I like to head canon that Max's parents weren't abusive, they just died when he was 3 and his aunt and uncle took him in. Max's aunt and uncle are extremely neglectful and never home. When they are home they're drunk and sometimes hit Max. This also ties in with Mr Hunnynuts was the last thing his parents gave him. Hence why Max still see's "dad" as a positive.
ok this account is turning into a puddle with a bunch of fandoms and i think it's normal thing. but I hope Camp Camp will stay here for at least a couple more arts, because I have been in love with this series for 2 or 3 years and rewatching now

alrighty, character analysis time. shoutout to @affectionatecorpse for making me realize i can just rant about anything i want and sometimes people will *like* it.
i actually think that edward and harrison are quite similar. i rewatched the quarter-moon convergence (S4, EP 5) and follow the leader (S4, EP 6), and took some notes on both harrison's and edward's character traits.
i found that they actually have a good amount in common. they're both a bit optimistic, loyal, and insecure of their looks. in (S1 EP 3), edward is insecure of his acne. in (S2 EP 3), harrison is insulted by nerris, and seems a bit insecure before exclaiming he'll "grow into his looks."
they both seem to be good at heart, though edward is definitely a bit meaner. however, in (S4 EP 9), edward defends the group against daniel once he realizes that daniel's not who he seems and was literally going to sacrifice a camper.
so, i think that if the two ever had screentime where they interacted, i actually think that maybe they would get along.
yeah i'll stop rambling.
