Just finished a collab with the amazing @cringe-but-freee !!!!! I did the Mule and she did Daneel!!

Found them, the "Second Foundation" quotes from where it derives that the Mule is 27 in "Foundation and Empire".

I knew he was around that age, but needed proof.

The second quote is so sad though. It makes it obvious that the Mule is no longer Magnifico.

It also struck me that some of the most talented musicians died at 27... like Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse. And in a sense, Magnifico also died.

If people were relatively well under his reign, why is he called a tyrant? Just because he disrupted the plan of a long dead guy (albeit a genius)?

Thanks for this reblog, glad you liked the expression! Also, your Take me on Bayta's name wants to make me share mine! I personally think Bayta name May be a Reference to "Beta", the second greek letter in the alphabet, that in various things can be used also to name stars in a constellations. Like if you search any constellations You'll find the Stars named as "Constellations name declined in latin + Greek letter in the alphabet". Also there are the Beta radiation in physic!

But this Is Just my take on It, I think yours Is really interesting as well and I'm glad you left It under my art!

I've find a way to work with Lines that satisfies me After being unhappy with my art for a while, so I'm doing a bunch of Icons with Asimov characters

Starting with Bayta and Magnifico, I'll do more cause they are really fun to do!

I've been working on an Han Pritcher redesign and the group came up with this concept.

Concept that Pritcher and Channis wake up extremely early to get ready for the day and then put on each other make up, Magnifico walks in and goes "Damn Pritcher you were supposed to fight him, not making him look pretty" and Proceeds to joins them and puts on his clown make up.

So uhhm the other Day I listened to this song that reminded me of Han Pritcher and the Mule at the start of Second Foundation, so I drew it

5) What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

"Hit The Road Jack" by Ray Charles for a variety of reasons.

First of all, the instruments played. I associate certain musical instruments with characters and some that are played in the song are associated to Raych and his family. Second, the part "You're the meanest old woman I've ever seen" reminds me that piece of convo Raych and Dors have in Prelude that goes something like "You are a mean old lady!" "I'm a mean old lady great with knives". And third, it reminds me of the last scout summer camp, we blasted it at least once a day so

9) Could you be roommates with this character?

I'd say fifty fifty. It depends on day Trevize has really. But I would try being there and positive if I were on the Far Star (II).

25) What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Oof this is a funny one. Magnifico is in the trio with Hummin and Comporollen of "Things I said as a joke until It wasn't a joke anymore in the Foundation series".

My first reaction was "Ah ah little funky clown :D... Imagine if he was actually evil lmao"

Then I got to the point of him playing music and saw how that influenced everyone's feelings and went "I'm connecting the dots, I think Magnifico is actually The Mule for real"
