Put down the soda and pick up a glass of water. Put down the bag of chips and put on some running shoes. Put down the burger and see how many sit ups you can do in one minute. Put down the candy bar and see how many push ups you can do before it burns. Put down the cookie and see how many squats it takes for your whole body to sweat.

Put away the butter. You’re literally putting fat on top of the fat already in what you’re gonna eat. Don’t lick that spoon, that’s like 15 extra calories. Don’t eat the crumbs. There’s a trash for a reason. Don’t buy the large. You don’t need it. It’s not just one bite. You know that.

Have an apple. They’re delicious. Cook up an egg white omelette for breakfast. Almond milk is actually kind of tasty. Measure everything. Eat slower. Drink lots of water. Swap your fork for chopsticks. Cover half your food with so much salt it’s nasty to eat. Every bite is 2 squats. Every binge is a 30 minute jog. Become a vegetarian. Snack on fruits. Melons are delicious. Berry ice smoothies instead of ice cream please. Wear out those shoes. Show people you really do work hard. Experiment. Drink tea. Spin in circles.

But don’t forget to

Do you hair. DIY face mask. Hair mask too. Ever try that charcoal black mask? Moisturize… everything. Use baby oil when you shave your legs. So smooth. Have a bath with a pretty bath bomb. Listen to your favourite tunes getting ready. Treat yourself to a mani pedi Ever heard of henna? It’s beautiful. Read a book. Wing that eyeliner like you could fly away one day. Make that highlighter glow. Or, just rock your beautiful naked face. Dance around your house in an old shirt. Buy yourself some cute underwear.

You read all day to cut your carbs and to avoid fatty foods and keep as low cal as possible. You read all day ways to burn off the little you ate too after leaving your mouth watering and your cravings unsatisfied. It’s hard. So don’t forget to treat yourself once in a while. You’re strong. You deserve it.

Age 6

I was called fat by a boy a year older than me I wasn’t even fat then I cried all night when I found out what ā€˜fat’ meant

Age 7

I had a crush on one of my best friends He always told me that I wasn’t fat He even once sat in a way to make it look like he had rolls in his stomach so that I didn’t feel bad

Age 10

I stepped on a boy’s toe by accident He asked how much I weighed out of anger I didn’t say anything Too ashamed to admit that I weighed 67 kilograms

The boy that called me fat when I was 6 was right I am fat

Age 12

I absolutely hated myself I weighed near 80 kilograms Somehow the boys seemed to be kind to me Everyone were It felt strange

Age 13

I’m a teenager now I need to be perfect I wasn’t close to it I never kept track of my weight

Age 14

I hit 100 kilograms by February I hated my body a lot It made me depressed

Do you know what I do when I’m depressed? I eat And eat And eat And I don’t stop

Age 15

I hit 120 kilograms Disgusting If February I turned to Tumblr I discovered ā€˜Ana’ I lost a few kilograms But I didn’t have enough self control and gained it all back

Age 16

I went back to Tumblr I rediscovered ā€˜Ana’ I made a commitment I had hit 130 kilograms before I started I started counting calories I exercised two hours a day I fasted often I lost weight

Age 17

I’m back to 80 kilograms I feel amazing I look so much better My mom and dad are so proud My uncle even took me shopping for new clothes

Age 18

I’m was close to 60 kilograms in January I had to lose more Ana told me it was best I believed her

Age 19

I often pass out I’m pale I’m bony I’m in the 40’s now But it’s worth it I look beautiful Dainty Ethereal Small

Age 20

I practically live in the hospital My BMI is much lower than my age My organs are failing I’m dying But it’s all worth it Right? At least I’m not fat anymoreĀ

Detox Waters

If you, like me, get kind of sick of water here are some recipes I’m trying out. Let me know your favorites. Drink water kids and stay safe.Ā 

Watermelon and Strawberry Mint Detox Water Ingredients:Ā 

4 cups watermelon in /2 inch cubes, lightly mashedĀ 

½ pint strawberries, sliced in half 

6 sprigs mint (lightly crushed)Ā 

Ā Blueberry and Orange Detox Water Ingredients:Ā 

2 Mandarin Oranges, cut into wedgesĀ 

Handful of blueberriesĀ 

Ā Slim Down Detox Water Ingredients:Ā 

 ½ gallon purified water 

 ½ lemon, sliced 

 ½ lime, sliced 

 ½ grapefruit, sliced 

Ā 1 cup cucumber, slicedĀ 

Apple Cinnamon Detox Water Ingredients:Ā 

1 Apple thinly sliced, cut away the seeds.Ā 

1 Cinnamon Stick. I don’t recommend using powdered cinnamon, it clogs the water.Ā 

Metabolism Boosting Mango Ginger Water Ingredients:Ā 

1 inch Ginger Root, peeled and slicedĀ 

1 cup Frozen Mango- fresh is fine tooĀ 

Raspberry Orange Detox Water Ingredients:Ā 

1 thinly sliced orangeĀ 

1 pint raspberries (lightly crushed)Ā

1 medium cucumber, cleaned, peeled (or unpeeled depending on your preference) and cut into ½ inch slices.

A note about being at your ugw.

I remember the first time I was at my goal weight last winter. I had come home for a break, and weighed myself at home. I saw the number flashing on the screen, and thought ā€œno way, this isn’t realā€. When I went to my nanas house for a holiday, I went to the bathroom in her house with a floor to ceiling mirror, and a scale. I stripped, got on the scale, and saw that number again. I turned around and looked in the mirror, and suddenly didn’t understand why I was so shocked. I looked better. I picked my legs up, my arms, covered my boobs with my hands, sucked my non existent belly in, twirled, posed every which way… And then I dressed myself, went back to the dining room, and lied when my uncle said ā€œyou look good! You look like you’ve lost weight, you look like you’re about 100 pounds soaking wet!ā€ I replied; ā€œNo, I’m about 120ā€. When I went back to school, I dressed any way I wanted to, I felt so much more confident. But months later, I got too comfortable, and I started eating again.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, I am at my highest weight ever. The hardest part about this is that when you go from your goal weight to your highest, everybody notices. And everybody says something. Everyday I think to myself, ā€œWhat have I done?ā€. But I know what I did. And I know what I have to do. Please for the love of god, for the love of whatever you believe in, don’t make this mistake. I’m scared now that when I get back to my goal weight in a couple of months, people will start to wonder what’s causing so much weight flux in my body. Please please please do not make my mistakes. When you get to your goal weight, STAY THERE.
