adding onto this, can matthew cook too?? like if the brothers were to live together would matthew be the one to cook or would alfred? or they both can cook but one of them is clearly better than the other?

in my eyes alfred's still the better cook, cuz when i searched up canadian cuisine it did not look as appetizing as american food😭😭 and in general i see matthew as more,, disorganized? laid back, if u will. i mean alfred worked his way to the top of the world while matthew is chill where he is. plus alfred's been shown to not drink alcohol while matthew canonically smokes weed, the only thing that maple slurper cooks is crack

and i like the idea that alfred is usually such a carefree character but has to double down to take care of his twin. like, since arthur couldnt cook, alfred had to learn how to while growing up so they didnt starve while francis did all of the cooking for matthew so mattie didnt need to learn and now he needs someone else to do it for him

im curious if people in this fandom portray alfred as being able to cook or not?? cuz like i understand that he has strange tastebuds canonically, but that doesn't mean he's bad at cooking right?

on one hand it makes sense, but on the other hand i like it when alfred knows how to cook because of those farm movies where the characters talk about "good ol' southern cooking", and the disney princess literally known for her cooking is american (love u tiana)

I'm not saying he's great at it like france, cuz he's definitely a fan of deep frying the weirdest things, but he's definitely up there. i mean, i don't like usuk but one of them has to be able to cook right?? otherwise how do they live???

or maybe this isnt a matter of him being able to cook or not, its just that he doesn't want to?? cuz in every fic i read he never cooks, its always someone else who does (like matthew or ivan)

I have a hedcanon that countries are immortal and they just need a little time to recover. And one day Alfred seriously wanted to use this to win the Darwin Prize (The most ridiculous death or the most ridiculous attempt to deprive himself of the possibility of fertilization. In short, to bring evolution to a dead end, because you're stupid. It suits him perfectly).

But he couldn't do it alone. Therefore, Matthew helped him, despite the fact that the Canadian constantly said that Alfred needed not a prize, but a psychotherapist. And according to all the laws of their family, Matthew, not Alfred, was killed in the process.

And this is the reason why America really took offense at him, because he really won the prize. The prize of Alfred (!) is only because an American was thrown into it with a chainsaw. It's not fair 😤. Therefore, Arthur and Francis had to calm America and treat Matthew, because these two idiots can't sit still and not injure each other for five minutes. By the way, Matthew threw away the prize.
