They are FAMILY.
Look how many people hate him. I’m pretty damn happy about that 😁😁😁😁😁😁
I thought I had prepared myself to see this season without Checo, but honestly, after seeing the tests yesterday, it felt... like something was missing. The light was gone (and I don't mean when the blackout happened), something is not right. I know I'm used to see Checo every year since 2012, and maybe I'm just a delusional fan, but there's no spark this season, at least for me.
It didn't help that everyone kept saying his name over and over, and Marko went and made another statement comparing him with Liam (although in the old man's defense, the reporter was the one asking about Checo)... I think it's going to be hard getting used to not seeing 'PER' in the board and his confused faces.
Crash:-
Checo’s fault
OR
Carlos’ fault
OR
Racing incident
Racing incident.
Carlos’s onboard shows his wheel straight, I don’t see him moving to block Checo.
Checo maybe could have taken avoiding action because there was space for him to move left, he was in the middle of the track. But it also didn’t seem like they were going to make contact until it already happened. Carlos maybe should have been more aware because he knew Checo was close. but it was front wheel and back wheel, they locked into each other like puzzle pieces, I don’t think Carlos saw it coming till it happened.
I think it’s maybe 60/40 on Checo just because he could see where Carlos was but at the same time, the track is so tight there’s not much space to play with and he might not have felt he could avoid at that speed without sending himself into the wall, and of course he doesn’t want to concede the position.
Unfortunate but I really don’t enjoy apportioning blame every time there’s a crash because it’s already so risky and difficult to overtake on street tracks, if they keep penalising these things that are really not even intentional moves, wheel to wheel racing won’t even be worth it to teams.
these are the funniest radios in the world his engineer is so done with his one-sided beefs 💀
Idk who my riize bias is cause I'm trying to stay loyal to sungchan and shotaro but the other members
at this rate this 57 lap race is going to have 57 safety cars wtf
Today was the first day of school and I already have a quiz Friday. I hate ap classes
Checo and Yuki's dynamic between each other and their place within the team as a whole was designed in a lab to target and torture me specifically on a mental, physical and spiritual level. A Mexican driver and a Japanese driver, who genuinely cared about each other and understood each other's struggles BECAUSE of their background and the way they were treated by their teams and the sport itself. I feel genuine heartache for both of them because they meant something so deeply personal to me and their evil teams took it away.
even when everyone continually refuses to understand them as people because they keep wanting to project their stereotypes onto them, Checo supported Yuki and checked in on him on bad race weekends because he understands. And Yuki so clearly appreciated that care and the fact that Checo always vocally celebrated his talent and advocated for his success.
They were such an example of two people who not only understood the same struggles they endure in this field but also the deep importance of their culture and what it means to represent your people, how having other POC to support and care about you in a white-dominated field can mean the world in such a special way. then the systemic racism of the sport pushed out Checo and didn't give Yuki what he deserved.
Planet f1.com have just absolutely dropped the mic here:
The RB20 is trash, both of them have complained about that, and Red Bull only fixes Max car, which is understandable because he's their number one driver, but Red Bull could be first in the WCC if they fixed both cars, not treat Checo like a lab rat
So think of that before insulting Checo, because we all know what he's capable of
DE LA CHECONETA NADIE SE BAJA, Y SI LO HACEMOS ES PARA EMPUJARLA
