I love the fact that out of the four main guys that we ship Steve with...

Two of them are dead (Billy, Eddie)

and the other two, he hasn't spoken to since, like, season 2 (Tommy, Jonathan.)

and I love that, despite these facts, the ships are still going strong.

I love the idea of everyone saying Steve is hot, attractive, has great hair, etc — but Eddie always has the most out of nowhere/blunt compliments for Steve because he is genuinely in love with every part of Steve and unable to help himself.
