Trying to get this movement up to speed.

Doing some metronome work with Rodrigo’s Fandango. It is easy to speed up the quarterly chords if you’re not careful. Likewise, it can be hard not to slow everything else down.
I am recording and using the metronome all on my phone here. My house is much improved since Hurricane Michael, but most things are still boxed up. One day I’ll find my metronome.

Had a lot to say about this video, but also had several issues while trying up upload the video to Tumblr. Annoying.
Day 3.
Trying to get better about posting videos with painful mistakes. Responsibility. Tarrega and Legnani here.

A little bit of Orbon’s preludio. Haven’t focused on this piece in a while. I tend to be a little too bright on some notes.
I changed my strings not many days ago, but I think I already need to change them. I think that, after playing on carbon trebles for so long then switching to light ej43’s, I’m a little surprised at how fast my strings wear out not.
Tomorrow I plan to do a video where the Preludio leads into the Danza “alla attacca”.

Day 12
Still feeling sick, but found the strength to make a little excerpt of a piece by Julian Orbon: Preludio y Danza.
Need to put on new strings and new nails. Need to maintain my repertoire better 😞

This is the fifth and sixth variations from Luis Milan by Joaquin Nin-Culmell. Wanted to redo the sixth one, because I was super tired when I made the recording last night.
Starting practice after you’ve already been up and doing things for 10-12 hours is hard and taxing on even hoping for decent practice.

These get hard after you practice them for several minutes.

Final variation on Milan’s sixth pavan by Joaquin Nin-Culmell.
I’m less than half pleased with this recording, but, given the duties I have taken on lately, that’s all I had time for today.
Enjoy my suffering. Lol

I’ve been worried about school everyday since my home was hit by Hurricane Michael last October. I had hoped to graduate in May, back before the storm hit. It’s over a year now and I’m still living in a travel trailer. There have been many hurricane-recovery-related tasks that have greatly interfered with my practice and studies in school. I’m even more worried now.
Anyway, I’m doing some slow practice here in this video. Beginning to commit the piece to memory. It’s easy to find where I have trouble with memory here (jolts in the performance). I have taken note of these instances and will work them out.
