Breaking news from Windsor Castle, HRH Prince Thomas has fallen ill with the sweating sickness. This is crushing news for the royal family, who were planning to relocate back to Windenburg Palace now that sweating sickness cases have dropped in the city.
The royal doctor is attending to Thomas and the family are praying for his good health.
To My People,
With the sweat spreading across our fair country and further out to the North, this is a trying time for all of us. As we all brave this new threat I am humbled by the tales I have heard of people coming together and helping those in need. This I feel truly represents who we are as a united and strong kingdom. It is stories like this that make me confident we will beat this illness as we have overcome all our past struggles.
My physicians have advised all of us to stay away from those infected with the sweat and to burn all bedding from those infected. St Bartholomew’s, St Mary's and St John's are accepting patients who don't have access to a personal physician. I am sending my prayers to all of you.
Let us hold onto the light within us all and shine it bright on this darkness.
Yours Faithfully,
King Avery De Lune Of Windenburg
King Avery writes an address to be printed and sent to all households across the nation;

Some close ups from the wedding...
The newly married royals exited the chapel to fanfare from the guests of the kingdom. The couple waved to the crowd as they boarded their new family carriage, drawn by two horses gifted to the couple from HRH Princess Arielle’s father HRH King Louis Navaree. The couple will be honeymooning in Oasis Springs in Spain before returning to live at their royal residence (also a wedding gift, this time from Williams father King Avery) Chateau de Chenonceau.
When they return, they will also begin their offical royal duties.
The wedding the kingdom has been waiting for! The royal event began with the traditional procession from St James Palace to Notre Lumière Cathedral. Courtiers, nobles and royals were invited inside and the people of the kingdom who were fortunate to be early enough were allowed to stand in special viewing locations that were created outside the cathedral just for the event. There was even a royal lottery where three lucky people from the public were chosen to sit inside the cathedral!
HRH Princess Arielle Navaree was walked down the aisle by her father HRH King Louis Navaree of France, he gave her away to Crown Prince William and the couple bowed together before HRH King Avery and HRH Queen Margaret. Also seated in a throne with his parents is second in line to the throne, Williams brother Prince Thomas. Prince Thomas took the place meant for the Queen mother, who sadly passed last year.
Many royals traveled to see the wedding, pictured in the first painting of the guests are, (From left to right) HRH Princess Avis De Lune, HRH Princess Sophia De Lune, HRH Prince Kingston De Lune, HRH King Mario Valladares of Spain, HRH Queen Lorena Valladares of Spain (she is also Princesses of Monaco), Princess Grace Valladares of Spain, Princess Kiko Misako of Japan, Emperess Toshi Misako of Japan and Duchess Amelia Holbrook of Glimmerbrook.
In the second painting of the guests are, (from right to left) HRH King Louis Navaree of France, HRH Queen Josephine Of France, HRH Princess Isabella of France, Tzar Mironov Petrovna of Russia, Zarina Valeria Petrovna of Russia, Grand Duchess Anastasia Petrovna of Russia and Pharaoh Iritis Amennot of Egypt.
The King and Queen were said to be very proud to welcome the foreign royals and look forward to showing them around the kingdom!
The Palace has released a statement to the court today that the couple are officially engaged! No more speculation needed, now we shall wait to see just what the uniting of the English and French royal families will mean.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
The Windenburg Royal Family has made an official state visit to the Kingdom of France. A visit that has sent courtiers chins wagging, rumours circulating that the visits main intent is to secure an engagement promise with Crown Prince William and one of King Louis Navarre of Brindleton Bay’s daughters. HRH Princess Arielle Navarre or her sister HRH Princess Isabelle Navarre. The match would not only secure a marital alliance but likely will be followed by a treaty uniting England and France.
The notion of a treaty is supported by the fact that both Kings wore simple crowns that had no attachment to either’s lands. HRH King Avery is usually seen wearing the Crown Of Eyes, which belonged to his Grandfather, who's vast Kingdom occupied parts of England, France, Germany and Spain. It’s believed the King didn't wear this crown as a sign of respect to King Louis.
Depicted in the paintings of the royal families Principal Painter in Ordinary, Sir Thomas Lawrence, you can see the arrival of the whole of the royal family, King Avery De Lune, Queen Margaret De Lune, Crown Prince William, Princess Avis, Princess Sophia, Prince Thomas and Prince Kingston. This is the first most of the public is seeing of the Kings younger children, Princess Sophia, Prince Thomas and Prince Kingston. The court has been eager to see the children after rumours Princess Sophia and Prince Thomas were sickly and that’s why they haven't been seen at court events.
Shown in the paintings is the moment both royal families bowed to each other as a sign of friendship and respect.
The last paintings are offical portraits that were presented to Crown Prince William and King Avery for approval before the state visit. This is largely considered standard practice when royals are deciding on potential brides.
The Royal family has released the first paintings commissioned by the King that the new offical court painter Sir Thomas Lawrence has finished. The painter has been given the title of Principal Painter in Ordinary, and will be exclusively painting the royal family both at court and when the family visit other courts. Sir Thomas has been given a rather generous fixed salary, and will surely be living the life of a noblemen with his knew role.
The paintings released today are meant to show the members of the court pictured doing activities they enjoy. It is suspected that the Kings Royal Advisor Duke Jacob Gilbert of Oxfordshire may have chosen this subject so that the kingdom can get to know the royal family better.
The first painting features her Royal Highness Queen Margaret De Lune of Windenburg standing in her garden. The Queen is known for her green thumb and it is said one of the favourite places of courtiers is her rose garden. As it’s one of the most beautiful parts of the palace.
The second painting features His Royal Highness King Avery De Lune of Windenburg, standing in the royal library. The library has one of the largest collections of books on all topics in the country and the King spends a great deal of time in the library, versing himself on as many subjects as possible. This could be the reason for the Kings infamous wit.
The third painting features Her Royal Highness Princess Avis De Lune of Windenburg, practicing music on her piano, which was a gift to the Princess from the French Queen. Princess Avis has been learning to play the piano since the young age of three, and it is apparently the activity she most enjoys learning from her tutors.
The final painting is of his Royal Highness Crown Prince William De Lune of Windenburg, standing in front of his horse, the aptly named ‘lightning’.The horse was a gift from his father and the Prince is known to spend hours almost daily hunting with the prized steed. The Prince will no doubt have to begin to spend less time galavanting into the forest, and more time learning to be King now that he is 16. His age also brings the promise of a possible betrothal soon, the court is rife with gossip on which young lady the prince may be matched with. Surely it will be a Princess from a country the King hopes to align with?
All the royals are pictured in the royal red of the De Lune house.
The offical royal crest of the De Lune family has had an update! This crest was officiated today by his royal Highness King Avery De Lune.
The crest now symbolises the victories of the De Lunes of the past and perhaps is a view to what the King values as a ruler. The rampant lion which previously sat on the top of the crest has now been given pride of place at the centre. The lion was originally added to the De Lune family crest by King Avery’s Great Grandfather, Duke Avery of Windenburg (of whom he shares a name) who helped conquer back English lands from the vicious vikings.
He was regarded as a warrior and knight of the highest renowned and it’s rumoured that much of the population of the newly reconquered England wanted to crown him immediately. The De Lune family however didn't ascend to the thrown until King Avery’s Grandfather, King William the III (of whom the Crown Prince shares his name) used his cunning at appealing to popular political sentiments to aid him in disposing the unpopular King Fulke the VI. It is said King William was so clever he did this without spilling a drop of blood or without any war. It is likely him King Avery is honouring with the owls present in the crest. The Fleur De lis are of course, a reference to the French heritage of the De Lunes.
We believe our new King wants to show the realm and other kingdoms that he prizes courage, strength, wit and valour... and perhaps that he isn't afraid to show a force of strength or outwit his enemies, both in and out of battle.
