The Ishkia gave a quick nod once she was given instruction. “Got it, I can do that.” Once the bag was freed from his shoulders she gingerly grabbed it, bringing it closer as she pulled open the flap on top.

It would take her a bit to find what she was told. Not because of Myra being clueless of what to look for. More so because she wasn't flat out digging for it, instead moving things around inside the bag to make room to look further in.

Thankfully it wasn't too hard to find the much larger shirt, plucking it out of the bag's confines and making relatively quick work of the buttons. Ha, they were still flower shaped.

Once the shirt was opened and ready, she turned to face Fidelio. And she froze, but only for a moment.

She had seen injuries before, and scars, many times. Being a healer meant having to. But she didn't expect to see so many on him...She didn't dare ask right now, it wasn't a good time.

And that one on his chest, which pulled her gaze in like a magnet…While she wasn't the one to make it, that scar and any pain he felt during the healing process- or any he felt now by the look of it- that was her's. A stinging reminder that, even though she did bring him back…She caused a lot of pain, simply because she was a coward.

Now wasn't the time for that. She ripped her eyes away, bringing them to look at his own as she tried to keep focused. Her hands darting out to float close by as he stood up, just in case. And only once he was fully up did she do the same, using her leg as a brace. “O-Okay, no problem.. I'm ready.”

Well he wasn't wrong. Even though Myra couldn't vocally deny his logic, she kept shambling forth with a frustrated grumble. To her, it was a ‘damned if you, damned if you don't' situation. Cursed to draw attention and run risks no matter how she did it. Every option coming up a dead end.

Though it didn't help that she couldn't think straight either. Her exhausted mind simply dead set on getting him somewhere safe, no matter what became of her. 

 But upon the Paripus speaking again, her gaze did shift from the trek ahead to him. Her head tilted slightly as she listened to the new course of action. “I see..” 

She hadn’t even thought about the idea of leaving when Lord Louis was thought dead… Though Myra didn’t blame the two for preparing to get out of there after that. It would’ve felt hollow on the Charadrius without them, but they’d have been better off elsewhere.

...No wonder their room felt emptier.

Her eyes flicked to his bag, then to his body as she forced her brain to think it over. It was a compromise; keeping him discreet, while keeping her from having to ditch him for the night. He was right, too, and he’d be more recognized than her anyhow. 

Finally her march forward stopped, and she nodded. “Okay…Let’s do it.”

She knew trying to do all of that while holding him would be a nightmare. So she slowly, and as carefully as she could, dropped back to the ground in a one-knee kneel. Setting him down shortly after to let him rest against a tree. Then she blinked at him, hands hovering. “Um…How much am I allowed to do?” Despite the circumstances, she didn’t want to reach where she shouldn’t, be it his shirt or anything else.

b.. basilio.. . .

There was a small giggle in light of the Paripus’ long winded sigh of acceptance. She couldn’t help it.

“Thank you.” Myra said with a soft smile, though another giggle nearly slipped past her defenses. “And I won’t send you to bed unless it’s absolutely necessary, I promise.” She placed a hand over her heart, as if it were some Healer’s honor. “If you’ve gotten proper care, then this shouldn’t be more than a couple minutes, I’m sure.”

Next was to answer the question of where to do this inspection. "Um..." And with that came a pause, as she mulled over the options.  There weren’t too many places without eyes on the skyrunner, and getting the soldiers to leave a room would be more hassle than it’s worth. She’d have an easier time wrestling a Kokasados. 

The Ishkia debated on moving to the medical room, but…There likely were other people in there, too. Ugh, they’re everywhere..

Lifting a hand up to rub the back of her neck, Myra let out a sigh of her own. “If you want the least amount of eyes…One of our quarters would be the safest bet.” She suggested with a slight awkwardness to her tone. So long as no one sees them, it should be fine..! No possible rumors, surely.

A long sigh escaped the paripus upon realizing this was a battle he wasn't going to win. Even if he did get past her now, she knew where his quarters were, and would likely be able to sway Basilio onto her side.

In hindsight, Fidelio should have figured word of his injury would reach her with the brothers' return to the Charidus. Though that also likely meant the rest of the ship's inhabitants also had gotten word. Great.

Yes it's true! I ultimately decided I wanted to play the Yakuza games for my friends and any passerby to watch. So I dug my Twitch account out of the dirt and dusted it off to use!

On Saturdays and Sundays, at 6 P.M EST (so long as I am not busy or forgetful- I can assure you the latter will happen at LEAST once), I will be going through every Yakuza game I own (This includes 0, Kiwami 1 and 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Like a Dragon, Ishin, Man Who Erased His Name, Judgement, Lost Judgement, and Infinite Wealth). All on HARD MODE.

Why? Why not!

I ALSO plan on playing Pirates in Hawaii as soon as I physically can, when it releases.

People love to pretend Ai is a neutral ground when it comes to art. "Ewwww! Artists cost money! We don't have the ability to pay them, so we'll just generate it!" I'm not afraid of saying any human art is better than any ai generated image because it has soul! Had this exchange blurred his name because even if he was a dick and kept calling me kiddo (reddit behavior) I am not after his head.

He wants to white knight for ai so whatever at the end of the day. He's just a fool who doesn't know what it means to be an artist, but this entire kicking up of sand got the creator to make a pinned comment here:

Seriously, I know art isn't easy, but giving up and just generating it is quitting. The towel is thrown in before the game starts.

An artist friend told me that in order to get better, you have to try. Pick up a pencil, a stylist, anything! You can do it if you put your mind to it, and while I'm still not where I wanna be, I encourage everyone to try.

I've never wanted to draw out of pettiness before, but I'm not going to draw it because artists aren't free, and they shouldn't need to be for people to consider commissioning them

Hi! I just wanted to say I really really love your style, it's so pleasant to look at,, And oh my gosh your expressions and lines are so good!! I love how you draw everyone,, I also have to admit that your casual outfit for Odile has captured my heart entirely, you draw her so pretty,,, I'm sorry if this is worded strange or anything; trying to translate my excited little keyboard smashes into words is hard sometimes,,

So, I was allowed to add the ISAT cast into my friend's D&D campaign (I'm assisting her, like a co-DM). And originally I was going to just use their sprites from the game...But then I thought "But wait, what if they have to be in color?"

So I had an excuse to learn how to draw them all! Here's the monochrome versions first (Yes Bonnie is a part of the team too, I just haven't drawn them yet!):

Now, I tried to make sure everyone had a distinct color on them (Purple on Mirabelle, red on Isabeau, yellow on Siffrin, and blue on Odile) So hopefully it looks okay!

I'd love to ramble on about the races I chose for them, what classes and so on, but that might clog the post so I'll refrain!

oh siffrin instarsandtime, your illness captivates me so

(ACT 4 SPOILERS) Decided to be silly and wanted to post some sprite/ portrait Mirabelle redraws that I did for the ICAC Au!! Under the cut will be artists notes and the Speedpaint process:

GENERAL ARTISTS NOTES:

I wanted to capture the vibes of the original Mirabelle attack sprite that’s in game, but also add my own twist on it rather than just copy the exact pose verbatim. Since the original pose that the sprite is based off in game is paper/ healing I wanted it to have a sense of seriousness to it

I changed the craft sign with the hands to be both paper and scissors, since she’s a dual type and I think that the vibes of “just attack” in the original game is to go all out and not hold back. Whatever is the most efficient and quickest way to brutally take out your enemy.

This is also why the the sparkles and effects around Mira is different: She’s using both paper and scissors so she’d have the FX for both in her attack portrait.

I changed the expression to look more serious (shadowed face, the circles within circle eyes is a reference to the fact her eyes go in a spiral when she defeats the king in the canon game of ISAT.

For anyone new to the Au and didn’t catch the design details beforehand: in the ICAC au Mirabelle was the one to lose the eye protecting Bonnie from the sadness instead of Siffrin! She has a eyepatch made by Isabeau and it has the change symbol on it. Her hair usually covers the blind eye in most sprites barring few exceptions ( certain parts of act 4, Act 5 and act 6 etc.)

She also has a sharper/ pointier bow in comparison to canon isat Mirabelle. This is mainly because I noticed the pixel sprites for Mirabelle the bow looks very sharp and pointy in isat but the sprites themselves are rounded, so I thought it would be neat to play with the shape language of the design and make the bow sharper in the portraits as well

So I was listening to a song called Lagtrain by Inabakumori yesterday (It's a wonderful song, you can listen to it here) And I hyper focused on one of the frames and went "Huh...Y'know I could see Siffrin here." And then, well, I tried to draw it! Here's the frame specifically:

And here's the piece I made from it (Spoiler warning, just in case!):

Featuring (from right to left) Siffrin, Loop, Mal Du Pays, and what is supposed to be Ghost Siffrin! I figured I could spin the original frame into the different versions of Siffrin, since there's only really four I could recall from the game! (I know the arms are a little funky, but I tried,,)
