Hygiene tips

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating, after using the restroom, after coughing or sneezing, and after touching public surfaces.

Carry a hand sanitizer with you. Make sure the sanitizer contains at least 60% alcohol and rub it over your hands until dry.

When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow to prevent the spread of germs. Dispose of used tissues immediately.

Refrain from touching your eyes, nose, and mouth as much as possible, as these are entry points for germs into your body.

Take showers or baths regularly to keep your body clean and fresh. Use soap and water to thoroughly cleanse your body, paying attention to areas like armpits, feet, and groin.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day for two minutes each time, using fluoride toothpaste. Don't forget to clean your tongue, and replace your toothbrush every three to four months.

Keep your nails short and clean to prevent the buildup of dirt and bacteria. Use a nail brush to scrub under your nails regularly.

Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces in your home, such as doorknobs, light switches, countertops, and electronics. Also, keep your living space well-ventilated.

Wash your clothes, bed linens, and towels regularly, following the manufacturer's instructions. Use the appropriate water temperature and detergent to ensure proper cleanliness.

Avoid sharing personal items like towels, razors, toothbrushes, or makeup.

Practice good food hygiene by washing fruits and vegetables thoroughly before consumption. Cook food to the appropriate temperature to kill harmful bacteria, and refrigerate leftovers promptly.

Keep your surroundings clean: Regularly clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, phones, keyboards, and remote controls. This helps eliminate germs that may be present on these surfaces.

Maintain clean and healthy feet: Keep your feet clean and dry to prevent fungal infections. Wash your feet regularly, dry them thoroughly (especially between the toes), and wear clean socks and well-fitting shoes.

Ensure that the water you use for drinking, cooking, and personal hygiene is clean and safe. If necessary, use water filters or boil the water before use.

If possible, use a shower filter.

If you are sexually active, use barrier methods (such as condoms) to protect yourself from sexually transmitted infections. Get regular check-ups and screenings as recommended by healthcare professionals.

Take care of your mental well-being by managing stress, getting enough sleep, engaging in regular physical activity, and seeking support when needed. Good mental health is essential for overall well-being.

Sleep with aloe vera on your face to help with scars and acne.

Massage your body with oils and lotions after shower or before bed.

Eat greek yogurt to help fix PH balance, acne and odor in your private area.

Wear cotton based underwear.

Do not treat your body like a trashcan.

To smell good during the day:

Regular bathing helps remove sweat, dirt, and odor-causing bacteria from your body.

Apply antiperspirant or deodorant to clean, dry underarms to control sweat and odor.

You can also use baking soda and lemon to get rid of under arm odor.

Put on freshly laundered clothes each day. Clean clothing helps prevent the buildup of odor-causing bacteria and keeps you smelling fresh.

When choosing clothes, opt for natural fibers like cotton or linen, which allow air to circulate and help wick away moisture from your body. Avoid synthetic materials that can trap sweat and lead to unpleasant odors.

Brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss daily, and use mouthwash to maintain fresh breath. Don't forget to clean your tongue as well.

Apply a pleasant fragrance, such as perfume or cologne, sparingly. Avoid excessive application, as it can be overwhelming to others. Focus on pulse points like the wrists, neck, or behind the ears.

Keep your feet clean and dry to prevent foot odor. Wash your feet daily, dry them thoroughly (especially between the toes), and wear clean socks and well-ventilated shoes.

Regularly brush your tongue, as it can harbor bacteria and contribute to bad breath. Visit your dentist regularly for check-ups and cleanings.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to flush out toxins from your body. Staying hydrated can help prevent the buildup of odors.

Certain foods, such as garlic, onions, and spicy dishes, can contribute to body odor. Pay attention to your diet and make choices that minimize strong odors if you are concerned about smelling good.

Keep a small travel-sized deodorant, wet wipes, or refreshing body spray with you to freshen up during the day, especially in hot or humid weather.

Ensure your clothes, towels, and bed linens are washed regularly. Use a detergent with a fresh scent to keep them smelling clean.

Spray perfume on your brush or use natural oils that are safe for your hair.

Wipe front to back to avoid infections. Use toilet paper then wipes.

moisturize your skin.

When washing your hair, make sure you are using products that clean your hair without drying it out.

Keep feminine wipes with you.

The Ultimate Guide to Skincare: AM & PM Routines for Radiant Skin πŸŒŸπŸ§–β€β™€οΈβœ¨

Skincare isn’t just about pamperingβ€”it’s an essential part of maintaining healthy, glowing skin. A good skincare routine should be tailored to your skin’s needs and split into two parts: morning (AM) and evening (PM). Each serves a unique purpose: the AM routine protects your skin throughout the day, while the PM routine repairs and rejuvenates it as you sleep. Let’s dive into an effective step-by-step guide to building your AM and PM routines! 🌸

Why Separate AM and PM Routines? πŸŒžπŸŒ›

AM Routine: Prepares your skin to face the day by focusing on hydration and protection from environmental stressors like UV rays and pollution.

PM Routine: Focuses on deep cleansing, nourishing, and repairing your skin after a long day.

Morning Routine (AM): Prepare and Protect 🌞

Your morning routine should be lightweight and protective, focusing on hydration and shielding your skin from damage.

Step 1: Cleanser 🧼✨

Start your day by removing excess oil and sweat that accumulated overnight. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Use a gentle cleanser suitable for your skin type and rinse with lukewarm water.

Step 2: Toner πŸŒΏπŸ’§

Toners balance your skin’s pH and provide hydration. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Apply toner with a cotton pad or pat it directly onto your skin using your hands.

Step 3: Antioxidant Serum (Vitamin C) 🍊✨

A vitamin C serum brightens your skin and protects it from free radicals caused by sunlight and pollution. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Use 2–3 drops and press it gently into your skin.

Step 4: Eye Cream πŸ‘€πŸ«§

Prevent puffiness and hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Dab a small amount under your eyes using your ring finger.

Step 5: Moisturizer 🧴🌸

Hydrate your skin to keep it smooth and supple throughout the day. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Apply a lightweight moisturizer and massage it into your face and neck.

Step 6: Sunscreen πŸ›‘οΈπŸŒž

The most important step in your AM routine! Sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UV rays, preventing sunburn, premature aging, and skin cancer. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Apply generously to your face, neck, and ears.

Evening Routine (PM): Cleanse and Repair πŸŒ›

Your evening routine is all about cleansing your skin of the day’s grime and giving it the nutrients it needs to regenerate overnight.

Step 1: Double Cleanse πŸ§ΌπŸ›

Oil-Based Cleanser: Removes makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil.

Water-Based Cleanser: Cleanses dirt, sweat, and impurities from your skin. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Start with an oil-based cleanser, then follow with a gentle water-based cleanser.

Step 2: Exfoliate (2–3 Times Weekly) πŸ‹πŸŒ€

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores, and smooths skin texture. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Use a chemical exfoliant (like AHAs or BHAs) or a gentle scrub. Avoid over-exfoliating.

Step 3: Toner πŸŒŠπŸ’§

Apply a toner to restore balance and prepare your skin for serums and treatments. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Pat it into your skin gently.

Step 4: Targeted Treatments (Optional) 🎯✨

Use treatments like retinol, acne spot treatments, or serums targeting specific concerns like pigmentation or wrinkles. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Apply a thin layer of your treatment product to problem areas.

Step 5: Hydrating Serum (Hyaluronic Acid) πŸ’§πŸŒ™

For overnight hydration and plump skin, apply a hyaluronic acid serum. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Use 2–3 drops and press gently into your skin.

Step 6: Eye Cream πŸ‘€πŸŒΌ

Repair and hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes to reduce fine lines and puffiness. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Dab it lightly around the eye area.

Step 7: Moisturizer or Night Cream 🧴🌟

Lock in moisture and nourish your skin as it repairs overnight. Choose a richer cream or one with repairing ingredients like peptides. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Massage it into your face and neck.

Step 8: Facial Oil (Optional) πŸŒΉπŸ›Œ

If your skin feels extra dry, apply a facial oil to seal in moisture and wake up with glowing skin. πŸ‘‰ How-to: Warm a few drops in your hands and press it into your skin.

Skincare Tips to Complement Your Routine πŸ“πŸš°

Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day πŸ’§.

Eat a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and healthy fats πŸ‡πŸ₯‘.

Get 7–9 hours of quality sleep every night to allow your skin to regenerate πŸ›Œ.

Manage stress levels, as stress can lead to breakouts and dull skin 😌.

Be consistentβ€”results take time, so stick to your routine! πŸ•’

Conclusion πŸŒŸπŸ’›

A well-structured AM and PM skincare routine is your secret weapon for radiant, healthy skin. While it may take a little time to find the products that work best for you, the effort is worth it. Remember, skincare isn’t just self-care; it’s self-love. Treat your skin with kindness, and it’ll reward you with a natural glow! 🌺✨

How to get your life together : a guide

How To Get Your Life Together : A Guide

1) Make a list of goals you want to achieve, if you don’t you’re going to forget about them. It could be yearly goals, it could be monthly goals or both (even better). Just write them down and put them somewhere you can see them every day. Also don’t forget about the smart rule :

Specific (simple, sensible, significant).

Measurable (meaningful, motivating).

Achievable (agreed, attainable).

Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based).

Time bound (time-based, time limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).

2) Choose habits which will lead your towards your goals. You want to be a the top of your class ? Start by actually completing your homework, assignments and by paying attention in class. You want strong and healthy hair ? Stop using heat every day and start a hair care routine. Yes, it is that simple trust me.

3) Starts adding those habits to your daily life and be realistic. For exemple, if you want to achieve your dream body start exercising and eating healthy. You want to keep those achievable and enjoyable : if you used to never step away from your couch for too long, you are not going to exercise 5 times a week right away. Start small, start with maybe twice a week and then add more when you feel ready.

4) Stop making excuses. You cannot reach your goals if you find excuses to stay home and do nothing such as « I will start on MondayΒ Β» or « I am a bit tired today so I’ll just restΒ Β». Don’t, if you really are motivated you will start right now and won’t skip your workout. The less you do, the less you wanna do.

5) Remind yourself why you wanna reach those goals and motivate yourself. You cannot solely rely on motivation, you have to create it yourself. Make vision boards of you dream life and ask yourself why you want to get out of your actual situation. If you already feel miserable and lazy in your every day life it won’t hurt to at least try, right ?

6) Enjoy the steps. That one is the most important. If you feel like completing a workout is torture, you will last a week or two tops. If doing your skin care or a daily walk feels boring, you will stop doing it. Try making those interesting by watching a movie or listening a podcast at the same time, find a workout you’re actually able to enjoy.

7) Finally : enjoy your results. If you’ve kept up the work for months, even weeks you will see them. People will start praising you about your hair, your skin… You will be able to see those changes yourself when you look at your body or at your grades. You will also be more confident because when you decide to put in the work and get results, you will be so proud of yourself I can assure you that.

how to actually grow in 2024

How To Actually Grow In 2024
How To Actually Grow In 2024
How To Actually Grow In 2024

introduction:

hey loves! to keep it short i don't like new years resolution's at all. this time each year all these adults talk about how this is the year they're going to lose weight or be more active, and it rarely ever works. most people fail their new year's resolutions because the concept in itself is flawed. but anyways, i know that a lot of people find them fun, so i'll give some tips on how to actually improve this year :)

why do resolutions fail?

theyre hard to measure. when people make their resolutions to 'eat healthier' or 'exercise more' it's not something you can really measure because it's not specific.

goals vs. habits:

how to grow:

create goals that're attainable and measureable. i like to avoid goals that're like "i want to workout everyday for 30 minutes", because that's more of a habit (working out daily) and also it's pretty hard to accomplish since there might be days when you're sick, or too busy, etc.

example:

instead of "i want to sew more in 2024" -> "i want to sew 10 projects in 2024"

instead of "i want to read more in 2024" -> "i want to read 10 books in 2024"

create a step by step plan. when you set a goal you need to think about HOW you're going to accomplish it. this is where daily habits come in.

alter your daily routine to incorporate new healthy habits. anytime i want to get a new habit i just do it little by little everyday. like read for 10 minutes or meditate for 5.

first of all: don't wait for new year's! i know it just feels good to think that the new year is when you're going to start doing all these things, but really you should be starting before then. don't wait

remember: progress ISNT linear!! you might have a month (or multiple) where you're really in a slump and not doing what you want to be doing, but that doesn't mean that you failed in any way. you don't need to wait for a new year to have a clean slate, just brush yourself off after these mistakes and keep going. progress isn't something that is constant- you have good times and bad times, you just need to keep doing your thing.

sending u all positive energy and all of my love :) -amy <3
