It’s not a secret Clarice and Eric are the number one bickering duo and can literally never find a common ground. However, there’s one instance in which the two are a united front - Y/N.

You see, Y/N’s the only person who can defuse whatever fight that could breakout between the two, seeing as how they know each of the two better than anyone. That probably has something to do with the fact that they’re dating them both - separately, cause God forbid Eric and Clarice being in the same relationship. Shit would hit the motherfucking fan if the two had to be in the same relationship which they luckily don’t. Being the antidote to both their dark sides, is the only thing the two have in common is their love for Y/N. And that’s the only thing that brings them together into a like-minded alliance.

Like right now, for example.

“Y/N come on! What’s the worst that could happen? You’re a soldier after all.“ Clarice practically begs as she is staring into the stone-cold face of the unshakeable Y/N.

They’ve been going back and forth for a day and a half now - ever since Eric gave them the news of the trip to Iraq with a new team he was assigned. The minor detail that bothers Y/N is the fact that said team belongs to his ex wife.

And man do they not want to be dealing with her anytime soon…or ever.

“The worst? You wanna know what’s the worst that can happen?“ They ask, earning themself an eager but very innocent and pleading nod from Clarice, “That ex wife of his could eat me alive, skin bone and everything in between. That’s what could happen.“

The doctor rolls her eyes, “I’d never let her do that. I don’t tend to speak highly of Eric, but he wouldn’t let that happen either. Hell, you’d be able to fend her off just fine!” The girl starts pacing while Y/N keeps their eyes on her, a small smile playing at their lips with amusement. “We could really use the backup too! Please! Pretty please?”

Their eyes widen, playing the ‘offended’ card, “Oh, I see. You only want me as backup, got it.“
