Chocolate And Vanilla - Blog Posts

Well it seems you're getting some serious judgment in the asks. That's obnoxious. Do you like to hear about your followers jacking off to your stories? Asking for a friend ;)

We don’t mind the judgement. We expected to get it based on what we’ve seen on others’ blogs.

G’s dad used to say, “that’s why they make both chocolate and vanilla!” Well, the stuff we post isn’t just plain old vanilla or chocolate. It’s not even French Vanilla or Chocolate Fudge. Not everyone likes Pralines and Cream or Jamocha Almond Fudge like we do. We don’t like Bubble Gum, personally. The difference is that we don’t point out what a weirdo the other guy is when he orders it. We might get to the car and say, “did you see that guy ordered Bubble Gum ice cream? Gross!” But we don’t stop him on the way out of the store and ask, “what, are you some kind of fag? Only queers eat Bubble Gum ice cream. MY husband is a REAL man who only eats plain vanilla. He would NEVER eat that Bubble Gum stuff. That’s fairy food!” It’s just not polite. So, we say again: “to each his own.”

By the same token, Kat likes to share her Pralines and Cream. I enjoy watching her do that. When she’s done, I like to lick the spoon. And the bowl. And if there’s a little whipped cream or Pistachio ice cream in there from someone else’s sundae, all the better. I realize all of this is an imperfect analogy, and it’s a little childish, but trying to explain oneself to an anonymous stranger on the internet is as futile as arguing politics with a fanatic. Hopefully this comment brings a little understanding to the situation. We’re not trying to convince anyone we’re “normal” because there’s an inherent flaw in the assumption that there is a “normal” at all. If you think that someone who only eats chocolate or vanilla is “normal,” but label them as “different” or “weird” if they eat other flavors (or even a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla together (God forbid!), you’re missing the point. That’s why they make 31-derful flavors at the ice cream parlor. All of them are normal. Everyone’s tastes are different. And we don’t have to eat the bubble gum if we don’t want to. But you go ahead and enjoy yours. We won’t judge. Even if you eat bubble gum ice cream with caramel sauce and gummy bears. We don’t care what you like. But we do like that you’re smiling when you eat it. Enjoy!

And to answer your question from a friend, yes! Absolutely. We love to hear from fans of our stories. We love it when we get comments and messages...especially ones that let us know “how much” you enjoyed them. “Keep those cards and letters coming!” And happy jacking!
