couple sketches from when i watched aqotwf back in january
i didn't appreciate the last AQOTWF adaptation from a storytelling point of view, but that movie's visuals are the core inspiration for my project and the reason i started thinking about it altogether.
here's a gouache study i did approximately one month before starting to work on the comic book (so probably january or february of this year)
some concept art from the very very beginning of this project (oldest being the im westen nichts neues poster) from when i had planned to make it traditionally. these are only sketches, but i actually have some more with ink, which i can not upload with these because of the post limit :/
all of these were made between late february-early march and april
also sorry for the bad quality of the photos, digital has its benefits ig, but let me know if you'd like to see more
