What’s their favorite childhood memory? Why?, How would your character describe themselves? What do they think are their most defining traits? Is this view of themselves accurate to reality?

I’m a gem, I never had a childhood. So, I’ll just tell you about my favorite memory in general. Which would be, surprisingly, when blue diamond gave me the nickname sparkles. It made me feel special, like I was different to her, like a really meant something to her. I know she only tried it because pink did, and she thought it would help her feel better, but still, it was nice.

I would describe myself as a friend to others, willing to help others as long as they’re nice and not trying to hurt me or anyone else.  I think my most defining traits are my freckles and calm nature. For the freckles, I’m the only gem I’ve seen so far that has them. As for my calm nature, you need to be able to be calm and patient when you’re a therapist, so you can just listen to what your patient says so you can try to help them. I may not be a therapist anymore, but I did discover that I’m just a naturally calm person, not just because I’m a former therapist.

I think my view of myself is accurate to reality. I try to be who I truly can be, not letting my former therapist job define my personality and existence.

How did you react to first hearing that it's now era 3? How did you react to the announcement??

It was definitely a surprise. Imagine after being blue diamonds therapist for your whole life, and that being the reason you even exist, you’re suddenly told “hey, it’s a new era! You don’t have to be a therapist anymore, you can go do whatever you want now! Heck, you don’t even have to stay on homeworld if you don’t want to! Also hey guess what, pink diamond never died! She just didn’t like it here and ran off to earth to live a new life on earth with a whole new identity. Also she’s gone now cause she gave up herself for her half-human half-gem son! Who the diamonds respect now cause he talked to them!” It was a lot to take in. I decided to stay on homeworld for a bit after the announcement, just following around Blue diamond, blue Pearl ended up doing the same. I got really sad and cried for a bit while I was trying to understand it all. The whole reason I even existed was to be Blue diamonds therapist because the diamonds thought they lost pink, and blue diamond was taking it the hardest. But pink wasn’t dead, she never was, she just tricked the other diamonds. For a while, I felt like my existence was useless. I ended up gaining the courage to talk to blue diamond about it. She explained that I genuinely did help her, and that we all thought we lost pink, we were all tricked. That’s why everything that happened, happened. She told me my existence wasn’t useless, not even close. She suffered real trauma from the event, and I genuinely helped her though it and helped her feel better. I had never seen such a caring side of Blue diamond before, it was nice.

 After a while of having what Blue diamond said on my mind and taking in all that happened and what it all meant, I started to think about earth. I had only heard about it from blue diamonds therapy sessions when she talked about it, but it seemed really interesting. Apparently, it was really different from homeworld, with creatures I had never even heard of. I thought going there would be a nice break from everything, and give me a chance to truly explore myself, to try and see who I truly am and what I truly want for myself, to expand my life, mind, and identity beyond being blue diamonds former therapist. That’s how I got my current outfit.

I think it been going really well so far. I feel so much better and so much more free. I’m truly starting to feel like my own person, it’s wonderful! I feel so much more alive now!

Did Blue Diamond ever call you Sparkles by accident? I'm asking about outside your sessions by the way, I know those are confidential.

She did actually, once or twice. Luckily it was always right after the session when she was leaving, so only Blue pearl ever heard. They never commented about it before, but that makes sense. Blue got annoyed at herself for doing it though.

Wow sparkles is a very cute nickname! Who gave it to you?

Thank you! If I remember correctly, I actually got the nickname from Blue diamond herself. She was talking to me about pink diamond, and how she gave things silly little nicknames. She thought that if maybe she tried it, it would help her feel better. So she picked me up for a moment and pointed out my freckles and how they glow and sparkle a little, so she decided to give me the nickname sparkles. She didn’t call me it often though, had to stay professional, and she is a diamond. She calls me it more often when I visit now that it’s era 3.

I’m definitely excited to share more of my experiences on earth with you all. I hope we can continue to still learn more about each other!

I just tried a cookie cat for the first time, steven made some for the gems in little homeworld and offered me one. It’s cold, but really good.

Well, I just experienced my first thunderstorm yesterday. While it was a great learning experience about earth weather, the thunder wasn’t so fun. I didn’t expect it to be so loud. Definitely scared me the first time I heard it, but I did get used to it after a while. Luckily, I was in my room and not outside when it started, so I stayed dry.

Oh, thank you! That’s very nice of you to say. And no, no one has before. Blue diamond did call me helpful a few times, though.

Why's you move to Little Homeworld?

Once I heard about it, I realized it would be a good place to stay while I learned about earth. I had lived on homeworld for so long, I wanted to try something new and different. 

Where is your gemstone? When you drew yourself it didn't show up.

Oh, I’m sorry. When drew that I knew it probably wouldn’t show. My gem is on my left palm, but I’m right handed.

I’ve decided to take on my own personal project and attempted to draw my own gem. I think it’s accurate.

I’ve decided to also post some recent artwork I’ve recently finished. I’ve been taking an art class in little homeschool. The classes teacher, lapis, had asked us to try and draw ourselves. I may not be an artist, but I think I put in my best effort.

Life Cycle of a Peridot

Hi, so there's my Tiny Gems AU again. I love these little guys so much. Think of them as a mix between plant and insect (inspired by ants and leaf sheep. If you don't know what a Leaf Sheep is I implore you to search it now! :D)

This is kind of a gemling Au but not really since gems still emerge from walls and the diamond are the only ones with essence to make them (like queen bees) Young Gems need to eat materials that have minerals related to their gem, but after that they only need sunlight to live. Gems are still immortal but commonly fall prey to falling boulders and large organics. They just get gobbled up. (Our Peridot is spoiled though, don't worry about her.)

Lapis’s Room is a museum. I referenced the episode with a room full of hour glasses and Pearl’s room.

Lapis is friends with Greg & Vidalia, like Amethyst, she’s more prone to Human activities.

This Lapis design belongs to @lapis-not-lazuli and the peridot is mine. I feel like they would get along. Just two little creatures <3
