Dylan in 2013 is the best thing in the world.
May we meet again.
Clarke being the last and the first person that he sees
I'm an avid reader, but I discovered Percy Jackson late. I was in fourth grade when I was recommended The Lightning Thief by my local librarian. Curious, I stopped by to pick up a copy. Once I got started, I was intrigued. I couldn't stop. It was like another Harry Potter type of excitement I hadn't felt since I started Harry Potter in first grade. Percy spoke to me like no one else. I shipped Percabeth since the beginning, they are my ultimate OTP. That summer, I read the five originals and the first two of HoO, since they were the only out. As soon as I finished TSoN, I preordered TMoA, and waited 4 months for its arrival. On October 4th, 2012, I received TMoA. I was crying for days over the ending. I preordered THoH as soon as I was finished on October 6th, 2012. After waiting a grueling year and four days, I received THoH on October 8th, 2013. I finished in two days again. Now, I have waited 363 days for TBoO, and I will get it in 2 1/2. On October 7th, 2014. Many are saying its the end, but there never shall be one. Because Percy Jackson lives on! Forever in our hearts! You are only truly in the fandom if you believe that books are everlasting. Especially this one. đź’‹

"Sweetheart." <- unironically
(if nico ever got flustered bc of will’s hotness) "Oh, please, Death Boy- don’t choke. At least…not yet."
"Well, sure, there’s that rule about no boy and girl being alone in a cabin. But…no one ever said anything about two boys."
(and once nico is confident...
Okay but the importance of romanticising soft kind thoughtful boys who are open about their feelings and sweet in general cannot be overstated. More romantic leads who check in on their girls , who don’t care about being seen as “whipped” , who go out of their way to bond with little sisters and moms and dads , and who don’t try to change the girl they’re with at all. We need to romanticise soft kind boys, so that young girls see soft kind boys as the ideal romantic partner. Teach young girls through media that being with the asshole guy isn’t what they need, teach young girls to find kind boys who actually talk to them about real stuff, who watch the movies they like, who never tease them or mock them, who stand up for them and are never ever embarrassed of them, who notice their smarts and their personality, who understand their fears and their struggles, and actually care about them. If we make that the ideal Love Interest™️ character more young girls will see that as someone to strive for, and maybe less of them will settle for guys who treat them poorly because of it.
omg, i s2g i figured riverdale’s mystery out
to summarize (sorry for repetition from other post but i wanted everything in one post):Â
1. everyone keeps pointing out how similar archie and jason looked and were. they had more in common than sports; they were both tutored by ms grundy (pause for vom), they were both at the river. they both had red hair. archie was the intended target, and the killer is grundy’s husband.Â
why? like i’ve said, i hated that plot to high hell but grundy did seem to be really genuinely afraid of him (assuming that was the truth), afraid that he’d do something terrible to her. if it was the truth and that’s why she changed her identity, then ostensibly he’s real dangerous.Â
2. plot wise, also like i’ve said, it would rly teach archie a lesson in consequences and shake up his naivety, but it also makes sense because the only other people with motives to torture a kid for a week seemed to acquit themselves in the recent episode
polly has an alibi, the coopers genuinely seem like they didn’t do it (plus it’d be way too obvious), and the blossoms wouldn’t torture jason
3. we’re halfway through the season; if we haven’t met the killer yet i’d be surprised. if i’ve learned anything by doing meta and theories is how to structure pacing. the killer has to strike again, and it has to be someone we’ve seen; someone who’s a recurring character. all of the main characters seem innocent.Â
so back to my first point, who’s the only lone character with those connections to grundy and archie, re: music?Â
professor oscar castillo.
4. remember in 1x05 where he stiffened at the name “grundy” ? he said “the music teacher who left?” remember when he turned away and said something weird about the connection she clearly had with archie? how he clearly hated archie on sight? he’s grundy’s husband.Â
the actor has been booked for a recurring role [x], and i’ll bet he was at the river that day, he thought jason was archie, but after he’d realized it wasn’t archie he couldn’t let jason leave. so he tortured him for information on grundy and archie and eventually shot jason, but now has to wait for the right time to strike again.Â
it’s him. he did it. i’ll put money on it.
i can’t believe they played with our jake’s emotions like THAT
