Story Summary:  After college, you moved to L.A. to begin pursuing your dream in the movie industry. You started with an internship and worked your way into the position of stunt coordinator by the age of 25. Your life was finally working out, You were finishing the first week of training with the Marvel cast for "Avengers: Age of Ultron." You had it all put together until your younger sister took her life, left you full custody of her two-month-old daughter, and you found the love of your life. (Based of Chrisâs movie âGiftedâ)
Pairing: Chris Evans x Reader
Warnings: Mentions of suicide but no in depth details.
The first week of training with the cast was awesome. Everyone was open to your opinion on the different scenes. The cast themselves was something else. They welcomed you with open arms. You had worked with Chris Evans before on set of "Captain America: The First Avenger." It was nice to have a familiar face on set on the first day. The first week went by in a flash. Time flies when your having fun, isn't that the saying?
The week ended, and Chris invited you to join him and the rest of the cast for drinks. You debated on your answer until he flashed his signature smile, and you agreed. You were all sitting in a big corner booth, away from the front of the bar, laughing and joking. You sat between Chris and Scarlett. Chris was telling a story when your phone started ringing. You glanced down and noticed it was your mom. She never called that late, so you knew something was up. You excused yourself and slipped outside the bar to answer the phone.
While you were outside, the rest of the cast instantly gave Chris a look. "So, she is the girl from a couple a years ago?" Robert asked him. Chris raised his eyebrow and looked at him.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He said while a blush crept onto his cheeks.
The table erupted in laughter. "Well, even if it's not, the way you look at her obviously says you feel something." Scarlett smiled.Â
"I won't lie to you, she's cute, and she's kind-hearted, but she is also confident and bold and is not afraid to voice her opinion." Everyone at the table smiled at Chris's words.Â
You ended the call with your mother. The call was one, no one ever wants to receive in their life. Your sister had taken her life just two months after having a baby. Tears were streaming down your face as you walked to the table to retrieve your purse.Â
"Y/N, what's wrong?" Chris was the first to ask and the first to notice the tears. You wiped at your cheeks and sniffed. "Nothing, I just have to go." You said feeling bad for dampening the mood of the table.
Scarlett gave Chris a look. "Y/N, you can't drive home like this. At least let one of us drive you home." You didn't want to speak, knowing your voice would crack, so you nodded. Chris handed you your bag and wrapped his arm around your shoulder as he walked you out of the bar.Â
The two of you walked to your car. You passed him your keys before sliding into the passenger side of your vehicle. Your tears had stopped. Chris walked around to the driver's side and started the car.
"Y/N, I understand if you don't want to talk, but I want you to know that you can talk to me or Scarlett or any of us. We are a family." He placed his hand on your knee. How were you so lucky to have ended up in this friend group? You were just a stunt coordinator, not a big time actor.Â
You looked at him, and your walls collapsed. The tears started flowing, and a sob escaped. "My- my- my sister, she- she's dead." You gasped as the tears spilled over. Chris hugged you as best as he could, being separated by the console.
He didn't ask any more questions. He let you tell him what you wanted him to know. Your head was spinning, but it was calming to have Chris there holding you.
Once you felt you had calmed down, you pulled away. Chris took that as his cue to start driving. "Umm, exactly where is home for you?" Chris asked.
You took a breath and gave him your address. He nodded and started in the direction of your apartment complex. By the time he reached the parking lot, you had stopped crying. Your body was beginning to settle into the shock of the whole situation. Chris helped you out of the car and up to your apartment. He opened your door after figuring out the right key.Â
You started to feel like you were in a haze like it was all a dream. You were very close with your sister. You were two peas in a pod, you thought she told you everything.Â
Chris's voice drew you out of your head. "Scarlett is going to pick me up, but she said it may be an hour or so. They got caught by a crowd of fans." Chris said as he closed the door. You nodded and turned to go down the hall to your room. "So, if it's ok with you, I'm just going to hang out on the couch."Â
"I need to book a flight home." You mumbled out.
"What?" Chris walked towards you.Â
"I need to book a flight home." You repeated. Chris nodded and walked to your laptop on the kitchen counter. It was still open, so he took it upon himself to book you a flight. "Atlanta." You said as he began typing.Â
"The earliest flight to Atlanta is tomorrow at 5 p.m." Chris looked at you as you continued to stand in the hallway. "That's fine." You confirmed. Chris booked your flight, and without hesitation, he paid for the flight. He made his way over to you.Â
"You should go shower and try to clear your head," Chris said as he looked down at you. You could tell he was trying to help and comfort you, but without ever being faced with this problem, he was unsure of how to help. "I'll be on the couch if you need me." He gave you a soft smile.
It was a strange feeling you had. Even though you were barely friends, having Chris around was calming, and you could tell he was doing everything in his power to help even in uncharted waters.
You made your way into the bathroom and turned the water on, as hot as you could stand. You stripped and stepped under the steaming water. You stood under the water as it streamed down your body. Finally, after several minutes, you began to shower, washing your hair, then your body and your face.Â
You turned the water off and stepped out, grabbing a towel as you did. After wrapping up in the towel and staring at yourself in the mirror, you exited the bathroom and went to get dressed in your bedroom. Chris heard the open and closing of the doors.Â
Once you were dry and clothed, you went to the living room where Chris was still situated on the couch, scrolling through his phone. He looked over his shoulder at you and gave you a sympathetic smile. You joined him on the couch, sitting next to him. Chris wrapped his arm over your shoulder and held you to him. "I'm so sorry about your sister. I know me saying that doesn't fix anything, but I'm here if you want me to be."
You looked up at Chris, your eyes bloodshot and starting to swell. You could also feel a throb building in your head from all the crying you had done in the last hour.Â
âWe have known each other for four years, we just became real friends this week and you are somehow giving me a sense of peace and comfort I really need right now.â You laid your head on his shoulder as he held you tightly.Â
âIâll stay as long as you need me.â Chris whispered.Â
âThank you.â You said lowly. The tears slowly started flowing again. âIâm sorry.â Your tears ran onto Chrisâs shirt.
âY/N, you have nothing to be sorry about.â He said to you. âI canât imagine what youâre feeling right now.â
Before you could respond, Chris received a text. âScarlett is outside.â He said. You pulled yourself away from Chris and wiped your tears.
âOh, yeah itâs late and youâre probably ready to escape from the emotional wreck that is me.â You said.
âAre you sure youâre ok? I could-â He stopped himself. He was going to say he could stay but he realized that would be a little forward.
You took a breath. âNo, Iâm not ok.â You looked at him as he stood. Chris felt kind of stupid after he asked that, but he didnât know what else to ask. âBut I know I donât want to be alone. You were going to say you could stay, right?â You flashed him the slightest smirk, and he couldnât help but smile. Chris knew this was the wrong situation to be making a move, but he hoped it was obvious.Â

After a two weeks spent in Sudbury with Chris, you and Olivia headed back to L.A. Chris insisted on coming back with you, but you talked him into staying a little while longer, since he doesnât get much time with his family when he was working.Â
Once you were back home for a few days, you started to plan Oliviaâs first birthday party. Her birthday was November 25 falling two days before Thanksgiving. Olivia didnât attend daycare so there were no children to really invite. The only children Olivia had been around for a significant amount of time were Chrisâs nieces and nephews. An idea popped into your head, so you called Chris.
âHey babe! What are you up to?â Chris asked.
âHey. I just started thinking about Oliviaâs birthday coming up. I want to plan a party for her, but the only kidâs she has really been around have been the kids in your family.âÂ
Before you could go on Chris interrupted you. âThey would love to celebrate Livieâs birthday!â Chris said excitedly.Â
âI know they would babe, but her birthday is two days before thanksgiving and that would be super hectic trying to travel from Boston to Los Angeles. And my parents are going to have to fly from Atlanta.â You let out an exasperated sigh.
âHey, donât stress. We will figure this out, ok?â He calmed you.
âYeah, ok.â You leaned back against your couch.Â
âI know you just got back, but what if you had Oliviaâs birthday here at my momâs house?â Chris offered. âMy family could be there and it would be a lot less travel time for your parents as well. We could have it the weekend before thanksgiving that way you and your parents could get back to Atlanta to have thanksgiving as a family or we could have one big thanksgiving together, totally up to you and your family.â
âChris, I couldnât ask that of your family.â You shook you head even though he couldnât see you.Â
âYou arenât asking. I am offering.â Chris said, and you know he had his signature smirk on his face. âIâll even ask my mom now if itâs ok with her.âÂ
Before you could put a stop to his actions, you hear him call out for his mom. You faintly heard him explain the proposition then you heard a gasp. âOh! I would love to have Oliviaâs party here and meet her family. She is such a sweetheart, I can only imagine what her parents are like.âÂ
âMa, she is on the phone.â Chris told her.
âShe is? Let me speak with her.â Lisa took the phone from Chrisâs hand and placed it to her ear.Â
âY/N, hun, I would love to help you with Oliviaâs party and have you and your parents over for thanksgiving.â Lisa happily said.Â
âThank you, Miss Lisa. I really donât want to impose on your family during the holidays. Maybe I could celebrate with my parents then bring Olivia to Sudbury to celebrate with yâall.â You explained to Lisa.Â
âI promise you wouldnât be imposing. The more the merrier around here, but I also understand where you are coming from. Why donât you talk it over with you parents then get back with Chris or myself?â Lisa stated.Â
âYes maâam, will do.â You smiled.Â
Lisa bid you goodbye then gave the phone back to Chris.Â
âSo, how does thanksgiving in Massachusetts sound?â Chris said with a laugh.Â
âChris, I just donât know. I feel like Iâm mooching off you and your family if I take your offer.âÂ
âYouâre not mooching.â Chris said flatly. â My family really likes you. I donât think they would offer that to just anyone, Y/N.âÂ
âJust let me talk to my parents, and I will let you know.â You told Chris.Â
âAlright, Iâll talk to you later. I love you!â Chris said.
âI love you too.â You responded before ending the call.Â
You let out an exaggerated sigh and through your head back. âWhat are we going to do Livie?â
Olivia just babbled in response.Â
A little while later, you called your mom. When you explained Chrisâs offer to her, she agreed that it would be a good idea. She wasnât too sure on the thanksgiving part, but letting Olivia celebrate with both families would be best. She knew Chris had become a fundamental part of Oliviaâs life and yours, so how could she not let him be apart of her first birthday.Â
After your phone call with your mom, you called Chris back to tell him that your parents agreed to having Oliviaâs party in Sudbury. Chris had met your parents briefly when they visited you and Olivia in New York while filming. You were still nervous for his whole family to meet them.
After a few weeks of planning, you and Lisa had everything ready for Oliviaâs birthday. Lisa had the idea for the theme to be donuts, and it turned out super cute. Lisa ordered a cake for Olivia to smash, one to eat, and tons of donuts of all flavors.Â
You and Olivia flew back to Boston two days before the party. The day before the party your parents flew in. You, Olivia, and Chris picked them up from the airport and took them to eat before taking them to their hotel.Â
The day of the party arrived and it was all about Olivia. You couldnât ask for anything better. Chris went to pick up your parents while you got Olivia dressed. You didnât know there was an underlying reason for Chris wanting to go alone.Â
He left earlier than needed to pick up your parents, but he had a plan. Before bringing them back to the house he stopped at a small cafe to have coffee with your parents.Â
You parentâs sat down at a small table with Chris after receiving their order.Â
âChris, is there any particular reason youâve brought us here?â Your mother, Tara, asked.Â
âYes maâam there is.â He said. To your parents it was obvious he was nervous about something and they had an inkling of what it might be. Chris took a deep breath and wiped his hands on his jeans. âMr. and Mrs. Y/L/N, I know Y/N and I have only been officially together for a few months, but Iâve known her for several years. This year having her in my life has been the best thing I could have asked for.â He took another breath. âShe is an amazing woman. She loves everyone she meets no matter what, she is loyal, kind, smart, compassionate, and beautiful. I canât imagine the rest of my life with out her or Olivia.â He looks you father straight in the eyes. âI would like your permission to ask her marry to marry me.âÂ
Your parents were in awe of Chrisâs speech about you. They can see the love for not only you but also for Olivia pouring out of him. They look at each other and smile.Â
âYou have our permission.â You father, Shane, answered.Â
Chrisâs smile could have split his face it was so wide. âThank you!â He said with a sigh of relief.Â
They still had some time before they needed to be back, so your mother asked. âDo you have an idea of when you would like to ask her?âÂ
âWell, I would really like to do it soon. I am not the best secret keeper.â He laughed softly. âI would like to ask her on thanksgiving, so I would really like it of you two joined our family for thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.âÂ
Your mother pursued her lips. âSince you are going to propose, we will stay.â Your mom smiled. Chris smiled victoriously, his plan was coming together perfectly.Â
They continued their conversation for just a few more minutes then it was time to head home for the party.Â
Chris and your parents arrived forty-five minutes before the start time of the party. Lisaâs house was decorated beautifully for the occasion. Streamers and balloons were every where, along with pictures of Olivia that Lisa had acquired from Chris.Â
You walked down the stairs with Olivia in your arms, she was bathed and ready for the party. She was a little cranky about the tutu she had on, but she was slowly calming down.Â
Your mom gasped at Oliviaâs outfit and immediately went to take her from you. You smiled and passed her over. You gave Chris a question look, he responded with a nonchalant shrug.Â
Once your mom was finished gushing about Oliviaâs outfit, you lead them into the kitchen to meet Lisa.Â
Lisa and your parents hit it off. They fell into easy conversation as your mom started to help Lisa with the finishing touches of the decorations.Â
It was finally party time and Carly and Shana both showed up with the rest of the kids. The children were in awe of all the sweets laid out in front of them. Scott arrived with armfuls of gifts.Â
âScott! You did not!â You gasped as he set the gift bags down.Â
âI absolutely did!â He smirked. Scott took Olivia from Chrisâs arms and gave her a kiss on the cheek.Â
The party continued. Your mom placed the small cake on the tray of the high chair for Olivia to smash. Before you let her destroy the cake, you mom wanted a picture. You put Olivia in the high chair and stood just to the side for the picture.
âChris get in there!â You mom motioned with her hand.Â
He couldnât help the smile that beamed across his face. He joined the picture then allowed Olivia to dig in to her cake.Â
Everyone gathered around to watch Olivia smash her cake, and smashed it was. She had frosting all over her arms and face. You all snapped pictured of the happy birthday girl as she licked the cake and frosting from her hands.Â
The official party ended after two or so hours. With everyone around clean up didnât take much time. The left over food was all stored away and the decorations were taken down. All of Oliviaâs gifts had been placed in the corner of the living room for her to play with later. The kids had crashed from their sugar highs and were napping in the playroom on pallets.Â
All the adults gathered around the living room to enjoy the quiet. Scott, Chris and your dad watched a football game while all the women just laid around.Â
âMiss Lisa, I canât thank you enough for everything. It was absolutely beautiful!â You told her as you looked through your pictures.Â
âOh, hun, it was not a big deal! It was nice to do the planning and have the party here. It reminded me of having my own childrenâs parties here.â She smiled at you.Â
The rest of the evening was quiet. Everyone laid around and munched on party food. You leaned against Chris not thinking of anything other than the day you had. Chris looked as if he was focused on the game on tv, but really his sole focus was planning the perfect proposal with just a few short days.Â

Heres another Seth Rollins one shot! This one is longer than the other ones Iâve posted, Iâm proud for making it longer.
@iwritewwe
A/N: if you want to be tagged in my future imagines let me know!
You canât believe it, Seth just won the Intercontinental Championship. He really did it. Seth had told you he wasnât gonna win and you had finally accepted it, because in your eyes he should win every match. Thatâs only because the business was still new to you.
You watched the match from ringside alongside his mom and step dad. You winced every time Seth took a hit. Finally when he was in the corner hyping himself up you knew it had to be a lie. Finn was out and Miz is setting himself up to take the stomp.
He stomped Mizâs head into the canvas and pinned him for the three count. You shot up from your seat, screaming. You watched as his hand was raised and he took the title from the referee. He celebrated by slinging the title around and showing it off to the crowd. You had tears in your eyes as you hugged his mom tight.
Seth finally starts making his way up the ramp and security walks to you and his parents. They escort you backstage.
You get close to the gorilla where you can hear cheers and congratulations. You quickly make your way towards the sounds. You get there and you see Seth receiving hugs and claps on the shoulder.
Somehow the smile on your face grows bigger. Seth finally gets through the sea of people and sees you from a distance. You take off towards him, he opens his arms and wraps you up tight. You wrap your arms around his neck, not caring that you are getting all sweaty.
âYou know youâre a jerk right?â You mumble into his neck.
He laughs and pulls away from you. âWell I had to make it a surprise. Itâs no fun when you know the outcome.â
You lightly punch his shoulder, he winces as if it really hurt. âWellâ You canât think of anything to say as you look up at his new icy blue eyes and rest your hand on his newly won title slung proudly over his shoulder.
You can only think of how much you love this man standing in front of you. How he would do anything for you and vice versa. This amazing, caring and wonderful guy was choosing to be with you and you werenât sure why. You just couldnât bring tryout self to tell him how much you love him.
âWhatâs going on in that pretty little head of yours?â He asks pulling you from your own thoughts.
âNothing, just admiring your title.â You smile. âCongratulations baby, you deserve it.â You say standing on your toes to press your lips to his.
He kisses back and wraps one arm around your waist, pulling you against him. You pull away to look at him. âGo talk with your mom, sheâs been waiting to see you.â
He nods and pulls himself away from you. He walks over and hugs his mom tightly.
You have talked with Seth about say âI love youâ and told him that it was difficult for you to open it and say it if you werenât sure you were meaning it. Seth understood and told you to take your time. Two days after you went out on your first date, you knew he was your one. He is your one and only. You justin couldnât bring yourself to tell him because what if he didnât think the same. What if to him youâre not his one? You canât handle the rejection if that was the truth.
Except that wasnât the truth by a long shot. The man knew knew the day he met you that you were his one and only and that he would wait as long as you needed him to.
He comes back after a few minutes and lays his arm over your shoulder. You smile up at him. âIâm loving the blue eyes, even if they were a little creepy at first.â You laugh.
He laughs and kisses your temple. âWell I have you to thank for the idea. It made the entrance.â He smiles.
âI couldnât let you walk out there with that amazing custom background and the awesome costume and not have the finishing touch of the eyes. The eyes is one of the awesome features of a White Walker.â You smile, moving your hand to hold his over your shoulder.
He just shakes his head and laughs. âYeah whatever.â You laugh softly and lay your head on his shoulder.
You two walk to his locker room, he lays his title belt down on a chair. âIâm gonna take a shower.â He says grabbing his bag. You nod and sit on the couch.
He walks to the bathroom and you wait for the water to turn on before getting up and grabbing his title. You throw it over your shoulder and looks at yourself in the mirror.
âOh look at me, Iâm the Intercontinental champion.â You say mocking Seth. You snap the belt around your waist and continue to look at yourself.
You are so caught up in yourself, you donât hear the water shut off. You keep admiring the title around your waist. You were running your fingers over the gold plating when you hear Sethâs voice. âYou make that title baby girl.â
You jump and turn around to face him, your face a bright shade of red. Heâs on in a pair of sweatpants as he walks over to you. You reach behind you to take the belt off.
âNo, no, no! Leave it on, I want a picture of my girl in my belt.â He says grabbing his phone. Your heart speeds up when he calls you his girl.
âSeth no! No pictures.â You whine.
âYes pictures! Now strike a pose.â He laughs.
You shake your head and do you best pose to imitate Seth. âIs that supposed to be me?â He asks.
âMaybe.â You laugh. He lays his phone down and walks to you. He wraps his arms around your waist and leans down, capturing your lips in a sweet, gentle kiss. He pulls away and rest his forehead against yours. âI love you baby girl, I just want you know. If youâre not ready to say-â
âI love you too Seth.â You say cutting him off. âIâve known since two days after we started dating, but I was just to afraid to say it because I though you wouldnât feel the same.â
âAre you kidding me Y/N? Iâve known since the day I laid eyes on you that I loved you. I know one day that Iâm gonna marry you and spend the rest of my life making you happy, no matter what I have to do.â
You tear up at his words. He brings his hands up to cup your cheeks. He wipes the tears away with his thumbs. âDonât cry baby, tonight supposed to be a happy night.â
âI know it is, Iâm just emotional. You just won the IC title and youâre telling me this. These are happy tears, promise.â You say sniffing and looking up at his now brown eyes, the ones that truly melt your heart.
âGood.â
âNow youâre a grand slam champion.â You say smiling.
âBaby I hit my grand slam the day you agreed to go out with me.â He says before kissing you.
Before you know it, your back is against the wall as you and Seth share a heated kiss. Your hands move all over his bare chest as his slide up your sides. He pulls away for a second.
âI canât wait to get you back to the hotel. Iâm gonna show you how a grand slam champ does things.â He whispers in your ear just before sucking on your sweet spot just under your ear.
A chill runs down your spine when you feel his breath on your ear. âI canât wait Grand Slam Rollins.â You giggle.
âMm I love the sound of that coming from you.â He says before roughly kissing you.
I just read all the parts of unexpected gifts and i'm in love so far! You're doing amazing
*starts crying*
Thank you so much! That means the world!â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
