We Have An Alter Who Is A Dragon And Used To Just Go By Dragon At First, Lol.

I decided to try and make some userboxes myself for us.

Don't know how well they actually turned out, but we love them!!!

We don't believe we have DID or OSDD, but we are plural, and it does seem like our trauma affected our plurality.

We won't argue with anyone trying to say that we actually have DID/OSDD. It doesn't even really matter to us that much whether we do or do not. All that really matters is that we are plural.

We have had our moments of thinking that our trauma wasn't "bad enough" and shit like that. So, this post definitely helps a bit.

Remember, comparing trauma is not good for anyone.

whenever I hear people say this I always wonder, what metric are you using? your tolerance for how things affect you now as a teenager, or adult?

something that you experienced as a child is going to use a completely different metric! a child's brain is much less developed than an adult's and what they're able to handle is much less. for instance maybe you like horror movies? you probably can watch them without even getting scared! but if you watched the same film at 7 years old it would likely be a lot different!!

you don't need extreme trauma in order to have DID. it just needed to be extreme enough to YOU as a child, that's all. You got bullied at school? that's enough to develop DID! you had a disorder from an early age that made life hard? that's enough to develop DID! your parents were neglectful? that's enough to develop DID!

there's no such thing as gold star DID you don't need to have gone through the worst of the worst. there's no need for trauma olympics, if you have DID you have DID and that's all!

So random update on the whole creating packmates thing. Hit the "keep reading" if you want to.

We have 2 packmates that have shown up after we were thinking about creating them, and we didn't really do much to "actually go about creating them." We wrote down stuff about them and did a little bit of "role-playing" in our head with them (we do this for tons of ocs, some of which we have introjected or gotten kins of but we have ones that neither of these things happened for). So that's fun.

We have Arden Cat, who is a minecraft fictive and kin (they use both terms for itself). Thir source/canon is a bit different than the "traditional" minecraft. Iv are an ender cat nether wolf hybrid. Ixs technical source is specifically Stampy's Lovely World [anyone who thinks this is cringe or whatever, get off our blog], and they hold our special hyperfixation for both Minecraft and Stampy's Lovely World.

We also have Nile Conley-Wayne, who is a DC and batfam fictive. In their source/canon, it was the second adopted child of Bruce, being adopted not too long after Dick. They had 3 partners [all ocs] in its canon. We are planning on trying to introject at least one of the partners. Nile is nonhuman. Not sure what else to say about Nile.

We have 2 that we planned out a bit for that we haven't gotten to actually show up yet.

We have Rylo, who isn't supposed to be a fictive or anything, but they could end up being one. We are planning for them to be an "anthro golden jackal dhole maned wolf hybrid + working dog (no specific breed and doesn't affect appearance)." We are hoping to have these be their roles (taken right from our thing for them). "Assidumate, motivator, nummica, spoon generator, worker, and maybe cohost(?)" [Link to where we found the roles]. This is all we are gonna mention about Rylo for now.

We also have Curren Woolley, who is a DC fictive sort of based around the Arrowverse. They are the partner of Nile that we want to introject. They are a part of team Flash and see that team as their family. Curren is nonhuman. This is all we are gonna mention about Curren for now.

We also have an idea for a packmate that we wanna create, but all we really know so far is what role(s) we want them to have. Here are the roles: "Somnoian, sleep soother, sleeper, and drowser." Basically, we need a packmate to help with sleep. We are thinking maybe a cat could fit them? Cause cats like to sleep a lot, but we don't know. If anyone has any ideas we would love to hear them!

Do any beings know how to go about making a tail and/or ears with brushed off fur from a dog? Or where to find information about that kind of thing? (We have a husky, and we want to use some of his fur to make at least a tail and maybe ears as well).

We are thinking about using the start of a yarn tail to add the fur to it (we also need fur safe dye cause our dog's fur is white and ours should be a kind of dark brown). Would this work?

We wanna make a tail cause we aren't really able to properly find an ethical tail seller [we are disabled, we aren't gonna go more into it], and we have heard that fake fur tails aren't really that great. We might just end up making just a yarn tail if we can't find a way to use our dog's fur for it. [Are yarn tails good for the environment and stuff?]

We are plural and have an alter/headmate (we wanna find a different term so badly) that is a dragon, and it wanted to basically have us say hello to a fellow dragon, lol.

Currently, it is just going by a placeholder name of Dragon. Honestly, if you have any name ideas for them, we would have to hear the ideas!

I have been really going through it with bad memories from my life as Zuki lately, lol.

So, instead, I wanna share some good memories I have so I can balance out the bad.

Since I was like an older sibling to Izuku, I would let him help me preen my wings and shit, which is a thing for mostly family [and mates]. He was one of the only ones that I allowed to do this for a long time. Eventually, others from Class 1A got added to the list of people who were allowed to even touch my wings, let alone preen them. Hikari, my queer platonic partner, was the second person who I allowed to preen my wings [of my class], we may not have been romantic, but they were still my mate. Hitoshi was the third cause he was my little brother, legally this time, lol. Toshi was the least likely to ask to preen my wings though, even after getting permission to ask, I would usually have to ask him if he wanted to help for him to feel like he could, lol [it did come from his trauma though so it's ok, love you bro]. I allowed Denki to touch my wings and tail cause it would help with his ADHD sometimes, which mood I would play with my own tail to help my ADHD, lol. There are others, but these are the ones I feel like sharing rn.

Bro, I remember hanging out with the "girls" [I use quotes cause not everyone identified as a girl/woman]. We would have "girl's night," which once again not everyone identified with that gender but it's pretty much what we would call it, lol. It was fun. We would paint each other's nails. The ones who knew makeup and shit would help those who wanted to learn. And we would just talk about shit. I miss these "girl's nights" so much.

I miss the game nights we would have as a whole class. We had to ban some games cause of how people got, lol. Monopoly was the first one to be banned, lol. We would play Uno the most, even though people got very competitive [*cough* Bakugo and me mainly *cough*]. We also had to ban truth or dare, and I will not be explaining why, I think it's obvious why. Would you rather and never have I ever were allowed though, lol.

Dadzawa and Papamic would take me, Eri, and Toshi to do fun activities, such as arts and crafts, go trick or treating, and other fun shit, lol. I would usually end up carrying Eri at some point cause she loved to be carried, and it helped with my protective instincts, lol. I would usually wrap my wings around her while holding her, and she loved it. If someone who is good at art would draw that for me, I would love it [I don't have money rn so I'm not gonna commission anyone right now, but I might when I get enough money, lol].

I would never have described myself as good with kids, and I would say that I wasn't a lot. My friends and family tended to disagree with me there. They would bring up how good I was with Eri, Kota, and a kid who is not canon. But I would bring up in response that they were all traumatized kids that I latched onto in a sibling way mainly but also cause I saw bits of myself in them and didn't want them to not have someone. Other kids I was definitely not good with. I would say I'm not really good with kids in this life, even though at the church I am forced to go to, I help with the kids, lol. Kids are kinda weird.

I remember Remo, my service dog, and despite the fact that I had been so fucking upset that I needed another being/creature with me to function, I loved him. I remember when I would have him off duty and use my quirk to become a little wolfdog with wings spirit thing and play with him, lol. I also used that to play with Hikari, whose quirk let them become certain animals, lol. It was very fun to do these things and I miss being able to do that.

I really miss everyone. I miss my life as Zuki. I miss my pack. I miss my wings. I miss my tail. I miss my ears. I miss my sharp teeth. I miss my claws. I miss being Zuki physically.

because hey that’s what a therian is!

to say you don’t identify as a therian because you just ARE that animal is to say that therians AREN’T really the animal they claim to be. which is so wrong. to say you don’t like the term therian because it’s ‘too human’ is so insensitive.

therians are not necessarily human! someone calling themself a therian in no way makes them human! equating therians with humans is weird!

stop treating us like we are human, stop trying to separate ‘really being an animal’ from being a therian. they are the same thing. you’re not superior or different to us because you “really are that animal”. we all are.

We are probably gonna make a new pinned post soon, as we have edited the other one so much that a new pinned post is probably better.

Also, question: What would the "human" version of this kinda thing be? Like a version to talk about being in a human body (or what appears to most as a human body) but maybe not being human? (Strikeout cause dumb question, lol)

Theriform [Official Coining Post]

Theriform Adjective (can applied as a noun in certain phrasing, see examples)

From θηρίον (thēríon) [diminutive of θήρ thḗr, “wild beast”] and μορφή (morphe) ["shape"/"figure"/"look"].

Definition:

A theriform animal is one which was born into a body that is typical/expected of it's species and observable as such by everyone, with species-typical levels of sapience/intelligence and whose behaviour is unaltered by being born into a human body/raised in a form perceived as human.

It is not the 'opposite' of therian despite similar etymology but is instead to be viewed as a complimentary term to therian, nonhuman, alterhuman, otherkin etc as it exists to specify certain details of a species whilst not invalidating the identities of those who are not theriform. It is made to replace potentially invalidating phrases like 'bio(logical) animal' or 'real animal'.

It is not an identity label and therefore has no flag or symbol and does not need one. Do not create these things please, or use the term to describe yourself on a personal level.

Alternative versions for non-animals could include: floraform, nat(ur)form, techform, fictoform, feyform, voidform, starform, divineform etc

Examples:

"Lol it's so funny being a cat and having a theriform cat as a pet we're both just kitties vibing but with different body shapes."

"Just because they're the same species are you does not mean you are able to take care of wild theriforms."

"The fact that there aren't that many theriforms of my species is so saddening."

"I wanna do quads alongside a pack of theriform wolves so bad!"

"I am transspecies, here is what I do/what I want to do to look more theriform."

"I wonder if theriforms get species dysphoria?"
