because hey that’s what a therian is!

to say you don’t identify as a therian because you just ARE that animal is to say that therians AREN’T really the animal they claim to be. which is so wrong. to say you don’t like the term therian because it’s ‘too human’ is so insensitive.

therians are not necessarily human! someone calling themself a therian in no way makes them human! equating therians with humans is weird!

stop treating us like we are human, stop trying to separate ‘really being an animal’ from being a therian. they are the same thing. you’re not superior or different to us because you “really are that animal”. we all are.

I mostly try and stay off of Tumblr too much when I'm age regressed cause I never know what I'll see cause not everything is tagged well and stuff.

However, I am on rn while regressed, lol. I wanna talk about memories [happier ones] to do with agere in my life as Zuki.

While I am very much in a partly regressed partly not most of the time in this life, I could fully regress most of the time in my life as Zuki.

When I was regressed, I liked to be called pup by a few people that I gave permission to. Dad and pa had permission as did Toshi and Zuku. Also Kari and Kats, lol.

Kats rarely called me pup though and it wasn't around others really, reputation or something like that, lol.

Being called pup always helped me with regressing as well, so it was pretty much just used when I was already regressed or wanting or needing to regress, lol.

Dad would be able to tell when I needed to regress even if I said I didn't want or need to, lol. He would usually call me pup when he noticed, and then I would regress almost instantly. Sometimes, I would say I wasn't little when I was regressed, lol.

Pa had a harder time seeing through my lies or whatever you wanna call them, lol. But was very great when I was regressed and he knew about it.

Zuku had an even easier time knowing this stuff than dad did cause he knew me longer and stuff. The first person to know about my regression and one of my favorites to go to.

Toshi, like pa, had a hard time knowing this stuff. But was amazing when he took care of me when I was little.

Kari knew almost as much as Zuku, lol. Kari also regressed sometimes [as did Zuku and Toshi and some others], so that helped. They were one of the ones I loved being around best while regressed, but all the ones mentioned are the best ones I loved being around, lol.

Kats knew a little less than Zuku but about the same as dad. He was also cool to be around while I was little, although you probably wouldn't guess that, lol.

This is all I'm gonna mention rn, so yeah.

i've done my best to reblog helpful things, to use this blog to help with the fear and pain and grief. Btw, in case you didn't realize, our post was not an "attack" or hate to you. We are also autistic (and adhd).

We get where you are coming from, and we once again mostly agree with you.

This is coming from beings that don't use therian or otherkin as our labels, btw. We mostly use nonhuman (as well as alterhuman and transspecies).

We also want body mods and social transition in more than just wearing "gear." (We can't get that yet, just as we can't get that with us being under the trans umbrella cause of our family). And we would love to see social transition talked about way more as well!

We just also wanted to point at that while species transition isn't all about gear, that it also can be about gear for some.

(We do, in a way, consider anything that affirms our gender and species "transitional" to us, although not everyone would. So clothes to us is a way to "transition").

This is so true!!

We don't believe we have DID or OSDD, but we are plural, and it does seem like our trauma affected our plurality.

We won't argue with anyone trying to say that we actually have DID/OSDD. It doesn't even really matter to us that much whether we do or do not. All that really matters is that we are plural.

We have had our moments of thinking that our trauma wasn't "bad enough" and shit like that. So, this post definitely helps a bit.

Remember, comparing trauma is not good for anyone.

whenever I hear people say this I always wonder, what metric are you using? your tolerance for how things affect you now as a teenager, or adult?

something that you experienced as a child is going to use a completely different metric! a child's brain is much less developed than an adult's and what they're able to handle is much less. for instance maybe you like horror movies? you probably can watch them without even getting scared! but if you watched the same film at 7 years old it would likely be a lot different!!

you don't need extreme trauma in order to have DID. it just needed to be extreme enough to YOU as a child, that's all. You got bullied at school? that's enough to develop DID! you had a disorder from an early age that made life hard? that's enough to develop DID! your parents were neglectful? that's enough to develop DID!

there's no such thing as gold star DID you don't need to have gone through the worst of the worst. there's no need for trauma olympics, if you have DID you have DID and that's all!

We get what op means, but still, if beings don't like a term for themself/themselves, leave them be.

We personally don't use therian or otherkin for ourselves, the terms just don't click for us. Like, they technically fit, but we don't like to use them and would prefer others not to use them for us.

We much prefer alterhuman, nonhuman, or just being called our "types/kins."

We don't think we are "better" than those who use those terms. We just don't like the terms for us.

None of this is an "attack" or anything on op, just a little reminder that beings not liking specific terms for themself/themselves doesn't mean that they think that term is "less than".

We will draw animals, anthros, humans, human-like beings (robots/androids, vampires, etc.), and items (headphones, collars/chokers, pencils, etc).

We will NOT do NSFW or tons of gore. We will do light gore (scars, a little bit of blood, bruises, etc).

We will NOT do any commissions for free, our art even though it's not that good takes time, energy, and supplies.

NO racism, homophobia, transphobia,ableism, systemmeds/pluralmeds, transmeds, proship, radqueer stuff, etc.

LGBTQ+, plural (any origin), disabled, agere, and alterhumans and nonhumans are all allowed (hate phrasing it that way but whatever).

We will do parts of the body (headshots, head and torso/body, full body, etc.) We aren't very good with hands and feet (for humans/human-like beings that aren't anthros).

After you buy the art you can do almost anything with it. You can NOT feed it to AI or anything like that. You also do not need to give us credit, although we would appreciate credit.

We aren't really good at drawing but we are thinking of starting to do commissions soon. Are there any good tips for both art and commissions?

Like what's the best way to get the money from commissions (PayPal, gofundme, etc)? [And other tips for commissions].

Also just art/drawing tips for both traditional and digital.

[We don't have a job, are working on getting disability income, and the body's dad only gets disability and retirement so we don't have very much money.]
