I'm trying to find a story I might have read on Tumblr that goes like this:
A knight makes a deal with an ragged, eldritch looking "king" that sits on atop a throne somewhere and when he fulfills his end of the deal, to take the "king's" place, he realizes that he was the king all along and now has to make that same deal with his younger self.

A Fresh Start
As the Prolonging the Prologue project has grown, I’ve found it harder and harder to manage housing the project and my personal blog in the same space. So, after quite a bit of unnecessary paralysis, I’ve done the only reasonable thing and split the account in two.
You can now find my personal Tumblr here! And from here-on-out, this will be the official home of Prolonging the Prologue on Tumblr. Still expect plenty of nonsense, it’ll just be PtP flavored nonsense ^-^

I have a little idea about time and how it functions, I have little to no evidence and raw imagination to fuel it. I'm 16 and running on about 6 hours of sleep from the past two days, so Sue me if it ain't making sense. i will not be formal. Do not expect that of me. I reckon time is like a film strip, but like 3d. Or sorta like a paused video. Each frame or moment existing constantly and not changing at all unless you look at the next slide. I mean, sorta like stop motion except smaller? I mean like imagine how each pixel has a specific colour, and as a whole, they make a picture, yes? well, each pixel is a cube of some sorts that make a larger cube. Do you see where I'm going with this? am I making sense? please tell me if you understand, i am aware that it's so incredibly obvious and stupid, but like, nuh uh.

Patience.
Patience was never a virtue I thought I had. I mean sure, I have enough patience to wait for my Amazon package to arrive or the will power to not open a Christmas present early. But waiting for things to change, for things to change in my current life’s state, is difficult.
Waiting for that kind of change is so hard. You work towards the change to the best of your ability, but there is no end date or estimated time of arrival. With Amazon packages, you have tracking notifications. With Christmas presents, you know it occurs on the same day every year. But with life, no one knows. The only think I know is I’m still trying and I’m trying to make progress.
But how far I’m getting, how much closer I am, I wish I knew.
Time.
Time is a funny thing. It could mean everything. Or it could mean nothing.

Time is a funny thing. We both love and hate it. There are days and moments when we wished the time would go by faster (for instance, while we are waiting at the DMV). However, there are moments when we wished time could stand still or go slower so we could cherish that moment longer.
