Kinda out of the blue but lowkey kinsidering a wyrm, I dont know but seeing wyrm pics kinda sparked something in me.

It could be possibly a linktype or even a cameo shift because this one feels random; or maybe I should look into snakes instead (I loved snakes and kinda feel like them since forever anyways)

Pretty random but one of my traits as a tree is giving random gifts to humans.

Sometimes there is just the urge to make a craft I made with my own branches and give it to them as a way to say thank you. It's really euphoric because not only it was made exclusively by me, but it also has an equivalent of growing my own plants and providing it to creatures and continuing the cycle.

I remember that one time I randomly made paper frogs for my human companies (5 of them) and I delicately made each one with heart. I also sent them one chocolate for each on the same day even though it's not valentines day, haha. Whenever someone wants to borrow something for me, I'd gladly give it to them no matter what their kind is.

I know that I am a tree regardless of my personality, but I love finding traits that connect with my tree kintype.

Okay so today's rain is really dense that the power went out for a while.

While the rest of my family kept calm, I growled, felt my (phantom) ears twitch, and grit my teeth. I thought something is after me so I became cautious and ready to bite. Yea, I look calm, but my soul feels threatened, aware of a danger that probably doesnt exist.

I probably had a mental shift for a while, but then the power just went on a few minutes later

This sounds so basic but this is the first time I genuinely acknowledge my behaviours after a while sooo

Physics, biology, and math has been apart of me. I may not be the top people who acknowledge every detail and formula of it, but they pique my interest about discovering my true form as space and its components.

What's it like being otherkin and Other-hearted/a therian? I've always found it interesting even though I'm not any of those things :3

Being an otherkin and a therian is an equivalent to being that kintype/theriotype. Others might have diferent or similar experience, but personally, I am my kintype/theriotype. Not in a mindset way, it's more like "I am *insert kintype/theriotype*". I don't know, my physical body coexist as a human, but I most often picture myself as that kintype/theriotype.

For otherhearted, it is like a special connection. I really love my hearttypes, because they are something that made me... I can say a deep platonic attraction. In general, my hearttypes is the equivalent of my beloved things. I don't IDENTIFY as them, but I feel CONNECTED to them. They are my fictional babies I love to gain comfort with. Kinda like having a favorite plushie or so.

Reminder that peoples experience can be widely diferent than mine!!

hello! i am a therian and ive been struggling to figure out what exactly my types are, despite having identified this way for many many years of my life. i recently realized i feel very strongly like a spotted hyena but im not sure - so I thought id ask ! how did you find out youre a spotted hyena , and do you have any advice ? /nf of course!!!

Hi anon!! Thank you for asking amd I am so sorry if my response is sooo late cuz I just checked the inboxes right now ^_^

As a kid, I kinda felt like I was not human. I didn't really think much about it because humans raised me like their own kind. They rarely teached me about animalistic behaviours, and even show hatred to some of them.

But then, I found a community. The therian community. Well, sort of. Because I got on tiktok to start my journey, it was a bad start. Misinformation was EVERYWHERE. I even felt guilty because I identified as a wolf therian back then, and a lot of people complained that there were "too much" wolf therians. I kept stressing about that and I kept asking if I was faking it. I decided that this is just a phase and "left" the community.

A few months later, in a normal afternoon in my bed; I just decided that "welp, I guess I am non human after all." I am okay again. I have accepted myself that I am not fully human and embraced it. It's kind of odd tho, because I dont have a vision of myself as a wolf even though I identify as a wolf therian. I decided to do a little research. After a while, I saw spotted hyenas. Something sparked in me, as my mind goes "oooh this is definitely me. I am a hyena and a hyena is me".

Getting in tumblr, I also found out that there are more than just therians and mystical otherkins. I also begin to have more complex identites and connections. Since I still love feeling like a wolf, I made it my linktype.

But most importantly, I finally realized that therian is not inclusive in one thing. You don't need to be born as a therian. Physical therians exist and theyre valid. Chosen therians are okay. What I can conclude is that; if you identify as an animal, youre a therian. Boom.

My advice is.. See what label and things that suits you. See what feels like you. If you see a spotted hyena and you can project yourself on it, or if you feel like you're THAT animal, the you are a therian. "But I think I chose to be that" It doesn't matter. "Idk I think I am faking it" You wont fake something you genuinely feel like, right? "But," As long as it makes you happy and free and don't hurt anybody, then you are you. Explore variety of labels that feels right and comfortable to you. <3
