I CANNOT describe how happy James being an elder queer for Ash makes me<333

In the kitchen Jessie is behind Delia holding her around her waist and kissing her cheek. Delia smiles happily and caresses Jessie's face. James watches from the living room, holding a mug. "Ugh, they're so in love it's sickening."
James closes his eyes and takes a sip of his drink. "Good for them"
Ash steps inside from the front yard with an exasperated look on his face. "Man I don't get that lovey-dovey stuff. Why do all that kissing when you could go out and make friends with Pokémon?" James looks over at Ash from the couch. "Having a partner in the future doesn't appeal to you?"
Ash looks at James confused. "Like a partner Pokémon?"
James smiles at Ash. "More like a girlfriend or boyfriend." Ash get's tense and yells at James in the foreground "NO WAYS!"
James raises his left arm and tilts his head. "Forgive me if I'm overstepping, but do you know what 'ace' means?"
Ash confidently smiles, puts his hands on his hips and puffs his chest out. "Ace trainer? Yeah! As the world champion, I'd say I'm an ace trainer myself!"
Ash still has his hands on his hips as James looks at him with a gentle smile. "Hm" James takes a sip of his drink again. "I'd say so too."
