Chapters 193-423: This is where it gets kinda confusing- I know theres a bunch of random people translating from this point but the quality for translations is completely random So! This show is so random because it starts with ‘yay forest survival wohoo’ and then turns to ‘mental asylum ahh and also trafficking humans for their blood’ and then it’s ‘artificial intelligence is god or something and she’s doomed us all’ and season four was just politics or something idk I wasn’t paying attention and now we get to WORMS!? And you’re telling me that it isn’t enough that they exist in a part of the desert, they’re also BEING BRED!?!????!??!!!! Also there was an underground fighting ring and that was pretty fun. Did we really have to go to worms though?

Oh and my boy Monty spits some more knowledge and we love him for that.

Definitely okay! Yes, characters should obviously still have flaws but 1: The things mentioned don't really contribute to the story or teach a lesson, 2: The characters mentioned will still be themselves and not a hollowed out version of themselves, one strange flaw like that does not change their personality or really how we view them, and 3, probably most importantly: It's your own work of fanfiction! You have the right to change characters as you please, even if it could be seen as a downgrade, or watering them down, or even just making them too good compared to their original. That's what fanfictions are for; doing what you want to do.

Danganronpa community I would like your input!!

Is it a bad thing to redesign / rewrite these characters to be potentially less egregious (e.g., writing Kiyo’s sister as a hallucination rather than a split considering it wasn’t handled well, or making Teruteru NOT dr!g people, making Hifumi NOT a l0l1con)? I have thoughts about all this but I don’t know if it would be considered rude or “watering things down”.
