So I was originally gonna draw big naturals Tecciztecatl as a joke but I just ended drawing fem Metztli minus her rabbit scar because I was lazy

Plus all the refs I used because my canvas is always cluttered

this has to be the stupidest thing i ever made.

(i know i used pictures of them in their respective movies but im referring to how they act in the books, just to be clear)

Sometimes I feel like the entire aztec pantheon is this at least a little bit

I like how itztlacoliuhqui because In some myths he's a representation of the morning star, an avatar of the feathered serpent, or Quetzalcoatl but when he got shot by the arrow he descended to the underworld and became the twisted obsidian blade, or almost like an avatar of Tezcatlipoca....... So it's really cool how these gods just kinda mesh together

Yeah it's insane how every time I do research on him I find a new deity who is also at least partially Tezcatlipoca. Even he and Quetzalcoatl have been called the same titles.

I'm still not sure about the thing on his head... Should it be more human? More a deity and floating? Of all the ideas I had, the fourth one liked me most but honestly I accept suggestions

i tried animating (kinda??) nana and tecciz in capcut and it got SO. LAGGY. I COULD COUNT THE FRAMES I FELT LIKE MY PHONE WAS ABOUT TO STOP WORKING ALTOGETHER and its too laggy to make anything better than this i fear but i had fun... (i think)

oh well. practice makes perfect, and i wanted to practice. im only posting this bc i havent rly posted much abt aztec gods in a while and its not too embarrassing (i think)
