Blue Sunstone continues to walk until she hears the sound of activity. She got more nervous, but decided to investigate. She slowly peeks into the room, pulling back when she noticed someone actually in there. She had no idea what they were. She peeked back in nervously. She thought the flowers looked nice, so whoever this was must have been taking good care of them. A thought suddenly popped into her head.

““wait, did I invade in on this persons house?”

Blue Sunstone was walking when she noticed the old building. Being curious, and against her own inner judgment, she got closer. Right when she was at the door, she thought she heard someone inside. At first she was nervous, but then realized it sounded almost like an animal. She got curious, and slowly entered the building. “Ugh, why am I doing this? I know better! This is such a bad idea!” Even though she said that, she slowly kept going.

*they were in the flower room, their first friend's former office, tending to the flowers and cleaning off the furniture*

1. Blue Diamond. She made have made mistakes in the past, but I’m close to her and no one is perfect.

2. The earth. It’s absolutely wonderful and pretty. It has so much to offer and experience!

3. My friends. They’re very nice and really fun. Some of them live on homeworld at the moment, but they visit sometimes, or I go visit them. As for my friends here on earth, they are very fun too! I love all my friends! And yes, I’m great friends with blue Pearl.

4. Helping people. It makes me happy when I can help others feel better and be happy.

5. My sweater. It’s very comfortable and I really like it. I’m really proud of the design too!

Strawberry battlefield!

One of the places I visited was a place called strawberry battlefield! It was really cool and pretty. There were so many weapons of different sizes scattered everywhere! Some were so big, they must have been wielded by a massive fusion!

I even tried some of the strawberries. Unfortunately, most of them, at least the ones I tried, tasted like metal and rust. But, some tasted good, so that was nice.

I got help from the crystal gem lapis with getting up on some of the floating platforms. They were cool and I wonder how they even float. I got a little nervous after a while, but that’s probably from me accidentally looking over the edge of a really high one.

Overall, that place was great and super pretty, and I definitely want to learn about the history of this place!

I’m very flattered you all like my blog so much! I’m sorry I haven’t posted much lately, I’ve been busy trying new earth stuff and exploring places steven told me about! I’ll definitely make some posts, or one big one, talking about the places I visited and what I think of them.

““well, it’s not that cool, but I have a slightly lavender scented calming aura. It can’t force people to calm down, it can only help them calm down and relax.”

Blue Sunstone reaches out her hands as her gem starts to glow. A soft, calming aura comes from her hands and slowly fills the area around her.

sunstone meet up! (+addressing my absence)

I’m sorry I haven’t said much lately, I got distracted by things and temporarily forgot about the blog. I’m sorry, and I’ll try to correct that for the future.

Now, for the reason I made this post. 

I finally got to meet the sunstone of the crystal gems! The fusion between steven and garnet! They aren’t around often, and hadn’t had any classes lately, so steven and garnet hadn’t fused for a while.

She was very excited to meet me, as it turns out, she were the only sunstone that she had ever known, and I was the first sunstone that she had ever met!

She showed me things she liked to do, we even ended up doing a few of those things together. 

Overall, she was very pleasant, gave great hugs, and I would love to hang out with her again!

Have you met any other sunstones?

Surprisingly, not many. I guess our type of gem isn’t common, or maybe it’s because the place I lived didn’t really have a use for sunstone gems. Now that I think about it, it’s definitely the second one. Anyway, I think I’ve only met about 3 so far, at separate times, and not including myself. A green Oregon sunstone, a red Oregon sunstone, and a purple-burgundy one. From what I’m told, it’s rare for the diamonds to make one of the last color, so that sunstone was pretty special. Overall, all three sunstones were very friendly, nice, and we got along well.

Blue Sunstone smiled.

““alright then, where to start.”

She thought for a moment.

““ok, so my job back on homeworld, before era 3, was that I was blue diamonds therapist. I was made for her to help her feel better after pink diamonds supposed shattering. I have a few abilities too. I can create a calming aura with a very mild lavender sent, which I can use to calm down either clients, or people trying to attack me. It’s not as effective if the person is extremely angry though. It’s important to note that it’s doesn’t force the person to be calm, it just helps them relax. I’m also pretty strong, and can run fast, but not to crazy levels.”

Blue Sunstone placed her right hand over her gem as it glowed. She lifted her hand. A screen similar to the one peridot had on her limb enhancers, except it’s blue, came out of her gem. 

““I also have this log I use for therapist notes and as my own personal journal.”

She puts the screen away.

““and of course, my fire abilities.” She holds out her hand and it bursts into flames, she quickly puts it out though.

““I can also store things in my gem and shapeshift, but I don’t really use those abilities. Actually, I use the storing ability sometimes, but don’t use the shapeshifting ability at all.”

“sounds like it. If you don’t want to tell me anymore, steven, I won’t pry. You say what you’re comfortable with telling.”

She paused for a second.

“Um, do you want to know about me?”

“Oh!”  Thank goodness she asked. Steven really didn’t feel like diving deep into his own personal trauma. Transferring all his focus onto the blue sunstone before him, he offered a sweet smile.  “Yes! I-I mean, if you want to talk about yourself? No pressure, but… I’d love to get to know you better.”

Are you still close with blue diamond or the other diamonds now that your in era 3?

Of course! I still visit blue diamond when I decide to go visit homeworld. Even though I’m not her therapist anymore, we get along very well. As for the other diamonds, I get along with them too. While yellow diamond is fine, I don’t know that much about white diamond, so she spooks me a little. But we still get along.

ooc post (sunstone headcannons 2: crush edition)

-at first, she just thinks that what she’s feeling is platonic. She just thinks that she thinks they’re cool.

-over time the feelings get more intense, and she starts to realize what’s actually happening 

-she doesn’t get crushes easily, she keeps thinking it’s just admiration. So once she gets a definite crush, she falls hard.

-she ends up going into the mindscape to talk with Steven and garnet to make sure they’re ok with her perusing her crush.

-due to her not inheriting any of steven or garnet romance skills, she’s really shy and gets flustered easily 

-it would definitely take her a while to work up the courage to confess

-she would definitely try to make her confession smooth and cool, but ends up getting flustered halfway through and ends up a blushing mess.

-if her crush doesn’t feel the same way, she would be sad but understanding

-if she crush did feel the same way, she’d get super happy and excited 

-she’s definitely a little nervous at the beginning of the relationship, especially when it comes to asking about and figuring out her partners comfort zones and levels.

-as the relationship goes on, she gets more comfortable and turns into an absolute cuddle bug. She absolutely loves smothering her partner in physical affection, if they’re comfortable with that, of course.

-since she gets flustered easily, she blushed a lot. As the relationship goes on, she starts not blushing as much. She’ll still blush a bit during the more softer and intimate moments though.

-she always tries to do stuff for her partner, whether it’s helping them out or making them happy 

-she loves to gush about her partner to the other crystal gems. Even if they get sick of it, they let her keep going till she’s done cause they’re happy that she’s happy.

-despite being a pacifist, she will scold anyone who insults or makes fun of her partner 

-she’ll always make sure her partner feels good about themselves 

-she can get accidentally overprotective sometimes or keeps spouting safety advice about whatever her partners doing. She doesn’t mean to, she just wants her partner to be safe. She’ll do her best to stop if her partner gets angry or annoyed.

-if her partner doesn’t mind being carried, she’ll love to carry them around. Whether it’s bridal style, piggyback, or sitting on her arm, she’ll love it.

-loves cuddling and smooching her partner, if her partner is comfortable with that.

-doesn’t mind PDA and likes giving little pecks and holding hands.

-she doesn’t mind if her partner wants to use her chest as a pillow. She actually thinks it’s really cute.

-since she’s a huge Softie, she loves just being around her partner in general.

-if her partner is fine with it, she’ll give her safety seminars to them so she can practice and make sure it’s right.

-dates usually consist of places around beach city or going to safe places with the warp pad.

-she’ll always make sure to take into account any fears and allergies her partner  may have before choosing a date destination 

-despite the fact that she loves giving affection, she also absolutely loves being swept off her feet with cute and romantic surprises. She’ll always appreciate it.

-she makes sure to respect her partner, and makes sure her partner respects her back.

-if ever accidentally crosses any of her partners boundaries, she’ll apologize profusely and try to make up for it the best she can.

-despite being an absolute love bug, she doesn’t need super big romantic gestures to make her feel loved, but she definitely enjoys and appreciates it when they do happen.

-loves it when her partner gives her compliments. She’ll also loves giving compliments back.

-if her partner isn’t comfortable with large amounts of affection, sunstone will definitely tone it down. She’ll just stick to hand holding in public and the occasional kiss and hug in private.

-if her partner is shy, she’ll make sure they’re comfortable. She’ll try to keep them out of large crowd and loud places. She also won’t gush about them in public, only to people her partner is comfortable with in private.

-she’ll do her best to truly be herself around her partner, including the negative feelings

-she promised herself that she would never, ever, hurt her partner

-if realizes she’s accidentally slipped into toxic positivity around her partner, she’ll apologize and feel bad about it.

-if she just needs to vent and have someone just simply listen to her about her day and/or problems, she’ll go to her partner for comfort, asking if it’s ok for her to vent. She’ll quiet down and stop if it becomes too much or if they get uncomfortable.

-she absolutely hates the silent treatment, so she never uses it on her partner, and will become upset if her partner uses it on her.

- she gives her partner massages a lot, she also does this for friends too if their stressed, but she always gives them to her partner (credit for this idea goes to @apllo-apollo)

-absolutely loves it when her partner pets her. Mix that with cuddles, and she usually ends up a soft, purring, cuddly, mess.

ooc post (canon sunstone headcannons)

I decided to make a list of sunstone headcannons that I have. Some might be a little odd, but I love to know your opinion on these.

-sunstone purrs when she’s happy, content, and relaxed, it’s rare though. It’s super quiet, so you wouldn’t hear it unless you’re next to her. She also doesn’t realize that she purrs unless you point it out. She gets embarrassed when she’s told she’s purring.  - she’s gets grouchy when she’s super tired. She might even have an attitude if she’s extra tired.

-her head is super soft and fluffy. It feels like a warm blanket that just got out of the dryer.

-her body radiates a mild, soft heat. Somehow, no matter how long you hug her, the heat doesn’t get uncomfortable.

-doesn’t get a lot of modern slang, but loves using 90s slang

-absolutely loves hanging out with the other crystal gems when they aren’t busy

-Greg taught her how to play guitar 

-when she gets really angry she turns into a blue flame.

-doesn’t like serious cold

-tries her best to make others happy, and will feel really bad if she accidentally makes anyone uncomfortable or hurt

-she inherited none of garnet or Stevens romantic skills, so she gets super shy and flustered with anything that has to do with romance or if she gets complimented too much.

-if she gets really tired, small trails of smoke sometimes come out of the sides of her mouth

-despite being kind and a sweetheart, she’s not gullible or stupid 

-if she accidentally breaks something that doesn’t belong to her, she will upfront, honest and apologize 

-despite enjoying helping others and giving advice, she gets a little upset when people think that’s all she is or all that she’s good for.

-she really enjoys sleeping on a pile of blankets and pillows, but doesn’t do it often

-she loves getting validation, whether it’s verbally or physical. When it’s verbal, she loves the compliments. When it’s physical, she loves getting hugs and pets.

-Greg got her a color changing lava lamp. She absolutely loves it.

-for some reason, her shades don’t change how she sees things. You would imagine the shades would cause her to see everything in a dark red tint, but they don’t.

-she’s secretly afraid of failing her friends, or anyone really, when they need her most

-she’s already confirmed to be non-binary, but I like to imagine that she’s also pansexual.

-isn’t against poly relationships, but personally wouldn’t want to be in one herself.

-secretly gets annoyed when people ask her what’s wrong with Steven and/or garnet whenever she’s visibly annoyed or angry. especially if she’s already explained that her components are fine, it’s just her that’s upset.

-she’s been described by multiple gems as having a big, soft heart full of love for everyone and everything 

-when Steven became a vegetarian, she became one too. All the food she eats instantly gets transported to stevens stomach once she unfuses, so she thought it would be a little rude for her to, in an odd way, force steven to eat meat. She managed to find really good vegetarian versions of all the meat she likes, so she’s fine.

-she seriously doesn’t like gore or blood. It freaks her out and/or makes her queasy.

-she has Stevens big cheeks, so her face is really smooshey.

-she doesn’t like when her lower arms are covered and/or restrained 

-she’s only cursed once, and it was by complete accident. She felt really bad about it.

-when she gets really stressed, she’ll sometimes sing ‘here comes a thought’ to herself 

-when she gets excited, she’ll do stevens starry eyes. You just can’t tell cause of her shades.

-despite her usual calm, cool-cat attitude, she’s an absolute softy.

-she’s worried about showing her negative emotions when everyone knows her as being super positive and happy. Doesn’t help that sometimes people give her odd looks when she expresses her negative feelings.

-she accidentally slips into toxic positivity sometimes. She usually catches herself and tries to stop.

-when she’s hiding that she’s sad and/or angry, her smile can look a little unnatural/ forced. 

- due to the combination of accidental toxic positivity and her hiding her negative feelings sometimes, it’s caused her to sometimes use toxic positivity on herself or forcing herself to smile. She knows this probably isn’t a good idea, but it doesn’t affect steven or garnet. She’s been trying her absolute best to stop, but it’s become a toxic habit.

-in future, when Steven gets a therapist, sunstone ended up confessing everything and sometimes has therapy sessions with Stevens therapist. Even when Steven leaves, he’s agreed to have lion bring garnet to wherever he is so they can temporarily fuse into sunstone for her therapy sessions, for the sake of her own mental health. The other crystal gems were mildly annoyed at first that they didn’t have a reason to fuse with Steven, but got over it once they realized it was only for the sake of sunstones mental health.

-sunstone has agreed to skip or cancel her therapy sessions sometimes if Steven isn’t emotionally or mentally ok enough to fuse. She thinks and understands that his problems are genuinely more important and traumatic than hers, so she’s willing to wait no matter how long.

-she absolutely hates the silent treatment. She’d rather talk things out. She’s never done it to anyone, and hates being on the receiving end of it. It makes her really upset.

-she absolutely hates guacola. The cool kids once dared her to chug an entire can, which caused her to throw up. Everything she ate had the aftertaste of guacola for the rest of the day.  -due to that incident, she can’t eat anything with avocados in it. If she can’t taste the avocado, she’s fine. But if she can taste it, she gets mildly nauseous and a bad taste in her mouth.

-after a bunch of exercises, and therapy sessions with Stevens therapist, sunstone is finally able to express herself properly and freely. She no longer hides parts of herself or uses toxic positivity, she’s finally broken the habit.

I had an odd dream last night, so I decided to try drawing it because of how interesting it was. It was a pastel, calm, quiet landscape. The only sounds were my breathing and the grass under my feet.

Everything was unnaturally soft, but it was nice. I was filled with an odd sense of pure calm and bliss. The landscape seemed to be filled with it too.

I hope I have this dream again.

““oh, no, not really. I just wanted to say hi! Who are you, if you don’t mind me asking? I’m Blue sunstone.”

Blue Sunstone walked around one of the more quiet parts of homeworld. As she looked around, here eyes settled on a tall, dark, figure. They were huge, as tall as white diamond! As blue Sunstone had only met white at the beginning of era 3, she was definitely nervous to approach them. She decided to try anyway, and walked up to the fellow gem. They didn’t seem to notice her. “U-um, hello?” He shyly waved, hoping this gem was nice.

“Oh hello dear. Can I help you with something?”

“sounds like it. If you don’t want to tell me anymore, steven, I won’t pry. You say what you’re comfortable with telling.”

She paused for a second.

“Um, do you want to know about me?”

““that sounds nice, but I feel like maybe we should get to know each other more. All I know about about you is that you’re pink diamonds half-human son that she had when she became rose. Also that you started era 3. That’s really about it.”

“Huh, most Gems from Homeworld don’t usually want to get to know me like that,”  said Steven as a hand came to his chin in thought.  “Hmmm, well, based on what you’ve already said, there’s not much else to know. I’m half-human, half-Gem, and my mom is Pink Diamond. She gave up her physical form—and her gem—to bring me into the world.”

“It’s sorta complicated.”

““that sounds nice, but I feel like maybe we should get to know each other more. All I know about about you is that you’re pink diamonds half-human son that she had when she became rose. Also that you started era 3. That’s really about it.”

She smiled more. “yeah! After being hearing about earth from blue diamond, I wanted to see it for myself.”

(Ooc) blue Sunstone is already on earth for a few weeks before she decides to make the ask blog. Would you be ok with me making our roleplay as a ‘‘flashback/ look into the past’ kinda thing for the blog? Like, our roleplay is canonically how she first experienced earth. And our roleplay is how people learn about her first time on earth. Canonically, this roleplay doesn’t exist on the blog. Sorry if it’s kinda confusing. I’ll try to explain it better if you need me too.

“Well, welcome to Little Homeschool! We teach all the ins and outs of what it’s like to live alongside humans on Earth!”

I decided to add more ideas that I thought of! All credit for AU idea goes to @fflaminlo.

All four of them love cookie cats with an undying passion. When sunstone, rainbow, and smoky discovered they were going to stop being made, they all silently mourned together before going to buy the rest that they could find. When Steven sings the cookie cat jingle, they want to join in, but decide to just let him sing. When Stevens eating the cookie cat that helps him discover his powers, rainbow, sunstone, and smoky are all eating a cookie cat too.

Unlike Pearl, rainbow loves eating, he doesn’t eat as much as cannon amethyst, but he does have breakfast, lunch, and dinner along with everyone else, along with the occasional snack. Rose is the one that taught him about eating.  Unlike cannon, before steven gets his powers, he does end up going to school. This means he only really goes on missions on the weekends, but he doesn’t mind. All three gems and Greg do their best to help steven with his schoolwork. They all agreed that for the sake of Stevens school life, that Greg be the one to drive steven to school. After a while, rainbow started flying steven to school sometimes.  rainbow 2.0 was still devoted to rose/pink, but not in a love kind of way. He wasn’t as loyal as Pearl, but still greatly cared for rose/pink as a great friend, and was willing to help her with the rebellion.

when rose first taught sunstone about eating, sunstone was prone to only eating sweets cause she liked how they tasted. Rose and Greg were the ones that taught her about eating a balanced diet, and how she would discover more foods that she liked that way. They were right, and now sunstone teaches about a balanced diet to Steven. Sunstone still eats a balanced diet to this day, and greatly enjoys it over just eating sweets. She makes sure the others maintain a balanced diet as well, especially steven, due to him being half human and her technically being his step-mom.

they were a little more excepting of steven and tried to be more involved in a positive when he was a baby, but they were overall still pretty sad.

They didn’t kidnap him. Rainbow had thought about it, but sunstone talked him out of it. She was worried steven would remember it and it would make him not trust them. Rose would definitely have been disappointed if they did that it was something she wouldn’t have wanted. She would have wanted them to help Greg raise steven, not take him away. Also sunstone genuinely wanted to care for Steven and knew the others did too, they were just grieving.

I decided to expand upon an AU @fflaminlo made about Sunstone, Rainbow 2.0, and smoky Quartz being stevens parents. (Please check out their art for it, it explains it a lot better.)

So my idea is that the three of them were created to be special homeworld experiments to see if they could create a strong singular gem person with multiple gemstones. Only these three were successfully created.  Sunstone was created to be part of blue diamonds court. Once Blue became displeased with sunstone and threatened to lock her away and rejuvenate her, sunstone ran away to earth.

It was decided that Rainbow 2.0 should go to pink diamond, cause they thought she deserved something special. Rainbow 2.0 replaces pink Pearl when pink Pearl is broken.

Smoky Quartz was the result of the diamonds trying to see if one could be created on earth. They considered them a failure when they didn’t come out. But they did pop out eventually, just later and smaller than they were supposed to.

Unlike the cannon crystal gems, these three hang out a lot more before he got his powers. When he did get his powers and he could control them properly, they started letting him come on more missions, as long as they were safe for him. They always give him a goodbye hug if he has to stay behind.

They tell him more things and hide less. Though they still keep secrets and don’t tell him super serious or really bad stuff. Steven still learns that rose was pink diamond the same way, though.

When they find out about rose being pink, smoky and rainbow react similarly to how amethyst and Pearl did. Sunstone, on the other hand, runs off to the fountain in a rage. Instead of a snow storm, sunstone is sitting with her feet in the water, her rage causing it to bubble. Rainbow and Steven go to calm her down and bring her home. 

While they are doing that, smoky is sulking in stevens bed. Once rainbow, steven, and sunstone come back, they all work together to cheer smoky up.  bismuth comes back after the four of them have a talk about rose being pink. They decide that she has the right to know. All four of them talk her about it.

The way steven gets cat Steven is similar, but instead of steven and sunstones adventure being about future vision, it’s about sunstone wanting to be better, for herself, for rainbow and smoky, and especially for Steven. Steven comforts her by saying that changing is fine, but she shouldn’t push and/or force herself to be how she isn’t.  (@fflaminlo​, if you see this tell me what you think. If you want to, that is.)

“Yeah, I am!” She seemed pretty happy that he noticed. “I’m Blue sunstone actually, though that’s probably pretty obvious. Here’s my gem, by the way.” She shows him her left palm, which has a oval shaped, midnight blue gemstone with silver sparkles. 

“That’s so cool!”  Steven grinned at the blue sunstone nestled in the palm of her left hand.  “I’ve never seen one like this!”

After all his gawking, however, he smiled up at Blue Sunstone. She had come here for a reason, after all, so he may as well find out. He gestured to Little Homeschool currently surrounding them.

“I take it you’re here for Little Homeschool, right?”

She walked up excitedly. She heard quite a bit about him from other homeworld gems, and even blue diamond. And now that she had decided to stay on earth, she thought he was the best person to go to. “Um, hi! You must be steven!”

“Heya! That’s right, I’m your local resident Steve-o here to help! Who might you be?”  He gave her a look up and down, scanning her form for a gem. It reminded him of Sunstone, his fusion with Garnet. He beamed a big grin at her.  “You’re a Sunstone!?”

It’s a new character, as I wanted to see what I could do with this character. If you decide to check it out, I hope you enjoy it.  Important note: this blog isn’t ending. I’m still going to update and use this one. So both blogs are still in use.

I had a bit of a nightmare last night, so I thought drawing some vent art and talking about it might help. The art helped a little, but I’m still a bit shaken up. I was dark and cold, and there were hundreds of glowing, red eyes just staring at me. They followed me wherever I went. When I tried to escape, they started whispering gibberish. I swore I could hear it in my own head, even when I tried to block it out. Then it got louder and louder, and the eyes got brighter and brighter, until it was too much and I woke up shaking and crying. I’ve never had any sort of nightmare like this before. I’ve never been so afraid before. Usually my nightmares aren’t so bad. I tried doing some research. It said that nightmares like this meant being afraid of being criticized or judged, but I’m not worried about those things at all. I’m just really confused by all of this.
