I forgot you can like actually interact with people online lmao
Trying to become obsessed with self care the way I was obsessed with self destruction.
i do not know who else needs to hear this aside from just me but i am writing it down because it helps:
there is no weight limit for liking your body.
there is no rule that says if you’re over a certain bmi you have to hate yourself. you’re not required to think you’re ugly if you’re not skinny, and you’re not required to want to lose weight.
you are allowed to not want to be thin.
this world we live in tells us that we should only like thin bodies and therefore should only like ourselves if we are thin. but your body is yours, and nobody should get to tell you what to think about it.
give yourself permission to love it.
As a young black girl I honestly don’t think I’ll ever feel attractive until I start sexualizing myself. But even if I do that I’ll be objectively ugly regardless and this also applies to how much weight I loose, how much makeup I’ll learn to cake my face with, and the billions of hairstyles and wigs I’ll probably try, all of it will have the same outcome. A girl so ugly she can’t be fixed.
Hey, it's okay. You've been through a lot, your mind focusing on surviving, not leaving room for much else. You haven't lost yourself, not at all.
