Ifa’s voice line about Chasca is … short and makes me 🤔 because he states he cares about all his friends and he has a lot of things to say about them, and they in turn have a lot to say about Ifa, Chasca including, but all Ifa says about Chasca is two sentences about how her peacekeeping is helpful and that’s it.
I can think of two reasons why he seems so reluctant and 1) she has abyss connections and it’s not like he’s scared of her or thinks she’s a monster, but because Ifa’s parents died by abyssal infection and 2) I think he feels guilty about Chuychu’s passing and doesn’t want to impose or overwhelm Chasca.
Chuychu and Ifa were both doctors in the Flower-Feather Clan and his clinic’s sign use to say he deferred everyone who wasn’t a saurian to see her, but since she passed away, he changed his sign to say he’ll try his best to help both warriors and saurians alike, not to replace her, but to aide however he can.
( I also like to think he kinda had a crush on her but that’s my shipper googles and I think Chasca reminds him of her and it makes him sad 😞 )
Now... Ifa better keep an eye on Cacucu... (wrio leave ifa's buddy ALONE?)
❝ Hey now! When this turned into me being irresponsible? It ain't my fault Cacucu's part chicken an' flies off when he's scared. ❞ Ifa laughs, only kidding.
“No way, bro!” Cacucu huffs with a fluff of his feathers.
❝ Don't hafta' worry, bro … uh, Your Grace? I know he looks small an' dainty, but he's always got my back an' I got his. ❞ Ifa explains with a genuine, warm smile as he looks up at Cacucu.
The vet's gaze then looks to Wriothesley and Ifa senses something lingering in the warden's being, in his eyes of ice and Ifa understands; goodbyes are hard, but they are not the end of things.
❝ You ever in Natlan, make sure you drop us a visit in the Flower-Feather Clan. Cacucu took a shine to you also. ❞ Ifa smiles and Cacucu flutters his little wings with excitement, swooping side to the side in the air with glee.
“My little dude!”
Cacucu Headcanons!
He's a juvenile Qucusaur. He's at an age between the infant and adult Qucusaur forms. He hatched way to late and is developing slow. He's a late bloomer (think Happy Feet) and his wingspan shows the adult plumage while his body shows the infant (dewy and soft) feathers.
From Ifa's character stories: When Cacucu hatched, the first person he saw was Ifa because Ifa was called to heal Cacucu's mother. My headcanon is Qucusaurs don't usually bond to humans until they're adults, but Cacucu did so in that moment. He searches for Ifa after his mother passed and ended up being attached by other Qucusaurs, a behavior I have explained before. The attack nearly killed Cacucu had not been for Ifa who saved him that day. Cacucu lost his left eye from the attack.
Despite developing late, Cacucu's vocal chords are advancely developed and evolved greater than the adult Qucusaurs, enough so that he's able to mimic human speech. While Qucusaurs have complex communications skills, none can mimic human speech.
Cacucu is bonded to Ifa even if Ifa has not realized this. Ifa explains Cacucu gets jealous when he takes another Qucusaur to flight and it's because Cacucu has bonded to Ifa, that's his bro (his rider) and even if Cacucu's little body struggles to carry Ifa in flight, the little raptor dreams he will one day grow to full adult and be able to fly and soar the skies with Ifa. If Ifa were to pass away, Cacucu will never take another rider. ever.
Cacucu is a bit of a glutton. Any and all unattended food will disappear, especially sweets like cookies and baked goods.
Cacucu is a bit immunocomprised and is vulnerable to saurian type infections and diseases. This becomes a challenge sometimes as Cacucu works as Ifa's assistant in his clinic and could potentially catch infections from patients. Ifa gives Cacucu regular checks up and monitors Cacucu's health & growth charts. Cacucu is also more likely to become abyssal infected.
Cacucu only rests on Ifa's head, but if he does ever land on your head know you are chosen (you make him feel safe, secure, comfortable and he trusts you greatly. a great honor)

Details of a Muse
1. What does your muse usually smell like? Do they use colognes, body sprays or perfumes? Are they clean-smelling, or dirty? Answered.
2. What are your muse’s eyes like? What shape and colour are they, how long are their eyelashes? What are the qualities of their eyebrows?
Ifa's eyes are teal i.e light greenish-blue and has diamond shape iris. There's also some orange, which is the anime effect, but I think in our world would be something of hazel eyes. He's a tired healthcare worker and carries with him the trauma of the abyssal war so there's a color of exhaustion in his eyes, a dark ring under his eyes. His resting face can give off stern or unfeeling, unapproachable, but Ifa is anything of the sort. His eyelashes are unremarkable, nothing different or unique, and his eyes brows are all unremarkable, same shade as his hair.
3. What are your muse’s hands like? What is the texture of their palms, how are their fingers shaped, do they clean or cut their nails? Answered.
4. What is your muse’s torso area like? How wide are their shoulders, how large is their chest, do they have notable abs or a tummy?
Ifa is toned and defined in his chest and torso, he's pretty athletic. He has wide shoulders and slim waist (nothing like Boothill or Kaeya level) and has the dorito shoulder to waist ratio. He's doesn't really have noticeable abs, but feeling the muscles of his tummy or chest is pretty firm and very nice. 10/10.
5. What is your muse’s nose like? Is it large, small, button-shaped, or crooked? Are their nostrils large or small?
Unremarkable, neither large, small, button-shaped or crooked. Average looking nose.
6. Does your muse have any scars? What are their qualities, how do they feel to touch, where did they come from? Are they permanent, or will they fade?
Oh yes! Ifa's has scars on both his forearms (the right glove covers it) and has a scar on his left eye. He also has a few on his back and several bite marks on his sides and forearms. All from saurians who were scared and defending themselves because they're sick, hurt, or weak. The scar on his left eye is the oldest scar and he was clawed at as a teenager from his father's qucusaur who was infected by the abyss and became outwardly aggressive and crazed. It did not recognize Ifa or even it's own rider. Ifa's father had no choice but to end his saurian's suffering.
How tall is your muse and how much do they weigh? Are they built, muscular, fat, or skinny? Do they have much control over how they appear?
He is the same heigh as Wriothesley and I'll meet anybody in the pit who wants to debate me on that lmao. Ifa is 6ft 4inches tall and weighs average for an athletic, fit 30 y.o old man who is 193cm tall. Ifa has plenty control of his appearance.
8. What features does your muse share with their parents? Have they inherited anything prominent or notable, like hair colour?
Details of a Muse
Ifa prominently looks like his father (even resembling his ancestor; the vet family genes strong i.e the albino hair, the height, and teal eyes) but Ifa has the personality and temperament of his mother.
She was a Qucusaur flight instructor and saurian trainer who could connect and calm any saurian. When she married, she became assistant to her husband’s clinic and eventually became a vet herself. She was multitalented with saurians and taught Ifa how saurians are like children and are the future. The medical satchel Ifa uses and carries belonged to his mother.
From his father, Ifa has quite a record of medical knowledge. His father was very good at records and had a library for saurian medicine. Ifa’s medical journaling are also quite detailed. Their handwriting are almost identical!
Strong arms cross over the vet's ample chest and Kaeya's words, teasing as they were, did not ease Ifa's worries. In fact, he rethinks his decision and shakes his head; as obedient and capable as Cacucu is, he's easily influenced, especially by troublemakers and Kaeya …
❝ Y'know what, lets all go together. ❞ Ifa can finish writing in these medical journals later. He throws on his long jacket and Cacucu flaps happier, laughing.
❝ No, I'm not jealous. I'm not like you, Cacucu. It's bad banners to let guests pick up errands and make 'em work. ❞ Ifa shakes his head and brings a basket with him for the groceries they'll pick up.
❝ That sounds like quite a list. Are you trying to bake something? ❞
' Ah, are you sure you want to part from your companion just to make me feel safer? You're living up to your nice reputation, Ifa. ' Despite the joke in his voice, he's flattered. Cacucu can be a terrific support fluffball. He feels very supported already!' Alright, we'll be on our way then- remind me, what do we need to bring back? Grainfruits, berries, some flour...? '
Puts a cute red bow on Cacucu's head 💙
“HAHA!” Cacucu squawks happily, fluttering his wings with joy and swaying in the air back and forth around Kaeya's head. Oh, he has to show this off in front of Ajaw
❝ Aw, thanks, bro. He really loves it. You're awesome sauce for that. ❞ Ifa offers up Kaeya a fist bump.
Ifa holds up his hand and waves away the compliment.
❝ Seriously, it's my job and I try my best for my patients. ❞ He smiles politely at the Iudex.
Ifa wishes he had brought his medical journal with him. He hadn't known other nations had dragonkind and didn't think he have any reason to record any medical cases as he wouldn't have any on his journey. He'll have to buy a notebook in the market and record his experience with the Iudex of Fontaine.
❝ I have a close friend who has draconic genetics similar to saurians so you can trust I've handled cases similar yours, and you've got nothing to be worried about du—sir. ❞ Ifa explains as he returns his stethoscope to his medical side satchel.
❝ As I said, make sure to dwell in areas that are natural to your dragon energies. You seem fatigue beyond what natural rest can provide. For the saurians of Natlan, this would be interacting with and immersing in phlogiston. I imagine, in the land of hydro … perhaps you need to go for a swim more often. It happens to koholasaurus who don't return to liquid phlogiston pools. ❞
“Serisouly! Seriously!” Cacucu squawks
@ifadoc: ❝ no need to thank me, dude ... uh, Mr. Iudex. ❞ (Neuvi)
sitting on one of the sofas in his office to rest up after feeling rather unwell lately, he was surprised to see the saurian veterinarian from natlan willing to take a look at him. it was unusual having someone who understood draconic blood around to theorise possible issues with him, but it was refreshing given how his nature as hydro sovereign has at this rate washed out most of his humanity.
"your talents in this field do deserve praise, dr. de los lantos, i know i may not be the most usual case of dragons natlan has, but i am grateful you are able to assist in my need. i do feel bad that i am robbing you of a well deserved break from your field, however."
hands cacucu a machine gun
❝ Sorry bro, but I don't think those talons can hold that gun. I appreciate it though. We at the Flower-Feather Clan have tried to arm Qucusaurs before in the past, but they have their own natural ways to defend themselves so there's no need to give these dudes guns. ❞
“Seriously! Seriously!” Cacucu squawks out.
❝ Qucusaurs, like Cacucu here, are able to blast fire balls from their mouths. Cacucu, however, can only fire one every four hours or he'll have wicked heartburn. ❞
“Nut-uh! No way, bro! The heck are you on about?”
❝ Sorry, he's a bit … touchy about that. ❞
❝ you have a nice smile, has anyone ever told you that before? ❞ \ clenches fist , ororon
It is late at night and Ifa was invited for dinner at Ororon's place. The two Natlan warriors are still seated at the table after the delicious meal was done and they idly chat, having coffee and cookies.
Ifa made himself comfortable prior to the meal, his white coat hanging on the back of the chair and he removed his gloves. His hat is flipped over on his lap and Cacucu has nested inside the cowboy hat, sleeping soundly with a tummy full of food.
Ifa has an elbow on the table and rests his chin in his palm, his other hand gently and sweetly petting over Cacucu's feathery head as the qucusaur sleeps.
Cacucu almost never knocks out when visiting Ororon. Those two are always buzzing with energy and they genuinely enjoy each other's company, but the Tlalocan vet and his assistant had quite the busy day at the clinic and Ifa doesn't mind Cacucu snoozing away inside his hat. After the chaos of today, Cacucu deserves to rest.
Ifa continues to listen to Ororon's stories and tales while petting Cacucu's head. A smile soon spreads over his bronze features in this peaceful and perfect moment. A soft and fond smile; a smile that is equally exhausted, but warm and full.
Cacucu has been with Ifa through the thick of it all, through hell and high water, and still he remains by Ifa. Cacucu is such a good and wonderful companion. Ifa feels so grateful, his heart swelling with love and …
Ororon says something odd again and it pulls Ifa from his thoughts.
❝ My what? ❞ Ifa blinks at Ororon. His smile? Did Ororon compliment his smile?
Ifa chuckles nervously and feels the warmth in his heart rush to his cheeks.
❝ Nah, I'd just … we had a long day and we're tired, dude. I should get going. I gotta get this little guy to bed anyhow. Th-thanks, though … for dinner! ❞
❝ i don't usually talk this much, it just feels easy to say stuff when you're listening. ❞ \ ororon :3
Ifa is helping Ororon in his garden, having the time to spare since he finished rounds early and in a lull with new patients now that peace has settled over the land of war.
The saurian vet is crouched down in a soft bed of soil and moving the dirt with a garden spatula. Ororon is crouched down besides him also, talking up a storm of many and odd things, like always, and Ifa listens.
A whole afternoon spent together like this and it's not until the two Natlan warriors straighten up with their bounty of cabbages, potatoes, and fruits does Ororon speak another odd thing; and this time it makes Ifa chuckle softly, like the Mictlan ancient name bearer told a joke.
❝ Dude, you always talk like this when you're out here gardening. It's cool though. Sometimes, you have far more interesting things to say than I do. ❞ Ifa begins dividing the fruits and vegetables, knowing already which Ororon's will gift to friends tomorrow.
❝ I'm glad you can talk about any and everything, whether to me or these cabbages. ❞
Ifa primarily practices veterinary medicine and studies zoology, but he does know triage care for humans. One might think these medicines have overlap in care and treatment, but the biology of different species are different from one another, let alone humans, and therefore Ifa cannot diagnose or treat humans because he hasn't study the biology. However, he does know triage care i.e emergency medicine and knows skills what a paramedic might know, like ABCs, (airway, breathing, circulation) and he knows how to keep someone from dying, to keep them stable enough for another physician to come in and properly treat and cure.
In his main verse, Ifa's magic can only heal dragonkind and magical creatures, but his magic cannot completely cure and treat major and critical illness, so he still needs to practice the medicine he's learned. Unfortunately, his magic cannot heal humanity, a clause of his magic from generations of magical veterinarians. The above headcanon fits here where he knows triage and emergency medicine.
In his genpact verse, Ifa only treats saurians and deferred warriors of the clans to Chuychu, but when she passed, the clans were down a physician during a war and desperate times called for desperate measures. He learned triage and MASH care on the spot and treated saurians and Natlan warriors. After the war, Ifa changed the sign outside his clinic, stating he'll try his best in his care of saurians and humans alike. People who have dragon biology and or appear in a humanoid form with draconic features, like Ororon and Neuvillette, yes, Ifa can treat them beyond emergency care.
In his hsr verse, it's hard to be a vet in space when every planet and star system has it's own ecology, biology, and species, so Ifa is a regular doctor. This headcanon doesn't apply in this verse.
i had the biggest crash out about ifaron in the gc does anybody need a laugh lmfao like peak delusional asdfgkih
❝ you can ask me anything you want. i promise i'll answer truthfully except the things i feel like lying about. ❞
Ifa didn't have much of an opinion of The Fatui prior to the war, but since The Captain's sacrifice and hearing Ororon's endless praise of The Captain ... Ifa understands the delegation of diplomats is now viewed as a comrade to the six tribes of Natlan.
However, do The Fatui and its Harbingers see the warriors of Natlan as brothers-in-arms? Are The Captain's colleagues, these Harbingers, are they heroic and valiant as he was? Do they understand what it means to endure and grieve in war, or is it all a game to obtain a chess piece?
This one with ginger locks of hair ... he has an aura about him that's chilling to Ifa's core and it reminds the vet of the first time he met Chasca as kids.
❝ Hey man, it's chill. I'm not looking to ruffle your feathers. I was wondering if The Fatui would like to honor their fallen Captain. In Natlan, we honor every fallen hero. There is a memorial, but ... ❞
Ifa looks in the direction where The Captain's still body resides in Ochkanatlan.
❝ I'm not familiar with Snezhnaya customs. ❞
Hospitality may be different in other nations, but stealing food is universally understood and Ifa couldn't allow his saurian companion to misbehave in such a manner. He gives Cacucu another gentle tug back when the young woman offers more of her cookies and the tiny raptor squawks again in understanding, his little wings flapling to land on Ifa's shoulder instead.
❝ We couldn't possibly bother you any more, miss. Thank you. Currently I'm taking a little vacation with a friend of mine. We're from Natlan and we're visiting Fontaine for the first time, though I'd thought I take it slow and walk through the Court today, and well, here we are chatting with you. ❞
Ifa explains as he gazes over the trays of delicious food laid out on the lady's table. Not a dish he recognizes, but still looks rather delicious.
It was a grand idea at first to take a vacation now that peace has settled over the land of war and the exhausted vet was in need of one, working hard to heal saurians throughout the war, but now that they're here, it doesn't sit well in Ifa's heart.
It's hard to relax and leave his clinic behind, not when the Flower-Feather clan is down a physician. Cacucu who seems to sense something amiss in their colleague, flaps their wings again and Ifa understands, getting to introductions.
❝ I'm Ifa and you've met Cacucu, my assistant and companion. He's a saurian. Say you're sorry, little dude.❞
"For real now? No way, bro."
❝ He's a bit of mimic. Everything I say he tends to repeat it. ❞ Ifa chuckles softly and he accepts her invitation, sitting across from her. His eyes of teal has the chance to take sight of the lady's kind smile and Fontaine beauty. Her style of clothing is very different than any of what the tribal women wear in Natlan.
Her hat is huuuuge! Ifa thinks.
❝ Oh! A saurian is a sort of dragonkind, but no need to be scared of little ol' Cacucu, unless you're hiding anymore of those delicious looking cookies.❞
Cacucu squawks resembling the sound of Ifa's laughter and Ifa looks to the lady, smiling politely.
❝ So far Fontaine is ... really refreshing. The breeze is cool and smells like the ocean. Natlan is scorching hot and smells like soot. Do you have any recommendations to where I should start first? ❞
@ifadoc sent:
❝ Cacucu! C'mon, man! That ain't cool! ❞ Ifa grabs the dangling leather strap from Cacucu's backbag and he tugs his little assistant back from wolfing down the towering plate of macaroons. His saurian companion has disturbs the lady's afternoon, stealing cookies from her tea tray and Ifa looks to the Fontainian with an apologetic expression. ❝ Sorry ‘bout that, little miss. He’s a bit of a glutton. We're visiting the Court of Fontaine for the first time and he's a little excited. ❞ “So good, bro!” Cacucu squawks out about the cookies. ( for Navia )
𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓓𝓮𝓶𝓸𝓲𝓼𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓮 𝔀𝓪𝓽𝓬𝓱𝓮𝓭 𝓲𝓷 𝓮𝔁𝓬𝓲𝓽𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽 as the little Saurian had flown over to her table, and she didn’t intervene his feasting on the sweet treats that she’d had placed on her tray. Though, most of her excitement came from the praise at the taste of her macarons.
“Oh, it’s no problem at all! I’m glad he likes them,” Navia giggled softly, “Welcome to Fontaine! Where are you guys traveling from? I’ve never seen a little guy like this?” There was something absolutely charming and endearing about the pair, maybe it was the little Saurian’s repetitive phrases.
Regardless, Navia was beyond intrigued, and she extended a gloved hand toward one of the chairs, “You’re both welcome to join me! I can have more macarons made so he can eat till his heart is content.”
Ifa's guide to saurians:
Tepetlisaur - Helpful, curious, and friendly in nature. They’ve learned to co-exist with humans, even recognizing when humans are in need of aid, altering and rescuing humans. Their offspring remain with parents and have shown to care for parents in late age. They have extremely hard scales, needing specially designed surgical tools to sept and extract. Teptlisaurs will eat anything and often have gastrointestinal issues.
Iktomisaur - Observant, curious, and calm in nature. They display the most intelligence and understanding of complex human emotions and speech. They are the least aggressive and territorial of saurians. Iktomisaurs mate for life and tend to have bacterial infection on their talons or have feather lice; love to eat bananas the most.
Koholasaur - Intelligent and wary of humans, but known to forge bonds with humans after mutual signs of trust and kindness. They tend to remain within their pods, but known to be curious and enjoy the festive music of The People of Springs. Omnivores and known to eat their own kind. They tend to have health conditions later in life, such as cancers and ulcers, and often lose teeth throughout their lives, they regrow.
Yumkasaur - Friendly and extremely curious in nature. They are not the brightest of saurians, they frog blink. They tend to have so. many. trauma. related. injuries. due to constant aerodynamic lifestyle. They are only aggressive and territorial when young are threatened. The are the second most dangerous of saurians with powerful hind legs and talons that can crush with incredible pressure. They enjoy fruits and love to lick Flamegranates.
Qucusaur - They are more aggressive and territorial than Yumkasaur. The most vocal of saurians and shows intelligence through complex forms of communication. They are harder to form bonds with, often humans need to prove their worth. However, extremely loyal when bonded to a human and some will only take one human rider in a lifetime. Perhaps, the most dragon-like. They fly and hunt in packs with a female leader. They tend to have more social and psychological issues within their own species, a survival-of-the-fits type of hierarchy, and shunning outliners of their packs. They are also known to have feather lice, otolaryngological issues, and heartburn. Strictly carnivorous.
Tatankasaur - The most dangerous of saurians in all of Natlan. A stampeding herd can cause the most tragic destruction towards human settlements, but they can also be the most useful, and can pull things 3x their own weight. They are slow, but resilient, and have six stomachs. They live the longest out of all the saurians, and tend to have quite a wide range of health issues, ranging from fungal infections and bacterial infection, etc. Herbivores. The most dependent on humans for horn and paw care. They have great memory, and are shown to even enjoy playing along with humans of The Collective of Plenty.
It seems almost strange for Ifa to have a moment of repose. The trauma of the abyssal war still weighing down on The Tlalocan, the face of every injured saurians he's healed and lost still fresh in his mind. It feels wrong for the vet ( and fills his heart with guilt ) to sit at the edge of his clinic, feet dangling off the cliffside, and sharing the gorgeous sunset in the company of a friendly outlander.
❝ Mondstadt?! Aw, dude, you're way far from home. ❞ Ifa stares into his cup of Xocoatl. He's brought one for Kaeya and a plate for cookies to share between them.
❝ Land of freedom, right? Man, that's like the total opposite. Nation of war and competition here. What's it like, dude? Mondstadt? ❞
@ifadoc: you can stay here, if you don't want to go home. ( for kaeya; inbox call )
the warmth of natlan mixing with his own issues was making it hard for kaeya during his time in the nation of war. slumped outside of the vet's place, he looked up at him and sighed a bit as he shrugged a little bit.
"i don't want to be a burden, i know your nation's only just finished an abyssal war. i'm just a simple traveller here, but... it'll be a long walk back to mondstadt in this weather and time so.. i won't say no."
Ifa isn't sure how he's come into this situation or knows who ( or what ) he's helping, but The Tlalocan veterinarian can't do nothing. Ifa removes his medical satchel from his belt and lays it out for the creature to see everything he's doing.
He reaches into the satchel for triage materials and Cacucu knows the drill, the saurian raptor hovers down and turns his back to Ifa, giving his colleague the chance to reach into little backbag for smaller medical items. Ifa is ready to begin his care and he perks up at hearing the guttural plea from the creature. He blinks with surprise before nodding his head. Of course.
❝ I'll help you, bud, no worries there. I'm gonna look at you now, okay? ❞
Ifa can see they are infected with abyssal corruption and likely … far from human. They have a tail, indigo claws, eyes like a sea of stars, and a devolved speech pattern. Ifa will have to try his best here. He's not even sure if they need a regular doctor, a vet, or The Traveler who can heal abyssal corruption.
Somehow, Ifa can hear his ancestors cursing him ( with brooms in hands ) from beyond the Night Kingdom. He's healing abyssal creatures now?
"Relax, bro. We got you, bro!" Cacucu squawks to reassure the creature and Ifa motions again for the raptor to stay back. He can't risk Cacucu catching any abyssal corruption. Ifa too can catch it himself, but that doesn't seem to concern him.
❝ Almost done. You're doing good. ❞ Ifa explains as he finishes wrapping a bandage.
❝ But, you're going to need more help than this. Do you know where you are, or what happened to you? Who you are? ❞
Ifa watches how the outlander gently handles the baby saurian and he listens to how Kaeya speaks to the small Iktomisaurus with consideration and respect.
It pleasantly surprises the saurian vet and a small smile spreads across his dark features; Ifa knows an opportunity when he sees one.
The Tlalocan moves in closer, offering the saurian in Kaeya's arms the cracker and he draws the needle closer to the tiny Iktomisarus' thigh. Ifa pushes back the soft dew feathers of the baby dragon and with a quick yet steady focus he administers the intramuscular injection. The Iktomisarus flaps its small wings with sad little hoos and Ifa draws the syringe back. He raises his gloved hand to the Iktomisarus' head and soothes it with a light pet and gentle smile.
❝ There we go, all done. You're so good, little gal. ❞ Ifa discards the used syringe in it's proper sharps container and looks to Kaeya, easily impressed by how the calvary captain manages the baby saurian, but also … he talks funny.
“The heck are you on about, bro? Chill, bro.” Cacucu squawks out bluntly, flapping his little wings by Ifa's head.
❝ Yeah, man. You talk a'lotta game, but we're done yet. Think you can handle a few more. I owe you big time. ❞ Ifa chuckles with a small smile. He appreciates Kaeya's assistance.
' Aye aye, Mr.-Vet-Who-Dislikes-Fooling-Around. Fine, I'll help. But you seem to have the situation under control already, ' Kaeya exhales a sigh of fake exasperation, clearly unwilling to part with his very cute, very warm hat who seems to have taken an interest in him. In fact, while well-behaved, the other Iktomisaurus seem to have noticed him, eyeing him with questions in their big eyes. But it seems like the reward is delicious crackers to munch on, so they stay well in line.
The one in his arms, however, makes a small squeak of alarm at the sight of the syringe.
' Aaah, I get it. ' He's solemnly nodding at the poor baby as he presses in the blue-ish fur of his cape. ' I know, look at that. Seems like a big deal, eh? But it'll prickle for just a moment, our dear vet will make sure that it only stings for a very small time. And then... '
Ah, look at this. Mischief written all over his face as he looks at Ifa, the cavalry captain slowly carries the now-more-agreeable saurus towards the vaccination point.
' ...And then, you can start haggling on how many delicious crackers you want to keep your silence. Start with two and half, and make sure to get to five to really dig the point in that you can't be easily bribed. Or, well, you can be bribed... ' He stops for a moment, considering something inane. ' But master vet is exiting this deal dry. Oh yes, he is. '
It doesn't help that the little Iktomisaurus group are now looking directly at ifa. The babies are craving the honey-flavored sweets, bro.
@ccaptain sent: ❛ whatever you’re going to ask, the answer is no. ❜ / particularly if it addresses the little iktomisaurus coming off his head. its a very adorable coo-ing hat
Ifa has a few infant saurians in his clinic today, all of which are requiring their milestone vaccinations. He's encouraged the young dragonkin to stay together using saurian crackers he's baked early this morning, but just as the vet readies his tray of syringes, he's counted one baby dragon short of the bunch.
Ifa swivels his head 180, searching for the small Iktomisaurus. How could it slip from the group? Those baby bat saurians are the most timid and well-behaved of the saurians. Then Ifa notices the visitor from Mondstadt and his new hat.
❝ C'mon, dude. Quit foolin' 'round the babies and lead me a hand, willya? ❞
The Tlalocan holds out a cracker and the tiny Iktomisaurus coos with interest.
