A digital piece of fanart based on the strike picture from Disney's Newsies: the Broadway musical. A group of twenty Manhattan newsies pose for a group picture in front of the distribution window, lit by the warm setting sun. Jack hangs from a ladder in the middle, one fist in the air gripping a rolled up newspaper tightly. Crutchie hangs right from Jack a few steps below him, holding his crutch above him so that the banner saying "Strike!" is behind Jack's head. Les, sitting on Tommy Boy's shoulders, reaches up to hold up the banner on Jack's left side. Davey, Specs, Race and Albert stand side by side with their arms around each other’s shoulders in front of the ladder. On the far left, Mike, Blink, Sniper, JoJo, and Buttons (holding up a makeshift wooden sign that says "Unioned we stand") are posing on top of stacks of newspapers. Ike is posed in front of Mike, squatting on the ground. On the far right, Elmer, Romeo (leaning on a sign that says "The World will know"), Mush and Henry are posing on the platform in front of the closed distribution window. In front of the platform, Smalls, sitting on a wooden dolly stacked with more newspapers, is being wheeled in by Finch. The newsies are posing for the picture by either raising their fists or smiling excitedly into the camera, or both. Most of them are teen boys, except for Smalls and Sniper, who are both young girls. torn newspapers are floating around the edges of the picture, some faded by movement. Clouds of dust form around the newsies' ankles. The overall image feels dynamic and full of excitement.
