I thought I had prepared myself to see this season without Checo, but honestly, after seeing the tests yesterday, it felt... like something was missing. The light was gone (and I don't mean when the blackout happened), something is not right. I know I'm used to see Checo every year since 2012, and maybe I'm just a delusional fan, but there's no spark this season, at least for me.
It didn't help that everyone kept saying his name over and over, and Marko went and made another statement comparing him with Liam (although in the old man's defense, the reporter was the one asking about Checo)... I think it's going to be hard getting used to not seeing 'PER' in the board and his confused faces.
AS MAX VERSTAPPEN GOES FROM SEVENTEEN TO THE LEAD
another one, thank you.
Doing homework last minute since one of my teachers thought it would be a great idea to make homework due the same day we return from break
I don’t think we as a society properly appreciate how fucking insane “Maybe God is with him, but he is not God” hits.
That’s some Shakespeare level shit. That belongs in the Godfather. And Max Verstappen just dropped that about Lewis Hamilton. Fucking insane.
george get out of the way i need albodium to happen so bad
So. Its a wet race, 5 rookies on the grid, Max and George lining up alongside eachother on the second row, two McLaren's on the front row and Oscar says he'd do anything to win his home race- if you listen really closely you can hear an emergency alarm blaring in the background of this post
In the build up towards season 7 of Drive to Survive coming out please remember the poor Red Bull employee who was sexually harassed by Christian Horner, lost her job, was doxxed, and still hasn’t got justice for what happened to her. From what we see in the trailer it seems like Netflix is just going to let Horner say what he wants and continue doing fluff shots with him and Geri like nothing has happened. Wherever the victim is, I hope she’s healthy and doing ok.
THEY KEEP BOOING CHRISTIAN I LOVE IT
It's funny how people think Checo fans are going to stop supporting him over this. I genuinely laugh at it. Let's make it clear; no one is going to switch or stop supporting him over not doing well. That shit is for the WEAK. We will continue supporting him no matter what. That's being LOYAL.
And people can throw hate on us all they want. It won't do anything.
Siempre con nuestro Chequito, putos!
I think now is a really good time to see who was paying attention to the racism that was always happening within Red Bull Racing, and why its vitally important now more than ever to keep paying attention to how People of Color within RBR are treated compared to white drivers. What a lot of people fail to realize is that how Checo was treated directly impacts how Yuki was/is treated, and the specific way that Checo was pushed out of RB makes me very scared for Yuki and Isack in the coming seasons.
With Honda's RB contract ending after the next season and Horner saying it's time to give up Yuki after 2025, they might feel free to make his last year a living hell and wrongly blame as many problems as they can on Yuki like they did with Checo. And with Isack, if he doesn't live up to their expectations instantaneously they might chew him up and kick him to the curb like they did with Alex.
Pay attention, think critically about the agendas that european press and redbull will be pushing, loudly advocate for the protection and fair treatment that drivers of color deserve!
