For some reason listening to riize helped me finish reading the last 40 pages of my book
I thought I had prepared myself to see this season without Checo, but honestly, after seeing the tests yesterday, it felt... like something was missing. The light was gone (and I don't mean when the blackout happened), something is not right. I know I'm used to see Checo every year since 2012, and maybe I'm just a delusional fan, but there's no spark this season, at least for me.
It didn't help that everyone kept saying his name over and over, and Marko went and made another statement comparing him with Liam (although in the old man's defense, the reporter was the one asking about Checo)... I think it's going to be hard getting used to not seeing 'PER' in the board and his confused faces.
wishing them a good break and that they’re given the respect that they’re owed by their teams ❤️🩹
AS MAX VERSTAPPEN GOES FROM SEVENTEEN TO THE LEAD
this is our reminder that ultimately F1 never wants to see POC drivers succeed on their precious european sport
at this rate this 57 lap race is going to have 57 safety cars wtf
Just took a break from doing homework and decided to go online and the first thing I see is an sm announcement of Taeil getting kicked out and the reason is so... idk how to put it in words on how I feel cause it's insane. But it is a reminder that you do not know how someone really is and what they could possibly do
I also just have to say that I know people are worried for Jack Doohan about his seat (and they have a right to!) but I hope this doesn’t come with more hatred for Franco and his fans. People can talk about how much Alpine sucks without dragging Franco about it.
people were so terrible about Franco after he replaced Logan and acting like him and his fans were the problem instead of Williams Racing. And its not a stretch at all to say people were being weirdly aggressive and mean towards them because franco’s fans are mostly latine.
“Oh people only notice or care about how awfully Williams treats its drivers now that it’s Franco 😒—“ I don’t understand, more people were noticing and talking about Williams driver mistreatment BECAUSE with Franco came a new and larger audience who was helping vocalize the issues within F1 fan spaces. Why are you complaining and calling us the problem?
I’m worried the same convos will come up this season with Alpine. Franco is a delight who is respectful to all the drivers unlike other rookies while also fighting properly for his ambition within the sport. And us fans are there to support that too! Discuss awful F1 business practices without being weird and critical towards minorities.
I'm tired so it's time for: conspiracy theories!
So in the last race of the season both Yuki and Sergio had issues with the clutch right?
Now let's look at this in my (not supported by on anything) way: Yuki, who was doing great most of the season but was always out of the talks about RBR second seat had the last chance (in this year) to impress and show his skills and what prevented that? Problem with the car he couldn't control. It seems suspicious after Helmut calling him 'not ready' to drive in RBR, because he is most certainly more ready than a rookie with attitude issues. And then there is Sergio - the speculations are still running high but let's say he had a chance this last races to show that he was getting up from the slump. And what happened? Both times he had a decent quali and then his car gave up on him, losing drive after there was something wrong with the clutch. They both had the last race to show something and both had similiar issues. It's a bit fishy after how Helmut stressed the 'we are based on performance' narrative those past two weeks.
george should get pregnant too, i mean if he really wants to win the fight
You know what pisses me off? People acting so surprised when they see RBR had the most 1-2 podiums from all the teams (3 in total), saying 'Pérez was on podium?' or 'Pérez actually got a P2?'
UGH! He started the season slaying! He got 3 P2 and a P3 afterwards. Then P4 in Miami, and then RBR downfall started. 2024 IS NOT CHECO'S ENTIRE CAREER! But the media and the team made him look like he was such a bad driver, that people is surprised he got podiums in the season.
The same when they say Hulk hasn't had any podiums so far, 'when even Pérez managed to do so'... Nico is a great driver, BUT SO IS CHECO! When they were teammates, the fight was really close, but I admit Nico has the WORST luck ever! He totally deserves podiums, but that doesn't mean that Checo is a bad driver, where does people get this idea? oh, yes, from RBR, they forget Checo has a career of 14 years in F1!
And the fact that he's not in F1 anymore (at least so far) and they keep talking about him... ugh, I thought we were going to have a break from this.
I need Checo news soon or I'll go crazy fighting with anonymous people to defend pookie's honor.
