius doesnât particularly care for his own injuries, doesnât seem to grasp the concept of being unable to defend anyone properly unless heâs in top shape. honestly marls doesnât care either, so sirius has to learn a few charms to heal her too in the end. itâs the only way they allow for it to happen, by way of taking care of each other.
- sirius was the first to realize they were something worthwhile. heâs not really the type of guy to pour his heart out, but at some point he does âcause his running out of ways of showing marlene heâs not going anywhere. probably the most frightening thing he ever did in that regard.
- marlene is not exactly the prettiest girl in school, but sheâs the type of girl annoyingly label as âone of the guysâ except said guys actually wants to go out with her. itâs more her vibe than anything else.
- visually they are the complete opposite: dark/light hair/eyes, sharp/soft features (i have a whole stupid canon of the blacks actually being black that could also work here, but iâll keep it that way for now) also marlene hair is long when sirius is short and vice verse.
- marls doesnât like to read much and sirius doesnât nap often, but on the rare occasions that happens, sirius lays on her chest and marls read above his head.
- they both get kinda lost without a sense of purpose so whenever they feel the other may be as risk of spiraling, they come up with crazy plans or invent something they need the help of the other. they know is a lie, but play along anyway. it helps.
