i've been thinking about the lore lately and made these two things that might come in a future update:

what program do you use to create music for your games?

I mainly use Musescore 4 for music composition. I also sometimes use flat.io for quickly testing out ideas.

introducing our player character:

as you can see, it is very easy to tell that it's the player character. it even has "PLAYER" written on it. it also helpfully show what is and isn't the hitbox!

lore: this thing appeared some day for some reason and started killing monsters for no reason because that makes the best stories. it then started killing NPCs but that doesn't matter because they aren't alive in the first place. it then broke into reality and is attempting to find your exact coordinates.

hello and welcome to another devlog for fcdesert.

i added more lore because we know the best way to tell a story within a video game

also i made 2 new items

dodging charm:

when you equip this item, you can sometimes dodge enemy's attacks, with the disadvantage where you take 1.5x damage.

black bow:

this is the most powerful bow in the game, it shoots 4 of your arrows in all directions and it deals double the damage of your sword.

the sequel for this game is already being discussed (finish first game? HAHA TALK ABOUT NEXT GAME GO BRRRRRRRRRRR)

Beyond the Rize 2 devlog 18

after finishing the early access i decided to take a little break. so almost nothing has been done.

made a new soundtrack:

that that is all. i have been talking with one of my friends and he wanted to make a game. so i will have less time to work on this

new npc:

he appears after you defeat the lich boss

you can also talk to him:

he sells a potion upgrade that will make potions heal 15 health instead of 10, it costs 25 potions.

Current development in a nutshell:

added some graphical stuff for combat (the computer that i recorded this on was slow, so you might not see it, but the thing that took damage will disappear for 0.05 seconds)

new enemys are currently in progress. act II will be very difficult.
