trust never came naturally to me before, but now it is like a language i knew all along. i know that you will be there when i get home. that you will answer the phone when i call. that if everything falls apart, i will still have you. every day with you i am learning and i am growing into the person that i have always wanted to be. like a tree finally deemed worthy of watering, i grow.

Every so often I just feel so extremely grateful for the existence of Sefaria.
I mean, like… over a hundred million searchable words of Torah, Talmud, and other texts? With translations? And easily navigable links to and from other commentaries? All of these sources openly available at the mere touch of a keyboard, whether I’m at home or out somewhere? And all of this for free???
This modern world sure does have its perks.
what do you do to include judaism in your daily life?
i’m looking for suggestions of ways to include little jewish things, behaviours, and practices in my daily life! i’m atheist leaning, i’d say? so it’s a bit of a struggle- but i’m still more than happy to hear about suggestions that involve Hashem!
(i’m asking around jumblr (so you might see this ask on other blogs))
Hello!! Thanks for the ask!
I’m not sure how much value someone who is atheist leaning would get out of these things, so I apologize if this isn’t what you’re looking for, but here’s how I include Judaism in my life!
- Lots of Torah study and Jewish readings
- I’m involved with two Jewish organizations through my college and engage with their MANY events
- Learning to make and/or eating Jewish foods
- Making copious amounts of challah
- Saying the Shema twice and day and relevant brachos if I know them! Also frequently learning new ones! Like I recently learned there’s one for seeing a strange animal for the first time! A great resource for this is https://www.brachos.org/
- Keeping kosher (mostly! I’m working on it!) or at least eating with intention
- Trying to learn Hebrew but I’m really bad at languages :/
- Reading a page of Talmud a day through the Daf Yomi emails from https://www.myjewishlearning.com
- Touching the mezuzah on my doorpost every time I come home
- Studying the history of the Jewish people
- Learning and participating in new traditions
- Learning traditional hymns and songs
- Tzedakah
- Trying to be Shabbat observant but it’s a work in progress
- Having Jewish decor in my home
- Being intentional with my words and actions and considering how they may impact myself and others
- Feeding my pets before I feed myself
There’s probably more things I’m forgetting but this is all I can think of right now!
I hope this helped!

There will be a material blessing reaching you in 2022. This could be an (expensive) gift, a raise in salary or the use of money (like a holiday trip) which will help you a lot and give you a sense of security.
I sense a lot of feminine energy, implying the year will more require you to react than to act, this can be a welcome change, especially if the last year(s) forced you to do many things you usually don´t like.
It will be quite a calm year for you, which might make you worry a little if this is the calm before the storm but it isn't! You will have a stable, lovely year full of serenity, do not worry about it!
I have the feeling the last year(s) made you feel stuck in one place, this energy might reach over the next year but please do not worry, this will only be like this at the beginning of the year, then things will change.
I see a strong change actually, maybe you will move, maybe you will get in a relationship or you will find a new job or maybe all of this! You will definitely break out of the old routine of the last year(s).
It might be difficult at first to get used to it but in the end, you will love it, I promise. You will feel a complete change in your life and your own way of perception.
At the beginning of the year, it almost seems like someone is betraying you or trying to do something behind your back, so you better watch out for that. It might break your trust in this person.
This might cause you to leave this person, this environment you´ve been living in for now. For some of you, this also indicated a move to another city. It could also indicate you leaving a certain group of your family or friends behind.
At the end of the year, you might still be looking back and wondering if you´ve done the right decision but you did, do not worry and then you will be happily moving toward.
You will be making a decision in the next year which will very much influence your life and maybe even those around you. You will be the judge of something and people will follow your lead but do not worry, you will know what you´re doing.
This decision will turn your life upside down but in a very good way. It will be the change you needed all those years but maybe did not even notice.
In the end, you will be ruling your life in a way you never experienced before. You might also be leading some other people, which might indicate work as a teacher or something in that direction.
