the scene where sawyer says "i killed them, didn't i?" after sayid, sun, and jin are lost on the sub is sooooo fucking important. especially because he says it to JACK, of all people. jack who, at the beginning of the season, made an eerily similar call to sawyer. he made an executive decision to ACTIVATE a bomb (against sawyer's wishes) because he believed it would save them. in the process, juliet was killed. sawyer made an executive decision to NEUTRALIZE a bomb (against jack's wishes) because he believed it would save them. in the process, the kwons and sayid were killed. for jack to respond with "no, he killed them" is similarly important. it helps sawyer process both his guilt and his grief. he is no more to blame for the death of his friends than jack is for juliet's death. it unites them against their common enemy and once and for all places them on each other's side.

I had this in my drafts for quite some time now, it's from last year when I did a big rewatch of LOST (best tv show ngl) and I drew this idea from season 1 or so 😂😭

I fucking love Lost. For a show that's all about black vs white symbolism, good vs evil morals, light vs dark attitude there's not one (1) single character that perfectly fits into any of those dichotomies.

im actualy at the verge of tears bc i realised that kelvin was sitting in the bunker for 12 years. twelve fucking years. and many years he was sitting alone after radzinsky's suicide. i mean we saw desmond going completely insane and wanting to kill himself on like. day 40 without kelvin. and kelvin was alone for several years, he was sleep deprivated and going crazy. and in nutshell it was 12 years. its more than any of main characters were on the island. the whole struggle with pushing the button that happened to desmond locke jack and ekko is so miserable compared to kelvin and what he had to deal with. he just wanted to leave when he saw desmonds boat he just wanted to leave after 12 years on this god forsaken island im crying. he was right when he didnt let desmond out, he just wanted to protect him bc he knows how it is out there. he knows the purge he knows the hostiles, he and radzinsky probably build that surveillance mirror system in the swan, broke the ladder and sealed the hatch. godddddd

someone should write a crossover fanfic where the characters from lost find that cave from "h2o - just add water" and turn into mermaids

Like, for maximum enjoyment (i.e. depression) you need to take both into account: Daniel's not a tragic hero without the tragic story of his mother Eloise. Eloise's story is not tragic without the tragedy that Daniel's life is. Her destiny is KNOWING that she will/has kill(ed) her own son WITHOUT knowing it, his destiny is thinking he can change his destiny and, in so doing, he enacts his own destiny.

s3 is such an interesting case study of Questionable Darius Writing to me. like, he's more involved in the main plot than he was in s2 so at least he's doing something. but i spent the first half of the season just going "he would not fucking say that" and the second half wishing he'd have stronger feelings about anything that was going on

desmonds boyfriend powers are so off the charts. he's obviously the boyfriend of all time to penny. but also jack is his boyfriend that he would find in any life. he crossed time and space to find faraday, enough that faraday made him his constant. he boyfriended charlie so hard that he watched him die (after saving him a million times). and desmond x sayid are literally boyfriends that went on a cruise together. desmond crawled out of that hatch and made every man in a ten mile radius his bitch
