After 3 seconds of thought, we have an offical name for fcdesert.
The game is officially 'Secrets of Heraby'.
i will still refer to it as fcdesert because i have gotten used to saying fcdesert.
also i finished the keybinding menu and am working on the fourth boss of the game. it is going to be wild.
i decided that the current knight death animation was not good enough so i made a new one
i also figured out that the spian (i think i'll rename it to throwable pain) will do, it will be a throwable item that does 3x damage, but you lose the item until you pick it up again.

i added more lore because we know the best way to tell a story within a video game
also i made 2 new items
dodging charm:
when you equip this item, you can sometimes dodge enemy's attacks, with the disadvantage where you take 1.5x damage.
black bow:
this is the most powerful bow in the game, it shoots 4 of your arrows in all directions and it deals double the damage of your sword.
the sequel for this game is already being discussed (finish first game? HAHA TALK ABOUT NEXT GAME GO BRRRRRRRRRRR)

So there will be 3 acts:
act 1: The Desert this act will start on the bottom of the magical pyramid and ends on the top. each room will be randomized no matter what
act 2: The Castle This act will start at the entrance of the castle and end on the highest tower. this act will have traditional rougelike generation (I just finished making that system and i am almost dead, do you have any idea how many bugs i had to fix)
act 3: ??? generation is the same as last act

once upon a time a friend and I wanted to make a rouglike game together. We did not have an official name for it so we gave it a code name. the fc in fcdesert is for "fredrik connor". connor is the artist and i am doing everything else. so far i have made some of the game and some of the website.
menu background:
connor made this, he also said that it was painful drawing every pixel (this is 500x500, so that means that he did now know that he could just resize the pixels at that time).
player:
this is when the player has the most powerful weapon equiped, i edited this sprite to give it different weapons:
as you can see there is a clear difference between his art and my art.
gameplay:
im thinking that it should take place in an magical pyramid where the rooms change, it will make it so that every time you enter a room it is always different.
also as you can see there is a white square following the player, i am currently making the enemy AI (i am making a different AI for each type of monster) and forgot to take it out before recording.
