Fun outfits

Fun Outfits
Fun Outfits

I needed a small confidence boost and making outfits is one of my favorite specialties!

I might sew some of these, but my body isn’t fit for most of them and I’m not really comfortable with it right now, so this are just really fun for me!

Remember you will always be appreciated by people you’ve known. They might’ve only met you once, but that little moment can be the reason why they’re still here or the reason they love to see you each day, even if they don’t talk to you.

Someone told me my hair and fashion style was “too 2010s.” It’s only been two years. Please!😭😭😭

Pardon me while I throw everything I own away and buy hundreds of dollars of now clothes so I can be one of the cool kids.

Seriously though, who has the time, money and energy to completely reinvent themselves every time a new style drops. Not me. 👋

i was like three pics in when i just wanted to Google the name of a girl from Soul Eater Not! And it deleted my damn progress 😭😭😭 i was panicking but then Tumblr was like "Aha, actually, we just saved it in ur drafts without telling you:>" so uh..

Anyways, This ones for you river-is-transmasc:>>

Soo I got inspired a lil bit to draw Big Sis Magne again, but THIS TIME she's got different outfits on! Because we can all agree that she needs more than that Orange jacket and Jean combo. (Not that it's bad, it's just a lil plain compared to the other villains ykyk) soo i took the liberty of giving Magne the outfits she NEEDS. Starting up, we have this random fit I made that started off everything.

Even though there's no colours cause, y'know, I don't got em, I'll describe it to you. She's got a thigh length Hot pink Leopard print dress with some frill on the straps and top hem (I think that's what it's called). With a blue jean jacket on, (complete with a trans pin, cuz trans icon), baby pink heels and a Anklet :>>

honestly I like the dress idea on her, reminds me of those 2000s Halloween duct tape dresses but like In a good way

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

Next up, we have two outfits. The first outfit on the Left, she's got a sleeveless cream coloured cropped top that was originally supposed to be a flower shaped top, but I chickened out cause I didn't know how to draw it and make it look good, so I just drew the top with a pattern mimicking sweater pattern. She's got some light blue jeans on, and silver bracelets.

On the Right, I drew her in a [I (heart) J P] shirt (JP meaning the abbreviation of Japan). This one was based off of Liz's 'I heart New York' shirt in Soul Eater Not!, cause I got the first two books from my school's library for free!

I also gave her an Eye design cause I'm 80% sure we never see her eyes without her sunglasses on. So uhh yeah, time to get creative

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

And next, we have her in a large loose sweater with sleeves that go just past the elbow with a Yellow and Green Hill wavey pattern. Over a white dress shirt and pinkish full Shorts. This one Was based off of Tsugumi's Death Bazaar flea market outfit from Soul Eater Not!, that's two cameos inna row! I even drew her in Tsugumi's pose

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

This one has Magne in a bright yellow turtleneck, with a green tank top with white stripes. This was actually based off of one of Veronica's beautiful outfits in the Old Archie Comics, specifically the outfit she wore in 'Archie in a Sappy Tree' minus the tag pearl necklace, and plus the lil ponytail.

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

Here's the outfit inspo: ↓

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

This mext one wasn't REALLY a outfit, I just liked the idea of Magne getting her face Squished, thought it was cute/funny :>>

LooK at that round face-

-✿ squish ✿-

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

And finally we have Magne in that popular slash sorta popular slash maybe popular Strawberry cottage core Dress! I even put a lil strawberry hair accessory (forgot the name.. i wanna say clasp.) in her hair.

I was originally gonna go for Sanrio since I thought she seeme dlike a My Melody kinda girl, but I couldn't find good outfut inspo soo I just drew her in a Dress. Its pretty tho

Don't mind the smudge, I'm just Right handed and have very sweaty palms that like to show up whenever i wanna D R A W.

I Was Like Three Pics In When I Just Wanted To Google The Name Of A Girl From Soul Eater Not! And It

and that's all the drawings I have for this post, I'll probably draw some more Big sis Magne in the future since she needed more screen time and im sour about it,

Hope Y'all enjoyed! :>>>

Here's some Overhaul doodles I drew in mah new 'DESIGNER JOURNAL' i got for christmas! plus one Magne drawing cause I got upset that she barely had proper screen time

I didn't draw much

Overhaul: Kurono do NOT talk to me, I'm doing my mascara.

Here's Some Overhaul Doodles I Drew In Mah New 'DESIGNER JOURNAL' I Got For Christmas! Plus One Magne

Have some Magne because she deserves Justice

Here's Some Overhaul Doodles I Drew In Mah New 'DESIGNER JOURNAL' I Got For Christmas! Plus One Magne

here's one of my favourites I made

now, WHY did I draw Overhaul with two small sharks crawling over him like puppy dogs?

well, y'all about to loose yer damn mind

BECAUSE HE H A S SHARKS!!

Here's Some Overhaul Doodles I Drew In Mah New 'DESIGNER JOURNAL' I Got For Christmas! Plus One Magne

LOOK AT HIM!! HE'S A SHARK DAD!!! WTH SHARK CHIDLREN!!!

soo context, I bought a overhaul action figure for christmas (since it was the only mha fig in the store but we ain't gon talk about that-) and my parents got me this shark excavation kit for christmas. aaand once I found how tiny the sharks were (the excavation area was so big tho?? tf Natintonal geographic?? waste???) I decided to give them to Overhaul! and they fit in his arms so perfectly I made it canon that he has sharks.

I. freakin love Sharks.

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

Screenshot of a tweet that reads: Yknow what I’d like to see as an illustrator?

A database of cultural clothes/items submitted by people within those cultures with info like how often its used and reference photos

It would make diversity in art so much easier

Is there something like that??

tweet

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.

The Big Tights Co. And Their Amazing Tights

The Big Tights Co. and Their Amazing Tights

Confession: we have a crush on a company that makes tights. The Big Tights Company’s tights start with a plus size that is designed to fit a UK dress size 22 to 32; they’ll fit a US dress size 20-30 and stretch to fit 60 inch hips, 32 inch thighs and have a depth (gusset to waistband) of up to 28 inches. That’s right! They considered the depth of the panty area, so your tights actually don’t go sliding down your butt! Their extra plus size is designed to fit a UK dress size 32 to 42; they’ll fit a US dress size 30-40 and stretch to fit 90 inch hips, 40 inch thighs and have a depth (gusset to waistband) of up to 32 inches.

Available in a beautifully opaque option and a sheer that is basically Photoshop for your legs, the styles from The Big Tights Company are comfortable, gorgeous and actually fit. We don’t have anything else to add beyond ecstatic flailing.

I just took some art classes when I was younger, so these are just a few things I remember or have learned since then!

Anyways, this ‘tutorial’ is just something I made very quickly…and I’m not good at explaining or teaching.

So please don’t take this seriously lol

HEY ARTISTS!

Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:

HEY ARTISTS!

OPEN ANY CATEGORY AND OH LORDY–

HEY ARTISTS!

There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. I hope this can be useful to my other fellow artists as well! :)

I forgot I have to be active here so here’s my Twitter tutorial on how to draw folds I made a while back to help a friend!

A piece of cloth teaching you how to draw cloth folds of different material. Each picture depicts two arms in the same material - one thin arm and one fat arm.
THICK clothes only have a few folds! Sometimes a bump is all it takes to suggest a fold for THICK stuff. Examples are sweaters, hoodies, wool, fleece, and denim
THIN clothes have a lot of folds and bumps! Thin stuff usually has more lines that wrap around what's underneath. Examples are rayon, cotton, and crepe
SMOOTH stuff have "squiggly" folds. Smooth cloth folds tend to "loop" back to where they start. Examples are silk, velvet, Satin, Bamboo cotton, and most luxurious stuff
SOFT clothes have round folds. Unlike smooth stuff, soft stuff doesn't have many "squiggles" or solid lines in between. Examples are down jackets, fur, fleece, washed linen, and polyester
STIFF clothes have angular folds! Most folds tend to look triangular - assuming they even fold at all! Examples are raincoats, New denim, canvas, and suits
PS I have avoided talking about loose vs tight clothing since whatever is loose on one person (A shows a thin arm in a baggy yellow sleeve) might not be as loose on a different person (B depicts the same sleeve which comfortably fits around the fat arm). However it's still important to learn about these type of things.
Person asks, "So uh... what happens if the clothes are Smooth and Thin, or Thick and Soft?" The answer is DO BOTH! Top right shows a full woman in a dress that has a Smooth skirt and a Stiff top half. Even though it's one dress, one part is more Smooth while the other part is more Stiff. There are more examples but don't forget to study hard and have fun!

I’ve been asked a lot about how I draw hoods, mostly Talon’s hood, so I hope this helps a little? Just a pretty basic thing but hey there ya go

Hoods are pretty cool, they usually have a lot of variety in how they can look (and sometimes people even wear two hoods at once) so just get creative with it and have fun
