dc comics dc people shouldn’t be obligated or judged for deciding not to read the comics no one should have jurisdiction over how people enjoy their free time or creative energy but there’s this strange attitude of people being dissuaded from trying to read the comics at all because they’re seen as all bad and it’s just a shame because there’s so many good ones out there and although they can be complex they’re ultimately made to be accessible and there’s a reason why people are in the fandom and that’s because the original media is so compelling so it’s a strange contridiction that they’re not valued by some of the people in the fandom also fandom tends to simplify and exaggerate ideas when they’re mostly based on fanon not that fanon isn’t better in some cases but overall pattens of it are just less interesting to me this is based mostly on the batman fandom because they probably have it the worst
